Good morning to one and all

been a bit of a up and down night here, my dd who is 11 has been very restless and full of questions, yesterday her dad phoned her to tell her he wouldnt be coming to get her and take her back to peterborough for his fortnightly visit, when she asked why he told her its because your mum wont meet me half way. I dont mind meeting him half way sometimes but he is demanding i meet him not asking so i told him no i was busy so he now thinks by not coming to get her he is spiting me but no its hurting her.. She asked if this means he doesnt love her anymore and she has been very clingy to my oh.. Out of his last 3 visits we have taken her to peterborough twice so she can see her mates and he moaned because he had to travel 5 miles to come pick her up.. texed him and told him his stupidness is causing his daughter to question his love for her, he didnt answer, he's a idiot..

Ive tried to make sure the move was easier for everyone but he is narked off that ive got myself a new life and that he has no control over it, if he continues to try and play head games with her then i will have no hesitation in stopping his access which is something i never thought i would have to. no matter what happens between the 2 of us i would never use her to gain points over him.. I stayed in peterborough for 6 yrs after we split and we picked aylesbury as its not to far, mabey i should stop thinking about how he can see her as he doesnt seem to bothered, if it upsets her he only trying to upset me and that aint happening.

anyway enough of that im going to head of back to bed in a mo the bed my daughter is in as she wanted to sleep with us last night, comfort thing.

Oh off to work so im going to try for a lie in .. is that wishful thinking lol

catch up with you all laters

Those we love don't go away,They walk beside us every day,Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear
Our thoughts are ever with you,Though you have passed away. And those who loved you dearly,
    Are thinking of you today.

  • Good morning everyone!

DH has taken DS out early as DS wants to "bag a bunny". So I'm having a cup of tea in bed, catching up with the Archers on Real Player, and surfing a few threads.

Did anyone see Robin Hood? Loved it! Something for everyone. Loads of action for the children, and buxom wenches for the dads. Robin Hood himself was cute, IMO, but it made the children pull real faces when I said so!

Watched Come Dancing after that. Enjoyed it, hut does Bruce Forsythe make anyone else's flesh creep? Didn't stay up for the result, so need to go and find that, too. Peter Schmeichel (sp??) for my money - dancing carthorse!! But the judges seemed to like him. Edit - not Nicholas Owen!?!?!?! He was way better that Jimmy or Peter IMO. Oh, well. My money's on Ray for the men.

Saw To Kill a Mocking Bird at West Yorkshire Playhouse yesterday afternoon. Brilliant! I've never seen a bad production, there. It was very thought provoking, and the children are now negotiating on who gets to read the book (I have it on the shelf) first.

We lit the first log fire of the season yesterday, so the living room was lovely and toasty. We installed a fireplace in our bedroom a couple of yeras ago, so we'll probably light one there, too, tonight.

DH's cousin and her family are coming for tea. Their daughter is starting university in York, so they're coming by here on their way back. I've made a chicken casserole, so want to make bread to go with, and bake some muffins and I think chelsea buns. Not done them since I was at school.

Jockett, hugs to you and yours. Seems like you've worked really hard to keep everyone happy. Hope you can sort things just now.

Mimi and Shez. Did you manage to meet?

Welcome to all who've recently joined the Big Happy Family that we call the Daily OS Thread.

    Have a great day!

    Morning All,

HUGS for you and DD JOCKETTUK it can be really rotten after a seperation. My dad used to have us every other weekend but he got sick of it (why???) and took off. Havent seen hin since I was 15, I'm 26 now. Its his loss but at 15 its damned hard to understand whats happened. I think its natural to question yourself. Keep showing/telling your daughter how much she means to you and how much you love her, nothing beats having reassurance from the ones closest to you.

Well, yesterdays car search proved fruitless. We went to look at a ford focus for me but it had previously been owned by a boy racer. The dealer didnt admit it but when something like focus has a massive front grill, HUGS exhaust and great big speakers set into the cover of the boot you do begin to wonder?????? Off to look at another one today so fingers (and toes) are firmly crossed.

Have made 2 big SC's full of soup over the last couple of days, one pumpkin and one curried parsnip. They are all portioned into containers and in the fridge but I have to rearrange the freezer today to try and fit them in.

Need to get the foundation of the garden shed finished today while we have what may be the last of our fine weather. Must also mow the lawn in prep for winter.

Am off now to get a warm cup of milk for the kids and a nice big coffee for myself.

Hope you all have a lovely sunday,
    Al.

    Good morning all!!!

Hugs to all who need themxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I had a lovely day yesterday, ds1 won his footy match 8-0, then we came home help Dh fit cctv camera on the house ( up a ladder in high winds was quite scary!!). Then had a day with not one visitor, that is very very rare in this house at the weekend, so made the most of it by just laying around watching tv with the kids eating lots of chocs and the odd glass of wine!!

Plans for today footy match ds3 at 10am, then lamb In SC for dinner, leak, ham and chessy roll ups for supper, make bread for pack ups and abit of ironing, and i stress ABIT!!! (Hate ironing!!!)
Then after bath time mayham, watch a film with the kids before bed-time.

    Have a wonderful sunday all!

  • Morning Guys

Feeling better this morning:D and slept through:D throat is still hurting though and think it may have gone to chest-will have to go back to GP if still not better tomorrow. As I have no immune system, colds and flus can get particularly nasty especially with one certai drug im taking.

Come downstairs and put the heating up to 18c as it was quite nippy. Also ground some coffee beans and put the perculator on for OH and I'll have half a cup with my toast. WM Ive put on as OH loaded it last night for me. House is pretty clean and tidy. DD decided yesterday to move her room around and have to admit it looks quite good:rolleyes: ...she bagged alot of crap up (about 2 bags) and has 1 bag of sellable stuff. Im hoping today that we can sort her clothes as she has so many that dont fit her and getting fed up with "I have nothing to wear"!

Still hoping to go round friends house later for dinner. Offered to take wine and pudding, but he said its all covered-so will take wine anyway and he can keep if not opened.
Have 3 hospital visits this week, 2 up london-so that will be fun:eek:   Still havent heard aything about my DLA except that a decision should be made by the 16th October-so fingers x'd.

Well. I hope everyone has a great day today.

Aussielass-A special hug to you hun.

    Beakie: Toast & honey
    Lunch: Soup & Roll
    Dinner: Out

    Hugs.
