    Morning all
Lovely day here, and I slept like a log. We put a new woollen mattress liner on the bed last night, and it was really snuggly and nice. Great value too (check out Lidl).

Lots to do today, and in all honesty I shouldn't be here, but should already be conducting my first interview of the day! But BM has done it's job, soup is still left for lunch (too much of a good thing  ) and there is still Pork left from sunday - so that's dinner sorted.

Have a great day all, and I'll catch-up with all your news later.
  • Morning everyone. Am finally having a quiet day at home so am catching up with you guys first - and will keep checking all day to hear news about Michelle!
DD at school for morning, DS busily occupied with toys for 10 mins, DW emptied, WM on.
Need to wash kitchen and hall floors today.
Dinner tonight is roasted veg lasagne, hm bread and salad, so will put veggies in to roast in a while.
Will take kids swimming after lunch - they love it.
Hope that you all have a good day.

 Quite! ;):D Hope your dd's chin isn't too sore today ((hugs))

gingin :T Great idea and very do-able! :T I have a pink cot sheet from when my dd was a baby (crikey, that's quarter a Century ago!!!) that would make great bandana's @ no cost :D :j

thriftlady - sorry but that last sentence in your post made me :rotfl: Hope you find a solution for your nit problem :(

Chipps!! How funny! I was only thinking of you last night. Welcome home :D I know what you mean about M25 driving being very tiring; I try and avoid using it or if I have to, restricting it to a max of 3 times a year.

Right, I really must go and get on with the bolinho de chuva's for d11yo. He's not convinced that a wok can be used as a deep fat fryer so as well as helping him out for tonight, I have a point to prove ;) (Haven't owned a deep fat fryer for years!!) And thanks to gingin's idea, not trip to the shops, but a quick zap with the sewing machine and tomorrow's dilema is sorted :T

Catch up with you all later :D

    I've been Money Tipped!
    Morning!

Didn't sleep too well last night, tooth abcess causing pain, so read a few of the threads including the farepak one, shocking what has happened to folks especially at this time of year ((((((Hugs)))) to all those affected by this.

Todays job list includes rinsing salt off onions and getting them into jars with vinegar and spices. Making more bread, swishing and swiping bathroom, cloakroom, kitchen and conservatory.

Will then try to catch up with some sleep.

Hopefully will hear some nice news later regarding Michelle.

    :hello:everyone :hello:

I have been such a busy bunny this morning already!!!

Had a decent nights sleep but woke early, so decided to get up, breadmaker and yogurt maker on overnight, so both finished. Bread cooling yoggi in the fridge thickening up for lunch.

Cleaned the kitchen, moved all the stuff of the work surfaces and did them over with stardrops.

Swept and wiped the hall floor, sitting room floor and once OH was out of bed, hoovered the rug in the sitting room and the stairs.

OH having brekkie, cleaned the bathroom dusted bedroom, and hoovered the carpets.

Going to have a coffee now before I do a bake, scones, made with whey from the yogurt, carrot cake for the grand children and a lemon drizzle cake for us. Lunch..... bread and cheese......

Chicken from the weekend for supper, fricassee with rice, for a change I think.

This afternoon.... unpick a pair of curtains, want to line them with bump and put thermal linings in, they are to replace the ancient ones that are in our bedroom...... then I think I will relax PHEWWWWWWWWWWWW made myself tired reading this.

Was hoping for baby news this morning, but no news is good news I suppose, Daddy may be too exhausted to email PP.............?????????????;) ;)

    Off for that coffee..................:rotfl: :rotfl:

    Hi all, morning

Up 5.30 today, bad day yestrday as kids were driving me up the wall, mainly ds2, ds1 couldnt find his gameboy abd ds2 put it somewhere but said he couldnt remember!!

Was searching all over house, even mum looked, nowhere to be found! i knew ds2 did know where he put it! so at lunchtime said he was not getting anything to eat til he found his gameboy, guess what it suddenly turned up! i could have throttled him:mad:

Made him apologise to mum as well.

Anyway, trying to remain calm today so for tea i am going to try making pizza dough in bm, first time, hope it turns out well.

Hope Michelle has her baby today, ooooh so exciting:j

    Hugs

Still no news from Cha97Michelle .... hope she's doing AOK.

Mind you, why I say "no news" and sound surprised, I have no idea ...

Late to bed last night as had AGM for Playgroup, then came home to do some more cleaning ... DH's work colleague arrived at 09:45 this morning  .

House still not straight, think I shall close living room door and put sticky tape across it with "Caution - Hazardous Area" on it ;)

Have amalgamated 2 offices in to one, it's feeling "cosy" in here with 2 desks!

Just had a most delicious "yellow" jam tart, bought from the local organic bakers.

Market day here, so have done the veg run :)

DD at nursery until 15:00, so I'd best get cracking ... aims for the day:
    • Process all receipts
    • Transfer appropriate money to varying a/c's
    • Empty living room completely
    • Mop living room floor and dust
    • Re-assemble books on bookshelf in snug (currently in piles on floor)
    • Clear up the remains of family office to look "presentable"
    • Put dinner on, something low and slow, as don't know when DH and colleague will be back for dinner (20:00 - 22:00 best current estimate!)
    • Cut out material for this first quilt block
That'll do ;) If I do that lot .... I'll be shocked / amazed / dead with exhaustion (Delete as appropriate!)

    B - Bacon buttie
    L - Prob skip
D - low 'n' slow summat or another ;) with treacle tart and custard for pud.

Happy Wednesday everyone. Hope you are all ok. Fingers crossed for Michelle and the little OS baby!

am at work, drinking tea through a straw (have ulcer on lip so can't put mug to mouth!) and attempting to fill in my apprasial form.

Just had a very grim experience. The fridge in the coffee room at work was stinky, so me and BF decided to clear it out. The cause of the stench was found to be raw, mouldy, rancid chicken legs -bleugh! BFcouldn't lift them (has a muscle disease) so I had to take them outside to the bin. I can feel my veggie-ness growing even stronger. Need a lie down now..

  • I'm excited about Michelle's baby too :j just think of all the things she's got to look forward to; dirty nappies, sick all over her clothes, sleepless nights, and when the wee one gets older; potty training:eek: ,bedwetting, worms, and nits:mad: Not to mention tantrums, whinging, arguing, nagging etc etc

Oh the joys of motherhood:rotfl: Sorry Michelle I don't mean it:D the good bits far outweigh the bad bits :j , it's just that my dd has nits (well I'm pretty sure they've gone now) and I'm feeling a bit stressed out and behind with my plans for the day.

I'm behind with my planned chili for the slow cooker, so it will have to go on medium instead of low. I was going to get some bread started and make some more pasties for lunchboxes. I've also got a pile of laundry and some ironing and the boy's beds to do (well part-do, they do most of it).
And I've got a pm to reply to.. I'm getting round to it Churchmouse, honest:)
