    Hi

All dead and gone now I think.

If you still need a new dishwasher then plenty on MSE will say its got to be German from Miele, Siemens, Neff or Bosch.

agree, we are looking for a new d/w after the one in our house has started to smell of burning.....not using now unless we are in the house downstairs

we got the d/w with the house its an indesit and the biggest piece of rubbish ever made...had an intergrated neff in our old house that we put in which was superb

however, when our zanussi w/machine packed up after 7 years (used better parts then, new zanussis prob wont last this long!) we replaced it for a near top range miele (paid about £900 (rrp £1300)) - wow what a machine! quality and near silence shines through (we can whisper to each next to it when its on full spin, cant do that with my mums bosch)

well either get a miele, siemens, bosch of neff

  • my Bosch Aquatech packed up after nearly 12 years so now looking for a new machine. I think the pump/motor has gone.
Should I go for Bosch again ?? any recommendation please.

bosch are fine but i dont like the look of their machines...bit ugly.....thought the siemens looked good as not about same price

I'd like to put in another vote of support for Beko. We bought ours from Currys for under £200 it's A rated for efficiency and we've never needed to use anything other than the 30min quick wash. Bosch and Mielle may be better built but they often cost twice as much. Contrary to what has been said here Beko spares are also easily available from several online sites and the manufacturers website carries a comprehensive set of parts for all their models.

what do mean miele may be better built, they are MUCH better built

  • Domestic appliances get poorer in quality every year, so all recommendations are out of date.

Our first dishwasher was the cheapest Indesit, and lasted 19 years.
The second, another Indesit, lasted 7 years.
The current Matsui has packed up after 3 years.

So now I am undecided between buying the cheapest and throwing it out after a year, or a Miele in the hope it really does last 20.

totally agree, its a throw away society....companies should be fined for making shoddy goods that last less than 5 years, but then its the customers/us who are to blame...i used to buy the chespest but lo longer...we paid £900 for our washing machine miele which hopefully will last - currently 3 years old

Yep, agree! I've had problems with both my Bosch washer/dryer and dishwasher in only just about 3-4 years, nothing seems to last and I thought I'd have less problems with Bosch.. I am sick of everything breaking!

Why not start your own thread?:)

I believe Siemens and Bosch are made in the same factories. Siemens tends to have high higher spec add-ons i.e. the basic machines are built with the same components.

I have recently purchased a Bosch as it was the most water efficient model I found (I have a water meter so this was a consideration) - there is currently an offer for energy back, you apply for it separately after purchase but get £68 cash back on the model I bought.

It also came with 2 years additional (on top of standard 2 years) warranty, again by application after puchase.
  • bish bash bosch!!

(sorry if that has been said and done already :) )

bosch or miele. Miele is more expensive, but if i had the money i would def invest.

Or just go Hotpoint/Beko/Smasung and accept you change it more often because it is a quarter of the price?

Whatever make sure it is A A+ rated and check the consumptions on water and power.

If you are looking at washers ask whether you really need a a 7/8/9Kg load as it will use more water/power all the time even on reduced cycles.

We had a whirpool with the kitchen pack - absolutely useless, gave up on it after just over a year and constant repairs. Got an AEG which has been great.
