Log-in to the members area and click on your account and there should be a link to change your payment method.
Obviously you`ll need to tell them your bank, sort code and account number, for them to take the payment.

Don`t worry, DD is perfectly safe and is guaranteed by all the banks.

If you keep paying by credit card, there`s no way to stop the payments even if they ignor your request to cancel your account.

Well x 4! All seems to be accelerating in just a day's absence from here.....Fast4 - V21 - Biscit; what a carve up!!!???

As a 14 Sept 06 F4 sign up I have had no mention of V21 in Member answers apart from link to some tech advice. Emails about 'switch' mentioned unamed "provider" as now being recipient of my account but the Members link is

    https://secure.njpservices.com/members/default.asp?a_code=fast4

so NJP are the payess, presumably, as mentioned up the thread.

I was told to use new ....234 freefone number and connection has been ok apart from perennial problem of being connected and no pages loading (last experienced circa 1330 today. Logged off and back on 45 mins later and here I am).

My one hour cut off " was a problem with the session timeout " according to F4 techie and been back to whizzo TWO HOUR access since (fine by me).

RE Geoffo sympathising with my 31.2kbps connection rate. Was like this for years of Tiscali and last two days has dropped to 28.8 then risen to 44 intermintently. Am used to it but would like to boost it to keep up with the Geoffosies......

    How to do this?

Have no other stuff connected to phoneline but need an extension lead as telepoint other side of room from PC. Modem is "Intel [R] 536E P" according to Control Panel but not sure what that means. Am PC tech novice really.

Hope this Biscit "court case" isn't alarming them with that branch of the F4 sell-off. Good luck to all!

PS Was that THE Mr Sayer??? Or am I late to this running joke....

It was indeed THE Mr Sayer, who hardly posts these days because of touring.

I usually connect at 48.0 kbps
The only thing I can suggest is you contact BT and ask them to increase the "gain" on your line.
  • Hi all,

I can confirm that I am indeed the one and only Mr Leo Sayer, well, the one and only who uses this user name :)

Alared and I are well aware of the pitfalls of using F4...... BUT.... its cheap and these days usually quite reliable.

Some of you who are having problems now, should have been with us 2 years ago when we were all pulling our hair out trying to connect to the internet.

Even with the problems that we are currently having, things are a breeze.

Just to update, I am not currently experiencing any connection problems. But that could soon change.....

    Cheers

    Leo

Hi, thanks for the reply re credit card and direct debit, I will have a look on the V21 account on their website, now as they have just taken £9.98 for my first month b b , although not on it yet, by credit card, and refunded me I hope the £4.99 I had just paid for dial up by credit card, is it safe to give them my bank details, can I rely on them to cancel my credit card payments, have you had any experience of this, I am worried they will take from both, or am I getting paranoid about all this, thanks for all the help, which is very much appreciated, best wishes oap

I used to pay by credit card but changed to DD a long time ago without any problems.
You will be safer with DD because your bank guarantees to refund if there is a problem.

As regards Fast4, I have ALWAYS had a reply from them via the secure members area and ALWAYS to my satisfaction, therefore despite what`s been happening I can`t fault their customer service.
A relative of mine is with V21 for BB and again any queries they have brought up,V21 have always sorted it out.
Wether this Biscit gang will continue good customer relations is anyone`s guess, but I have my doubts.

If you read through the previous posts you will find BOTH dail-up numbers for F4/V21/biscit or whoever they want to call themselves.

fama - if you've been with fast4/v21 for a while, you're probably still on the old number (08089933025), but if you're new you might need the new number which is 0808 99 16234. Try logging on to members area in new v21/biscit; if you're succesful there, you are on the old number still.

    Best of luck - Geoff

Just had a look at the Primus website. I can't find any pricing structure mentioned anywhere, and they ask you to phone up. I find this very suspicious.

I can only repeat that I am very satisfied with the service from PRIMUS. I have asked them why they are not advertising the Broadband service on their website and they say that they are treading softly, first with existing customers and then recommended customers, as they do not want to be overwhelmed like Talk Talk. I believe this to be a sensible approach and as they are the 6th largest Telecoms company in the world, I have no worries at the moment.
