  • Morning all!

    Freyaluck (((((hugs)))))

    VickyA, (((((hugs))))) for you too.

Had a lovely evening, DH's cousin and her family for supper. Made chicken casserole and handmade bread, with a selection of cake for pudding. Had a toasty log fire and candles, and all went well. Their daughter went off happy as anything with a big bag of clothes that my DD had grown out of.

We cleared a load of stuff from the loft yesterday, so I'm now sorting it into what to keep, what to chuck, what to Freecycle and what to charity shop. There's still plenty in the loft so DH and I will be taking a morning to do it sometime soon.

House is now pretty tidy, so quick whiz round this morning, ironing, then make a push on my paperwork.

    Have a good day

    Good morning everyone,

Horrible day outside here too, the worst bit about winter coming is the dark mornings!!!!
Only have one little one here today, so not sure what we are going to do but will be quite nice to do something individually with him.
Want to sort my kitchen out, and also have to pop in the loft in a minute, as its my god daughters birthday today, and her pressie is up there in the pressie box!!! We are going around her house for dinner tonight, she is having a little fancy dress party (for the little ones, not me!!!) so DD is looking forward to wearing her sleeping beauty dress that she got when we were on holiday in June.
Right, onwards and upwards, hope everyone has a lovely day,
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

    Morning All:hello:

Well, got back from gusty Yorkshire yesteray afternoon...my were there gales in the dales! But a lovely week & was nice to see my Nan after a year:o

Fortunately I cleaned & tidied before we went so have come back to a nice clean house & don't need to do much apart from washing (1st load on now) & sort out something for tonights dinner. A good thing as I am looking forward to a bit of a rest today & catching up on a couple of TV progammes if Spud will let me;) All depends on if I can get him back into his proper routine, which completely went to pot last week:rolleyes:

I have also come back full of good intentions:D Yes, I am going to revert to taking out the monthly budget in cash & have a bank night once a week to sort out both our banks as I have been getting very lazy about it & not doing it from one month the next & things are in a terrible state. I am going to start menu planning & writing proper shopping lists again. I am going to try & find a local farm shop or at least somwhere better than tescos:p & get more fresh fruit & veg into our diets.
Please remind me of all of this in a weeks time when it has gone to rack & ruin:o

    Have a fab day everyone:wave:

    Hello everyone!
Its damp and grey here today.
Im still digging potatoes whenever the weather allows ,only 3/4 of a row left to get out and bagged up. Hopefully they will last through until next years crop. OH did my shopping on saturday as he wanted the car. I gave him a very precise list and he only managed to overspend by about a fiver(very good for him, honestly).
I've been looking for a long coat for DS's birthday(He wanted a coat like Tom Hanks wears in road to perdition) and found one (YAY),well actually OH spied it in the charity shop but I was the one who hadn't got him a present yet so I bought it. Wierdly they were having a sale (£1 a garment) so it was a bargain. Then on the way home we popped into another shop just to look and OH spied another one(woollen) and bought it for DS for xmas.
I found some mushrooms for 19p in the reduced's yesterday so we had bacon, pineapple and mushroom pizza for tea .
Today will be tidying and hoovering as the house is a mess(OH still decorating dining room since March so stuff piled everywhere :( )
Kids just surfacing and will be off to 6th form college shortly I expect (they finally sorted the times out so they dont have to go at 6.50am when no lessons until after lunch).
Have a good day everyone and keep busy!

Quick daily thread question if you don't mind?

My post has been thanks by 7 people, despite my not referring to any of them in the post? It was hardly a life changing post or anything, jutt normal OS chit-chat? Is this now new protocol on the daily thread? Have I missed something?

We all got a bit too chatty so we asked Andrea to sort us out :D We seem to have settled into not mentioning every single person in posts (it made the thread difficult to read for some people) unless we have an answer to someone's question. Or if it's someone's birthday :D Or if they're having a bad time  Or welcoming a newbie  LOL.

I think people are thanking to say 'hello' instead of adding more posts.
