This morning was a heavy condensate outside. Our electronic thermostat pumped the anti chill on this morning and inside we had no condensate, unlike those who wait till the end of never to do so. Condensate in the house causes damp and mould. make sure your utilities are fixed and any WHD is applied. BoP mope ends!0

Still off, I am taking as many steps as possible to make sure it doesn't go on, we now have warm throws in the lounge, there is a rota for closing curtains, a door curtain, the draft excluders are out and there are extra blankets on the bed.DMP 2021-2024: £30,668 £0 🥳

If I had 7 kids, I would stuff them into 2 double beds - no need for heating / HWB overnightValue-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

We're officially back in winter mode here! The house feels cold upstairs first thing in the morning, but I see no need to switch the heating on as yet. A sunny day was forecast so I opened up the patio door to redistribute some of the conservatory's heat in the morning, my thinking being that some of the toastiness might be retained by the time I get home. If there's a silver lining it means that I don't hang around in the mornings any more!
The conservatory has been life-changing for me! Every drop of sunshine is a blessingValue-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

After gardening earlier, I decided Ineeded a brief rest on the bed. Our bedroom faces west so I lay there in glorious warm sunshine this afternoon and for a while it felt like sunbathing in the Mediterranean but without the hassle of an airport or plane journey! But these interludes are brief at this time of year and I,m now sitting with my quilted body warmer on and all the curtains closed to trap in whatever warmth the sun generated. May be lucky to manage without switching the heating for rest of evening If I get up and move around a bit!
There are lots of You Tube "walking at home" videos to walk to and keep the circulation going!0 -

I came in at around dusk this evening, and the house felt cold, and I realised there's no going back now: the temperate climate we've had over the past 5 months or so is done with for this year. So I made up a HWB whilst contemplating the profound qquestion: can I hold off switching on the heating for another 4 weeks until we fall backwards? We shall see...Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!
