If anyone is interested then Sopranos in Portsmouth Sothsea is really nice we went there for my sisters graduation meal and it was resonably priced the most expensive thing on the menu was the Steak at about £13.00. I had a chicken crispy noodle dish with pine nuts that was about £6.00.
Hope this helps someone.

I have to recommend Chez Lahlou on Commonside in Walkley / Crookesmoor in Sheffield.
It's small and booking is advised, but it's fantastic - you get complimentary chicken wings as starters, the portions are huge - don't eat all day before you go ...
... from memory the dishes were around £8-15 depending what you had (steak being the most expensive, obviously), a fairly decent wine list.
A v intimate atmosphere (it can get very cramped!), the main offerings are French-based (hence the name), but I don't recollect our fussy eaters having any problems with the menu either.0 -
Theres a reasonably price restaurant on Lowestoft seafront called 'ALANS'. They do good old fashioned English food such as stew and dumplings, steak and kidney pie and fish and chips and it usually comes to about £8 per head with a pudding too.2008 Comping ChallengeWon so far - £3010 Needed - £230Debt free since Oct 20040

Possibly already mentioned but Nawaab in Levenshulme, Manchester. Great reviews and I've been several times myself. £10 all you can eat. Drinks are a little expensive but the food both quality and quantity is superb.0

Buddies in Northampton, on the road round the back of the guildhall is an american style place with loads of 'American things' it's good for a group of friends to go out for a meal not formal. It's not badly priced and you get huge portions, I highly recomend their homemade coleslaw. There's 6 other similar ones owned by the same bloke in Northampton can't remember the names though!Tel: 01604 620300[FONT=georgia, bookman old style, palatino linotype, book antiqua, palatino, trebuchet ms, helvetica, garamond, sans-serif, arial, verdana, avante garde, century gothic, comic sans ms, times, times new roman, serif]A bank is a place that will lend you money if you can prove that you don't need it

Sheringham, The Crown. It's right on the coast, and during the week all day long, they do buy one meal (all around the £8ish mark), get one for £1. The beer's good too.
If you fancy something a little more upmarket, try the Hare and Hounds, in my village, Baconsthorpe, near Holt. It's not dead cheap, but my son is teh apprentice chef, and having tried his pear tart tatin (I could've fainted with delight), I cannot recommend highly enough. Well done that boy.I ave a dodgy H, so sometimes I will sound dead common, on occasion dead stupid and rarely, pig ignorant. Sometimes I may be these things, but I will always blame it on my dodgy H.
Sorry, I'm a bit of a grumble weed today, no offence intended ... well it might be, but I'll be sorry.0 -

A couple for Pershore near Worcester, Belle House is pretty good but not cheap, but just wander two more minutes down the road the The Brandy Cask, real ales (made in his own micro brewery), beautiful garden that runs right down to the river and honest cheap hot pub food, nothing fancy just great grub!
He does have a reduced menu on a Sunday as he caters for a lot of Sunday roasts, but try his burgers (esp the Brandy Cask Burger).
Great guys that run it too, Spencer and Marianne
Try it you'll love it!Tips are good, tips are good, you know that tips are good!0
