  • Afternoon all :j

Hope everyone is having a good day. Fingers x'd for Michelle :D and Happy Birthday AgeandJo :bdaycake:

If anyone on here has been affected by the Farepak fiasco, (((((hugs))))) I feel absolutely dreadful for everyone - but chin up and let's hope something gets sorted and soon.

I'm now on day 12 of non-smoking and have an appointment at the nurses after work to get some more patches. I've never been back after the first visit - because by this time I feel I don't really need the patches - but my nurse insists that's why I've failed before as in effect I'm going cold turkey - still £51.00 saved in 12 days is an incentive (albeit virtual this month  ). But next month I will be able to buy DD a nintendo ds lite for her birthday with my savings :T

Anyway, when I finish work, I'll be going straight to the nurses, then pick DD up from choir. Dinner tonight will be ................ HM pizza me thinks ;)

    Take care
Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )
Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)

    Afternoon all!

Happy birthday, Ageandjo and Good luck Michelle!

Bet you are relieved your tests are normal, Catowen!

Been busy this morning. After taking DD2 to college and a little shopping round town Ive come home, walked the dogs, made a gluten free loaf of bread (which I haven't tasted yet!), HM carrot and ginger soup for lunch (it was yum!:D), HM Chili Con Carne which is for tea and at the moment have some banana bread cooking in my BM.

Just wish it wasn't raining because I have washing to put out. It will just have to dry on the radiators later when I put the heating on.

DD1 has made some choc chip cookies (from a packet mix ) and has now disappeared back off to University. Peace and quiet here at the moment so Ive taken the chance to get caught up on here and have a cuppa!

    Catowen, great news :j :D

I am never planning anything ever again  My mum came round at about 1pm and she's only just left. Oh well, at least we had a good cake-eating session :D She didn't help with the housework though  :rotfl:

  • Hello Everyone

Just managed to grab a 5 min sit down and cup of coffee! Glad to hear the good news and hope all is going well with the birth.

Have finally cleaned all the sticky fingers off the patio doors - but sure they'll be back by tomorrow! (Kids - don't you just love them!) Am knee deep in wee as today is day 1 of the toilet training of DD2. Remind me - does it get any easier??! Still, back from the Eye clinic for DS and his squint is better. For the first time in 3 years we don't have to go back next month! (Hurrah)

Better go - time to sit on the loo again! (Her - not me!)

Catowen - glad the tests came back ok

Thanks for all the birthday congratulations yesterday - had a lovely meal down at the local pub. Been busy doing housework today and we had a power cut this morning so putting my washing on now and the tumble dryer will have to go on.

Off to Legoland on Thursday and Friday and got a friend coming to puppysit for us.

Hope everyones day is a good one

Hi thriftlady... I was interested in this... what is it like? We've just picked a load of quince apples and didn't know what to do with them...

Do you have a decent recipe?
