  • Hi, Kiwi, I put it as an "edit" in the post above, but then realised, you probably won't see it.

How did you get on with your road safety campaign on the TV?

    Good morning One and All

The delights of a double shift for me today. I'm shattered and I'm only two hours in! But 4 and a half hours of over time will be added to the pay pack at the end of the month

Sitting here with a nice cuppa, working my way through the papers, so I'm obviously working VERY hard:D

Really hungry so think I'll have to raid the box of breakfast bars I keep under my desk away from prying eyes.

Will be totally exhausted by the time I leave so just want to sleep when I get home.

    Morning Chums ,
here I am back from my travels Holland was great and the hotel was fantastic four-course meals every night .I could get used to being waited on hand, foot and finger very easily. I am off to see my sis-in-law today who has just returned from Dubai, she said it was too hot to even got into her daughters swimming pool .All of my umpteen plumbers have been and inspected my new boiler and it is all working O.K. I must do a spot of painting at the week-end as I have a small bit of wall in my sitting room that needs re-painting where the old pipes used to be. I don't know where the time goes to these days I seem to be chasing my tail . Went to my college lit class yesterday morning and plowed through the Ancient Mariner, very sleep inducing .I was very good and took one of my books with me on my hols I didn't know how long-winded Herman Melville was when he wrote Moby !!!!!!. I am on page 163 and he hasn't even set foot on a boat yet !!
I have parts of Homer's Oddessy to get through before next Tuesday as well. I must be barmy at my age ,still it keeps the little grey cells working ..just. My Lit course is all about the sea. Well time to go folks ,hope you all have a whizzy wonderful day and get all your essential bits done. It looks like it's going to chuck it down today

    Kiwi,

Insurance is a total rip off, isn't it?! I have three years NCB and under 25 and mine is only just coming down to a half-way to decent amount!

Penelope, my mum has a hand blended (i think it's braun?) and wouldn't be without it. I bought a £5 from a SM when I moved into my flat last year and it was rubbish, used it maybe twice because I could smell burning when it was used! My mum's is good, though.

    Hiya everybody,

Just put our tea in the oven. Made a zucchinni quiche. Didn't have the best night with DGS last night. He has a runny nose & bit of a cough today so I'm hoping he doesn't get what I've got. My throat was bad again last night. Think I used the whole bottle of spray up. :D Feel much better in myself though even if I do still have the flu. Feel I can cope now.

DGS tells me when after he's done a wee wee in his nappy. :D Bless, he's 18 months so once we get the procedure in the right order he should be quite easily to potty train. Have one here but not pushing it atm. We get our framing inspection tomorrow so hopefully it will pass. If not, I can blame DH.

Welcome back JackieO from your holiday in Holland. Glad you had a lovely time. See you all later. Byeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

    Morning everyone.

Nothing too exciting going on here, dh is away at the mo. I got a nice bonus points voucher from Mr T's the other day with 400 points for a £20 spend on non food items, which shouldn't be too difficult with christmas coming. I need to pack up all my pressies to send to New Zealand for Chrimbo tonight and hopefully put the kids to bed and do a few of theirs, ds found a book I bought him yesterday which was supposed to be from Santa but will have to wait for his birthday now  we don't have much storage space here so I have to be very creative with my hiding. I keep seeing the mince pies in the store and am so tempted to buy some (mince pie and a cup of tea mmmmm) but have told myself I must wait until december 1st.

Washing to do today, the ironing can wait until the weekend, not sure what will be for dinner as I forgot dh was away tonight so will probably throw something very lame together for myself or maybe succumb to a pizza and a bottle of wine at the supermarket :o.

Ds has a spelling test today (he's only 6  ) and after getting them all right whilst practising this week, this morning he is spelling them all wrong, does anyone have a clever way of helping kids with remembering spelling?

Have a good day and hugs to those that need them :)
  • Morning all!

Still no news on Tuesdays thread then?!

Today I shall do the kids rooms. It has to be done. I shall take black bags, recycling bags & a charity box in there.

I'll see what else I can get done then.

Actually must put a load of washing on in a mo.

    DW emptied.

    Have a good day all

    Good morning everyone,

Afraid i havnt read all the threads today, cant believe there are so many at 7.30!!!! BUT HUGS AND LOVE TO ANYONE WHO NEEDS/WANTS SOME!!!!

Hoping one of my new (replacement) credit cards gets here today, as i really need some shopping, we are about to run out of milk (once DS has his breakie) and we have run out of fruit, veg, cheese and butter!!!! luckily i like to keep my cupboards and freezer well stocked, so we can still eat, but would be nice to have the other bits!!!! If the cards dont arrive, might have to borrow some of DSs birthday money, he wont mind as i will pay it back when i next get paid.
Two little ones here today, but they love a trip around Mr Ts (think its an outing!!!) also need to hoover, as DS dragged a load of mud in the house last night after football training (dried mud is easier to get rid of than wet, thats my excuss for being lazy last night, and im sticking to it!!!)
Right, better go and make a start, packed lunches first!!!
    have a lovely day,
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
