ageandjo!!! Well it got off to a good start with those great presents!
Hope all is going well for Michelle, and that baby could be here by now!!
Good luck with your test results catowen.
Good luck in new job MrP.
Started the day well, got up early and went to the gym. Came home, logged on here and read a page of posts, then came over VERY tired and nauseous and had to return to bed. I've only just woken up! Now I'm hours behind, and will be playing catchup all day!! I hate feeling I'm that behind, but must say I feel tons better now.
It's a bit late to put the washing out now, it'd hardly get any drying time, as my garden is NE facing. I shall have to have it decorating the house for a few hours at least, since I'm severely limiting TD use at the moment. But on a positive note I am really up to date with washing/ironing, so there's not too much.
Best get off, got to do some shopping, need to buy something quick and easy for dinner tonight.

DH just phoned, he was on a bike ride in some woods near us, turned a blind bend and found a toddler in the middle of the road!!!!!
DH had cars behind him and if he hadn't been in front the wee one would have been hit!!! The cars belt aroundthat corner as it's just a quiet country lane. Doesn't bear thinking about, does it?
Poor DH found the mother, they lived in the house on the corner and she was very grateful but poor DH couldn't concentrate any more and came home by the fastest route possible.
Thank goodness I peruaded him a bike ride would do him good.;)

Good afternoon everyone,
Good news for me, my tests all came back normal!!!!! My platelet levels are only 31 but i thought that was good for me!!!! Had the normal ' we really would like to remove your spleen, if you were in America they wouldve already have done it' blah blah blah.... But he did conceed that its not affecting my lifestyle at the moment (i can cope with all that i go through, bruising and bleeding isnt as bad as some problems people have on here) so they wont push it and i dont have to go back for another 3 months (unless i have any probs) HURRAH!!!! Did mention a drug they might think about trying, but i cant remember what it is, but will have a shifty around the internet in a mo to see if i can find out what it is, and what it does. I much prefer nothing tho!!!
Right, better get off and do something, thats the prob when you have been out all morning, loads to catch up on!!!
(((HUGS))) to everyone, although isnt it great there is so much good news around today.
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -

Happy birthday Ageandjo
How's that baby coming along Michelle?
Feel like an afternoon nap. Have done a 90 minute walk, made 18 little pasties for lunchboxes, a ginger cake, 2 doz apple muffins and 4 doz flapjacks, oh and roasted a small squash.I've had a couple of the pasties for lunch thereby breaking my 'don't eat pastry' rule
plus some lovely hm soup. Now I really do feel like nodding off, but I may retire to the sitting room and watch a bit of Tales From a Green Valley with a cuppa
until it's time to go and fetch ds2 and dd from school.

Afternoon all,
Just got back from Lit class, quite enjoyed it as we were discussing Homer's Odyssey with regard to today. Sound a bit heavy, but our tutor is a hoot. Just been relieved of the task of reading Moby !!!!!! thank goodness, Melville was a bit long-winded.I got up to 168 and he still hadn't set foot on board a boat:eek:
I have changed my course book to David Copperfield. Far more readable I think.:j
I am just going to have some home-made soup from the freezer and will put my feet up for awhile .I have to pick one of my grandsons up from footie practice late this afternoon so the rest of the day will be a relatively easy one.
Tomorrow I have to go to the local Podietry clinic as I may need a small op. on my toe, it's only an assesment though.Could be ages before they get the knife out:eek: Hope you all are having a good day, only 69 days until Christmas:eek: , I must start doing my cards soon, I started a craft class in September and am really enjoying it .((Hugs)) to those that need them and smiles to those that also need them
Take care everyone0 -

Hi everyone!
Blimey it's all happening here today isn't it!!! Ooh how exciting. Good luck Michelle [and no they can't drip feed you whisky via the epidural tube but hey might be worth an ask!!] and happy birthday Ageandjo.
Makes my little contribution seem rather dull today really...does having a new cat with two rotten teeth that need taking out and a £50 win on the premium bond thrill....no I thought not!!:D
Have to report that I'm very taken with the Pauper's Cookbook. I wouldn't do all the recipes but I've written some out that use favourite ingredients of mine but in new ways. Special request please...pretty please could I have the recipe for mint choc tray bake? Many thanks!!
On the OS front- all the ironing has been done and bathroom cleaned. The small person is being invested as a cub tonight..domestic trivia I know but still a proud Mummy moment.
Am hoping that my Mum has remembered to lend me some knitting needles as am dying to get started on the scarves [if a certain little tortoiseshell lady will let me!!] as the yarn is gorgeous.
Nothing else racy planned for today....enjoy your afternoons!

Just popped on to see if there was any news yet re Michelle?
:j Great news Catowen! Glad they are happy with you!
Have just bottled my sloe gin, looks a lovely colour but now have to hide it away for a few months. Also finally peeled those pickling onions (with a few tears) and they are now in salt and sitting in a covered and sealed bowl until tomorrow.
Bread is on in the bm, just had some soft scrambled eggs for lunch and need to sort out some dinner (needs to be soft again) as mouth is a bit swollen.
Off to take another tablet and have a sleep.
Catz xOur days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.
