  • A few nice places where we like to visit when in Nottingham city centre

    Pizzeria Savai http://www.pizzeriasavai.co.uk/

This is just off London Road and is a great place to eat if you are visiting the National Ice Arena.
They do lovely Italian food - Pizza, Pasta and Steaks.

I can highly reccomend the Pesto bread - mmmmm

    Also another great place is:

    Red Hot Buffet Shacks http://www.redhotbuffetshacks.co.uk/

This is based at the bottom of Hockley on Goosegate. It is an all you can eat buffet serving Indian, Chinese, Italian and Thai food.

If you fancy something a little more home cooked you could try

The White Horse at Woolley Moor - Badger Lane, Woolley Moor, Nr. Alfreton, Derbyshire DE55 6FG

Great food in a nice atmosphere, something a little more special than the above two.
It's nice to be nutty but's more important to be nice

what kind of thing are you wanting in York? I'll try and recommend some then

There's lots of offers on in a few places during the day and if you've got a student card even better.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/northyorkshire and the greedy pig bit on there ahs some ok reviews as has itchy york

Oscars is apparently quite nice and recommended by a lot of people and it's next on my list of places to eat. If there's a group going though I would suggest booking.

  • Cheltenham has That Mexican Place on winchcombe street. Reasonably priced, generous sized portions. If you have a starter you can rarely manage a pud! Their cocktails are (or were) impressively boozey if you go for a jug.
Gloucester has Siam Thai on Park Road, which does an all you can eat buffet on a wednesday night.
and there is a place by the bus station called aroma, that does all you can eat chinese buffet. I haven't been, but i hear good things about it.

Burger/Steak/Natchos ..somewhere like TGI Fridays or Hardrock. Also Italian or decent British Pub grub/Bar supper.

Sorry folks back to London again , specifically East Finchley N2.
The best ever restaurant in the world is the Meze Bar in High Rd East Finchley . Serves Greek/Turkish/European and is very very good, value for money and delicious food. Further down the road is the Italian La Pensiro which is very good. Both serve lunch and are suitable for all occasions .
