Can you imagine a market where a trader, who pitches up, week after week, selling virtually every item the other stall holders have? for a penny cheaper no matter how low they went? sending spies to walk round regularly to note everyone's prices, then, if one has dared to even match their price, going another penny cheaper?
Luckily for mr. z0verstocks and his hench men, the online market traders can't get physically get hold of his feathered throat!

but this is business you have to adapt, if there software is illegal then I will happily support any action against them but dont see how it could be proved or even be illegal
They are the same as any phone recycling company, gold company etc just because you dont know where they sell does not mean they dont sell on online platforms.Gotta buy a ticket to win the raffle0 -
I have never said their software is illegal, the point is that as a trader it is important to show respect for your competitors. this company has enraged a lot of other sellers with their pricing tactics. to continue with my analogy of the market, either the other traders would gang up to throw them off the market, or the organisers would.squaaaaaaaaacccckkkkkk!!!! :money:0

Thanks for the clarification, I feel reassured.0

Right zoverstocks why cant we sort a solution as you know full well you have wound up probably the whole selling platform of amazon and play..........
why dont you keep your programme and MATCH the lowest rather than be 1p cheaper all the time, this way you will be more competitive and not look like that you are a desperate company.....if you have the confidence in your company then you will sell just as many without annoying anyone....think about this properly as you wont have people lowering prices to get to you as you would blend in with other sellers...youve made yourself known and your being branded a bad egg etc and people will beat you
seriously think about a price match programme on a trail period and see what happens then its problem solved..
can I just say, please dont call james fraudster etc as you cannot single out anyone....if anything call me as Im the one that is prepared to take you on big time..much appreciated0 -
zoverstocks wrote: »Hello all,
Let me clear a few things up.
1) All of our feedback is absolutely 100% genuine. We have just hit 1,000,000 on Amazon UK with a 97% positive rating. We only sell as zOverstocks (or zOverstocksUSA on Amazon US etc.)
2) Amazon and play.com are perfectly happy with us and our pricing structure. It is not in breach of either the law or playtrade/marketplace rules.
3) The people on here bad mouthing us are fraudulent scammers that have been caught in the act by us.
'ThickJames' is one such scammer. I won't go into details of how he did it, but he fraudulently and illegally (by obtaining goods by deception) dropped our prices and proceeded to buy said items at a falsely low price. We have cleared this act with Amazon, Play.com and our lawyers, and all 3 agree that it is illegal.
He (ThickJames) claimed I sent his email address to other customers. This is true, but what he neglected to mention is the other customers I mailed out to are all living at the same postal address as himself, and they also ordered (price manipulated items, might I add) from us at the exact same time and date, to the minute, and from the same site (play). I have the records to prove this.
If you get caught scamming us, don't shout about it on a forum, it's a rather silly thing to do, and it's going to get noticed.
If you have been unfortunate to receive a defective item from us or have had any other problems, please feel free to contact our customer services who will be happy to help you.
Regards
James

I agree with everything you say apart from the fraud bit,
its not fraud as you lower the price, its your choice to run this software and do this, if you have been caught out by scammers then unlucky but improve your own software with minimum pricing.
can you answer the question about discounted fees? as I have been assured you dont get any...Gotta buy a ticket to win the raffle0 -
just read the comment about selling stock to staff,
last time I checked on play you had 100000 score, as you only get one per customer, you employ a whole town hahaha.
As I am sure you are aware all sellers got from play regarding the 7 day policy we must all carry the stock that we sell!!!
thats a play policy.Gotta buy a ticket to win the raffle0 -
I stumbled across this debate andt as an amazon trader I have to say this is a topic that really interests me.
First of all the ethics of this company are just plain wrong and your attitude towards geniune honest traders is appauling.
Here are a few simple questions I would like you to answer James and they have nothing to do with fraud or manipulation just geniune straightforward questions that all geniune marketplace sellers would like you to answer
1.) If you don't really want to sell a product at a certain price why let it go down that low?
2.) Why must you insist in undercutting even charities? Surely even you can see what's wrong with this?
3.) Why is an item is listed on Play, Amazon, Amazon US and amazon.de all at the same time when you clearly only have one copy of some items?
4.) Why did you report me and others for using the same software as yourself?
Most people (the odd few aside) on this forum would welcome an honest answer to these questions even if just to offer some reason for what you appear to be doing which is slowly destorying a once thriving open exchange platform.
I couldn't give a monkeys about what other people are doing to you but do care about what your company is doing to me and hundreds of others all over the UK which is slowly destorying us.
So please have the common decency to come back on here and give us all at least an explaination or offer a solution and then maybe just maybe we can all learn to get along with one another.
Stop behaving like a spolit little child saying he did this and he did that and you are doing this and it's illegal and this persons commiting fraud, it's getting ridiculous as you are doing exactly the same bloody thing as they are can you not see that?
THEY ARE NOT HARD QUESTIONS ANSWER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!0 -
here, here emarald....well said and Im with you on this...
zoverstocks please come up with a solution as ot cannot stay like this0
