When I log-in and click on email accounts,it says I haven`t got any, looks like the old speed-mail one is obsolete.
It does however give you the option of creating a new account @v21 etc.

All that does is come up with "Invalid Log-In". Unable to connect for over 2 weeks now, yet they're still taking payments!
  • I logged into my account and guess what, my usage comes to nil, absolutely nothing, I'm connected, with one hour cut offs, have been for a couple of weeks. :D

    I can't log in either.

I'm not in the least surprised.

This is getting to be a fiasco :rotfl:

Well I have managed to log into my account, and I have also managed to send them a new enquiry, ie why have you not answered my phone calls and why have you disconnected my e mails. Gave them all the information I could as it was when I signed up for the broadband from fast 4 dial up ie .....@v21.co.uk

the log in has accepted my usual password etc, but when I looked at mail, it said no account. How strange they have wiped me off the e mails.

So I wait with baited breath to see if they reply, my old enquiries to Paul and Stu have disappeared.

Is there light at the end of the tunnel folks, will keep you posted!!

Cheers and it is so helpful being able to read how everyone is going on, keep it up. oap

I still can’t get connected using any of the 0808 numbers.

Checked the ‘how to set up an internet connection guidance’ and see they have now changed from 0808 663 3025 to 0808 993 3025.

Still not allowed to log into members page.

I’m confused about the email addresses some of you guys are talking about. As a dialup customer I received an email on 6/10/06 saying I was being transferred to a new supplier and it included this:

“Your email address ending in @speed-mail.co.uk will continue to work for
some time but it will be removed within the next four weeks. You can
however now sign up for a new email address ending in @fast4.net. To do
this please log in to your members area using the URL above where you wil
find an option to create a new email account. As the @fast4.net email
address are brand new to Fast4 we would recommend that you hurry to create
your preferred address as the best addresses are bound to be the first to
    go!”

So there shouldn’t have been any transfers of email addresses: only new ones. Did other people not receive such information when the transfer happened?

I did create a new address ending in @fast4.net – must have been about the only time access to the members page could be obtained before all service ceased (though apparently not for everyone).

Have always used the 0808 9933025 without hassle except for the 1 hour disconnection.

Can't log into the V21 customer portal either.

Once you can log in, exprog, I'd set up those email accounts again as the others have obviously done a runner!

Just found out that the smpt.speed-mail.co.uk is working again for those who use it for sending their emails.

First things first if like me you are using a 0845 number connect through 18185.co.uk(you have to join ,its free) then evening and weekends are 4p connection then 0.5p/min.
Went to Building society a.m. discovered that what I thought was Direct Debit to Fast4 is being taken as Switch transaction -only action is to close account.
Three payments out in 5 days 19th,20th and 24th Oct.
Chris 4817 -a poser for you ,because I signed up to F4 before 6th Oct I am a v.21/biscit customer, however I have an e-mail 14th Oct saying a payment will be taken 17th or soon after. At the top of the e-mail it says
    FROM<unattended@fast4.net
at the bottom it says fast4 Internet customer support with the fast4 number.
I called this number and asked why fast4 were taking my money when I was no longer a customer.Mark (from before) was evasive and said he could not comment fully due to the behind the scene wrangling going on!
Is this fraud or obtaining money by deception or some such thing?
    Called 0870 442 9600 unobtainable all day.
Numerous calls to 0870 383 0030 could only get reply from option 1, promises of will get accounts to call back ASAP -still waiting .Also promises of getting technical services to investigate why no connection since 18thOct-still waiting.
Bye for now ,off to try 0808 9933172.
    Move along, nothing to see.

If you joined Fast4 (V21) before the 7th of October then you are a V21 (Biscit) customer and should ignore emails from the new Fast4. If you joined after that date then unfortunately you are now with the new Fast4, well that's what Fast4 claims on their homepage.

Here is a Biscit press release about it http://www.ispreview.co.uk/cgi-bin/news/viewnews.cgi?id=EEyEEypZpZkFWEUpxN

Other updates today include the restoration of services to some 800 customers who parties external to V21 migrated to an ISP called Fast4 at around the time that Biscit completed the acquisition of V21. All have since been returned to V21's networks. Customers who changed their email and Internet settings as a result of a mailing from Fast4 need only reset their original V21 settings to regain service.

    PS

The ONLY information ever received regarding this changeover has been through this thread and certainly NOT from Fast4/V21/Biscit! :naughty:

The last e mail I got was on 26 October, nothing since, and nobody emailed me to say what was happening re them changing our password. All they had to do was give us a new email address and how to set it up, this is very bad business and it was not thought through obviously. I did get an e mail saying Biscit was merging with V21 quite a long one, some time ago, but absolutely nothing to say they were going to change our passwords in e mails etc., I think somewhere very early on in this huge thread somebody printed the large merger e mail off. So some of us got that. But that was all. Nothing since.

I had not realised until this evening having been into Google again looking at various links about Biscit that it was such a small company and very highly thought of, well they have got themselves in a real mess now.

    Regards oap
