morning all!
PP, have fun at the parent teacher relay race, lol!!!!! :rotfl:
Pay Day today!Am off xmas shopping. Ordered some yesterday. Realised the kids will end up with about £200 a piece spent on them again this year. I do the shopping spread out so its not sooo bad I guess
My new constant in use phraze to the kids is "LEAVE THE KITTEN ALONE" Mind you, the kitten is totally bonkers. She has ripped most of the Argos book to shreds! She is approx 2 months old, anyone know when I am supposed to take her to the vets & what for? I mean I know she needs vaccinations & to be "done" but I don't know when iyswim!
I have done no housework as of yet & if I am honest with you all nothing will get done at all till this afternoon when I get back from town. Although am tempted to go to Lakeside
When I get around to it, the house needs gutting. The MiL is coming up on the w/e. She does my head in, but he-ho, live & let live. Well thats my motto to her, not hers to me tbh
Hope Michelle is enjoying warm snuggles with her new baby by now
love to you all

Morning all :hello:
Sat here trying to decide if I can make it into w**k today. Had a really bad night and feel full up with cold this morning
Think I need to retire back under the covers and try and get my throat to feel less like a piece of sandpaper.
Yesterday went well up till about 2pm when I started to feel like I do today.
Not much OS planned as I feel like I do, but must get the rubbish out and wash up. The mountain of ironing will have to wait.
Have fun and keep smiling

Morning all
well - I hope yesterday goes better than yesterday.
Just after we all got over the Fish Pie debacle. DD tripped coming up the stairs and split her chin open (DH was coming up behind her but wasn't fast enough to catch her). So we then spent 4 hours in Casualty. God they never hurry in those places.
While we were there the soup in the SC managed to burn. I refuse to eat burnt cabbage so it's cheese sandwiches for lunch. I keep thinking it's a waste - but then I am also thankful we're not so poor that we HAVE to eat it.
3 bean chilli for dinner tonight (from freezer)
Off to check the AA website - I heard something about there being a jumper on the Tyne bridge. Even if I can't get to work at least things are not that bad for us.

Morning all
Logged on to see if Michelle had the baby, very exciting it must be.
I slept well last night but DD and I both have colds and I ache all over. Will try and put dd down for a nap and have a soak in the bath later.
We too have parents evening, just the one teacher to see but it is not 'til late and we have to take the children with us as we have no one to babysit. The school run a creche for the children but dd is only 2 so I hope she will be o.k as she is not normally keen on being with strangers. A friend of mine at the school told me that a couple of kids have been picking on(and hitting) my son so need to bring that up, it's very difficult when they are six as it tends to get brushed off as children just being children and I am cross the teacher has not told me before as ds had to go and be cleaned up in the school office after one incident and a formal log was taken but noone thought to tell me  (ranting now). I am so looking forwards to half term next week.
Not feeling like much os today I'm afraid, need to pack up some ebay parcels and pull something out of the freezer for dinner as we will be home late and don't feel like cooking anyway.
I hope everyone has a good day and ((())) to those that need them.0 -

Still stumped on what to do about tomorrows non uniform day as far as the lads wearing something pink is concernedbut hoping I'll have a lighbulb moment at some point today. If push comes to shove, I'll make a pink ribbon to pin on their tops.

What about turning some pink fabric into a bandana, Queenie?
Ouch, poor dd Peem, I still have a scar on my chin from a similar incident when I was little but you can hardly see it now.0 -
Morning everyone,
Haven't had time to read much this morning because I''ve spent the last hour combing and treating dd's hair as she has nits:mad: So she's staying at home today, much to her delight. I've searched the boys' hair (with a fine toothed comb;) ) and mine but can't find anything, but then I checked dd's hair yesterday and couldn't find anything. I've used a natural treatment, but when I rinsed it out there were still live lice, so I feel like buying a super strong chemical treatment and nuking the b*****s.
Just going to email OH with the news, he's really going to regret cuddling her this morning:rolleyes:0 -
Good morning everyone!
I've not been around for absolutely ages, so it's very exciting to see that Michele is just about to have her baby! Hope all goes well for her.
I have had a really busy last few days, which included picking my DD & her 2 babies up from Portsmouth on Saturday & then taking them back on Monday, then of course the whole family wanted to come visit them here, so it has been very hectic... but nice of course. After Monday's driving I did very little yesterday, I find driving (especially on the M25) very tiring.
So back to business today. DS has lots of work to do for his IGCSEs, as we have finally got the books & stuff, then yesterday he did his Saturday job (yes, I know it was Tuesday, but he couldn't do it Saturday) so he's got extra catching up to do cos I have set a timetable for getting his assignments completed and sent to the private school who are providing the materials.
So now I am off to make sure he is actually getting up....
Have a good day!0 -
Morning all
2 little ones here all day today, we're going to escape to an indoor play area as it's tipping down with rain and I'm limited on space with the builders. Going to meet another 5 childminders from the area there, it's nice to have a catch up with who's doing what and see if any of them have any work to pass on to me.
Car finally passed it's mot yesterday (£135 later) but the clutch needs replacing and it's a specialist job - first quote we got was £450....don't even think the car's worth that much but it's a good runner and we can't afford a new one so we'll just have to spend it.....if it lasts us another year then it's worth it.
OS wise today - going to have a cook up tonight, my shopping arrived from tesco last night - 3 weeks for £50.22 after vouchers, need to get organised and get the meat all portioned up and into the freezer and get the last of my old veg from the fridge made into a soup.
Brekkie - HM toasted rolls
Lunch - Pepperoni filled rolls/fruit
Dinner- Chicken and cauli pasta cheesy bake.
Hope you all have a great day."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -

Morning everyone!
Just listening to Martin Lewis on Lorraine Kelly's show. He's talking about switching your gas and electric companies. Think its about time I did something about mine.
Both my Pugs are trying to sit on my lap together and they are too big! I need a bigger lap!!! Not up to much today, having some more carrot and ginger soup for lunch which I made yesterday. Its really tasty and good for you too! Dinner is HM chicken curry. Trying to decide which recipe to follow to make it though.
Hope to hear about Michelle and her LO soon. Hope it all goes smoothly.
Thriftlady - use a nit comb too as this kills the lice.0
