  • Hi, this is the Daily Thread for wednesday 11th October. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!

When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints.

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.

Morning all! hope everyone is well!
Am off to work shortly so will catch upon all the threads later!

    Have a good day all!;)

I can make no claim by qualification to start this daily thread - only my experience in having noticed that yesterday's just disappeared!

I must be a jinx! I was reading a very long series of posts on the DFW board by the "Taws family of 7" (fakes, I think) when it disappeared as I was moving to the next thread!

    Ah well.

Trouble is that I had put a really long post in yesterday's in response to the very lucky person who had just got themselves a Jack Russell... However, I really can't tale the time again to reproduce it! Perhaps when I have five minutes :)

Anyway, it's an early start tomorrow so good night... sleep well!

Thank you Bertie for starting today's thread! I went to post on yesterday's and the flipping thing disappeared...did I inadvertantly kill it I wonder....hmmm... how weird is that!

I was going to post a reply direct to ChurchMouse for her lovely note to me yesterday. Sorry everyone, it has been evaporated but Churchie knows what she wrote. It was lovely Churchie, really really cheered me up... in fact it made me so happy I cried (cos I'm Irish you see...). Have a fantastic time in Malta, hope you get a fantastic deal.

Wednesday Old Style...just to keep it legal and all that...going to do some housework! There is that alright lol!!!

Awww poor Bertie...I saw your post about all the doggies in your life...the sad stories about your four german shepherds, and the one who died at the vet's at 9 months, and the little mutt from your DD, and the collie and now the wee baby you pretended you didn't want but did want really and who is really special. Now I want a dog...thanks!:rotfl::D

   :D I would say definatly so.

    Hiya everybody,

Quick post while DGS sitting right next to me eating apple. ;) Hope you all have a cheery day. Bye for now.
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

  • :o I wondered what happened to yesterdays thread:confused: Thought it was me gone mad:o

And here I am, the proud owner of a Jack Russell pup, and would love to have caught up with it!! (the thread not the dog :rotfl: )

Well, he's certainly giving me lots to do lmao. The kittens are just begining to come back in the house. He's not bothered by them at all. Just seems their pretty pink noses have been put out of joint. Still they are coming round, and I'm sure life will return to normal.........not that I think it will ever be 'normal' again:D

Took him to the vets for his first Vaccinations today, and was deftly relieved of fifty quid:rolleyes: Where do vets get their prices from:confused::p
He's in rude health, and had his first bath today, a complete necessity, as he stank:eek: He doesn't leave my side, and has given my 3 yo dd the hump cos she's having trouble sharing a lap with a puppy.
Maybe I should be certifiable, but I am enjoying the chaos.

Old styling tomorrow will involve cooking some cakes, as we're all out, and giving the house and laundry a good seeing to. The place is begininng to get out of hand again, and needs a good fly.

Oh and the car almost passed it's MOT, will set me back around eighty pounds to sort out and then that's it for another year. Easy come....easy go eh:confused:

Have a lovely day one and all.

Oh I know what I was going to ask.......

Today I went to the cash & Carry where hubby works (he's a lorry driver) and bought 15kg (smallest they had:rolleyes: ) of type 45 strong french bread flour. Now this is far too much for me so if anyone is near the Bury st edmunds area and wants to share some, sing out!!!

Right off to kitchen to start some dough for the french bread tomorrow:p Knew there was something OS I was supposed to be doing.:rotfl:
