Got up at six as I was sneezing and coughing so had drink of water and then a hot lemon drink which has helped a bit.
Still have some soup from yesterday so DH will polish that off later.
May make a home made pizza as I do not want to go shopping if I can help it.
DDs have just gone off to school having reminded my 12 year old three times not to forget her cookery ingredients! She left complaining bitterly of all she has to carry! She want to try lugging heavy bags of shopping sometime - lol.
Finally got probate finished for my Dad so that is something done.
DD comes home this weekend as it is her 21st birthday so looking forward to that and will probably go for a family meal with elderly relatives. She will already have been celebrating with friends at university."This site is addictive!"

Not much OSing going on here latelyI had a very lazy weekend (apart from saturday night when I went to the pub) and I was cardmaking all afternoon yesterday. Off to work this morning then meeting my mum at 1pm to spend my £25 Boots voucher (earned from PureProfile) and £80 of M&S vouchers (free from mr troo's work) :j I'll be buying some make-up, I went to use mine on saturday and it was all gone  Miss troo was sleeping at a friend's house and she took it all with her  So I'm buying more and it will be kept under lock and key LOL.
What else shall I buy? Decisions, decisions.............

Just going to get the kids dressed and head down to the lottie with my new azada:j for the morning
Loads to do today , need to a do a crisis clean and make 40 odd fairy cakes for dd school vd day party tomorrow. Also need to finish putting down the laminate flooring in the bathroom.
It is Grandad Seans Funeral today Dp has travelled up for it, but I didn't go as I didn't think it would be fair on the kids, I think it would of been all too much for dd 7yo. I will be lighting a candle for him and having a glass of guiness (YUK) but that was his favourite drink so I feel a good way to remember him, He was still drinking 4 cans a day a few weeks ago when we went up to visit, don't blame him though:rotfl:
Right better get the littluns sorted

DH is still having a sulk:rolleyes: says I'm selfish and that we have to do what I want all the time:rolleyes: He's just txt me so have told him he's childish for sulking;) I hate it when we fall out, life's too short to argue over trivial things but he just cant see it:mad:
Never mind by the time I get back tomorrow maybe he'll have got over his tantrum!:D
According to my scales I lost 2lb last week:jabout time, have put nearly a stone on in the last 6 months and its gotta go! am trying to stick to my GI diet.Am taking some HM lentil soup to work for lunch and lots of fruit.
Have a good day all and I'll be back tomorrow!;)

 Mr P on your new job - hope you took the right bag of sarnies!
Ohhhhhh it's all go on here today - it's made me smile!
DD gone to school in tears with a headache, feel very guilty now, she doesn't normally muck around but I think she'll be fine when she gets there.
DH suffering from a migrene, he's gone to work for a few hours - hopefully he'll feel better, he slept for 13 hours last night with it.
I was full of good intentions, cleaning the fridge, cleaning the parrot, washing the kitchen floor, making something for dinner, sorting the larder......but so far, I've made a cup of tea (which is going cold). I've got the monthly from hell and just feel washed out.
I shall however get on with some more crochet, I only need another 10 squares to finish DD1's bedspread that she wanted...all from donated wool so not cost me a penny. I might even be a devil and watch a dvd while I'm at it.
Hope you all have a great day - will be checking back for news on Michelle later.
Ohhh and Catowen - good luck with your specialist."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
Oh my goodness, a new baby to look forward to! Good luck, Michelle :j
Happy Birthday, ageandjo, hope you have a lovely day.
Good luck with the new job, Mr P, hope it all works out for you.
Morning all! Was woken up from a cold-filled sleep by the postman bringing me a parcel of goodies. Have put a chicken curry in the slow cooker for dinner and a pot of bottom-of-the-fridge veggies on to make a big cauldron of soup for lunches this week.
Got to get going with the hoover and duster in a mo. DD is coming home from uni for a few days at the weekend so I probably won't get much of a chance to do housework next week (shame!).
Lovely and sunny here today. Hope it lasts a few more days.
Can't stop thinking about Michelle's baby! Will check back here often.
Have a great day everyone
Breakfast: crumpets
Lunch: soup and HM roll
Dinner: chicken curry and rice

Good morning all!!!
Such exciting news Michelle, hope all is well, will have to have MSE on all day now just to check in!!!!
Happy Birthday Ageandjo, have a lovely day!!!
OS wise, not a lot this morning. Was so exhausted last night DH persuaded me to stay at home instead of doing weekly shop and drink red wine. Made lovely tomato and mozarella pasta too. Woke up during the night coughing and with horrible stomach pains, would have called in sick but have to do formal warning meeting this morning and is practically the only day boss is in so need to catch up with him too. Feel better this morning anyway, if a little tired.
Shopping tonight, so dinner is as yet unplanned, DH said he would cook shepherds pie so may take him up on that. House is at least clean and tidy although need to fold washing and hang out next lot. Have resorted to putting on the heating for half an hour every night just to get waistbands etc dried. Will need to sweep floors but as DH is biking today and insists on leaving bike in living room on his return I will do that later.
Am trying to get in to work earlier these days so have had to change morning routine a bit which I find really difficult, how many times do I have to do something before it becomes a habit?
Have a lovely day all.

When I got home last night OH had started to decorate the kitchen, so although I am pleased as it desperately needed doing. I was dying for a cuppa last night and everything from the kitchen was stored in the garage!! He's finishing it off today, so hopefully everything will be back to normal when I get home.
