Fair do my mistake re tv licence.
My pet hates are:
Lady products vat is outrageous!
Petrol prices esp as I’m in west coast Scotland we get charged a fortune compared to Glasgow just up road.
Car tax – why are motorists taxed for the benefit of non motorists. Apparently its not been ringfenced for roads sinced 1967!! So what exactly ARE we paying it for? Esp as we’re taxed by usage via double fuel tax.
Lightbulbs can be extortionate, the worst cons on this score is ikea as all their light fittings u can only get bulbs from them.
0800 numbers which are NOT free from mobiles, I don’t have a landline as just me and dd and I don’t see why I should pay for 2 phones. I use saynoto0870 but there’s not always an alternative.
Passport for me and dd, not just for travel but I need i.d. for all sorts of things these days even applying for a job.
Misleading flight prices, in fact any transport prices.
Local councillors wages – they never DO anything.
Cinema Food n Drink prices, esp as I’m paying for a much larger portion than my dd and I can even get thru together!!
Hols - As a single mum with one child I’d have to pay more than for 2 adults with underoccupancy charges and free child places don’t apply. Also unwarranted jump in prices over school hols, this should be made illegal, it doesn’t happen on mainland Europe and the travel agents here aren’t charged more by the hotels or airlines at this time.0 -
I resent how much I have to pay for 570 kb/s broadband (because of where I live) - my son pays the same for 5MB/s in his area.
I hate paying 6p per litre more for fuel at a local filling station than it costs 25 miles away for the same brand.
The price of soft drinks or a bottle of water in pubs.0 -
To use toilets in London stations
VAT on tampons
Bottles of water when gigs/airports bin (not even recycle) my perfectly good one upon entry.
Food at gigs/airports - tasteless and overpriced, try to make sure I eat enough in advance.
Bank charges - refuse to let banks have any more of my hard earned money, pay off credit cards in full and borrow from savings 'til next pay day if I must.
Buses in areas outside of London - knowing it is just over a pound in London and the driver has asked me for a fiver to travel a few miles.0 -

Car maintenance by far, paying an outrageous hourly charge for a mechanic to scratch his bum and tut and then not get it ready for the time you need it by. Then suddenly a part will be needed that can't be located until next week, so you have to spend more time and money getting it back to the garage again.Old-Style Enthusiast :j0
