Dp is just off into town with the littlens to pop a cheque in the bank and take dd 7 yo clothes to mums (she steyed there last night), they are off swimming later.
Am going to make some more banana bread today, not very good for my diet, but oh well.
Dp got an invite to very posh xmas dinner do :j:T in december from a company he works for, so really need to shed some pounds and find a decent but inexpesive dress. All the ones I have looked at so far have been over £100:eek: but I must be an:A and resist, weel I don't have that much money lieing around do have no chance of getting them really:rolleyes:
Can you tell I am feeling a lot chirpier today, which is great because all I have wanted to do all week is cry and mope.

Our passports arrived this morning and OH looks like Grant from Eastenders...a thug in other words;) ...and TBH...Im quite pleased with mine...I look...well...young:T ...well younger than OH anyway:rotfl:
In the post we also had OH's free razor, 2 x £1 vouchers and I dont know if anyone else has had them, but a free coupon from Boots for one of their free permanent hair dyes and a free full size colour conditioner:D ...very pleased with freebies this week.
OH hung the washing out and am embarrassed to say that I used the TD again yesterday, it must be the 5th time this year:eek:   ....well we are in October now:D
DD & OH having soup for lunch and Ive pulled a leftover chilli and rice from the freezer as I didnt fancy a spud. In Asda the other day my OH spotted a great buy on Heinz Tom soup-which is our favourite. It was a pack of 4 for £2.28 or 2 packs of 4 (so 8 in total) for £2.00...and they had Cathedral city 400g cheddars in resealable packets at £3.08 each or 2 packs for £3
...very strange!
OH has to pop round to Lidls in abit as we have run out of veg. Need carrots, cauliflower, swede, cabbage, leeks, onions-then some bananas and pears. Salad if they have any and bread too. Have asked DD to help him as he's quite ill too.
DD has completed her HW and has had to build a cell and we had a big argy bargy last night as she kept getting OH to do her HW and she wasnt listening properly...aaaahhhhhhh. The HW was about mean numbers, averages and ranges. She was driving me flippin nutz.....can someone remind me WHY we choose to have children.....as I keep bloomin forgettingI wouldnt mind, but she knew the answers but was being too lazy to describe what the words meant, so in the end she got sent to her room and wasnt allowed to come down till it was done and understandable. You folks that have more than 1 kid...deserve a medal...honestly:A
Anyway, as you can see Im totally bored and banging on about anything now:D Hope everyone is ok and hugs to those who arent.
Frizzhead-where are you? Hope your ok.

Morning!!!
(((Hugs))) Aussie Lass, you don't sound yourself at all.
Wishing all poorly people better, this is in no way medical advice but as soon as the kids go back to school after the summer I start us all on some drops of echinacea in our juice each morning, even if one of us is unfortunate to catch a cold the symptoms are usually less severe. As I said, it's just what we do not medical advice in any way shape or form!!
Well beautiful day here so two loads of washing in the garden. We've been to ballet in the worlds coldest church hall (why are they always freezing)? Back home now, need to strip our bed, hoover upsatirs and dust upstairs and downstairs. Need to make flapjackas (again, made them last night and they are all gone!!!!!!!! ), chocolate brownies and maybe an apple cake. Also need to make pizza dough for calzones tonight and prepare leek and bacon pasta bake for tomorrows dinner so we can just pop it in the oven after Legoland. Oh and need to prepare tommorrows picnic too and go to see my Dad and go shopping- think I need an extra few hours in the day too!!! I have some great daily to do lists in my household manual, when I have lots to do I find these really useful.
Breakfast: Toast & Marmite and loads of cups of tea!!!
Lunch: Sarnies
Dinner: Calzones & green salad
Hope everyone has a lovely day!!

morning folks!! managed to get up a bit earlier today - 11.15am as opposed to the 1pm that yesterday saw, which is a bit better. Having said that, yesterday, despite the late start was pretty productive - got the photos (free prints for xmas cards and making fridge magnets), posted gran's card, picked up stuff from Aldi, made bread, dinner (HM chinese food), did 2 lots of washing up, and made a sausage style draught excluder for the back door which looks fabby, really happy with that. (got photos if anyone wants to see..)
today's plan:
make another sausage draught excluder for the front door (although stuffing it will have to wait till wed when i get paid/get to haberdashery), make a small drawstring bag for a friend, small tablecloth for a table to match a footstool that stands nearby, hammer upholstery tacks into the footstool to finish it off (again, got photos if anyone wants), do a bunch of washing and hang it outside while the weather is (somewhat) sunny and hope it dries, hang up curtain lining in the living room and cook breakfast (bacon and egg butties with HM Bread) and dinner (pizza/meatball spaghetti). And anything else i can think of. LOL.
all the sewing i'm doing btw (am working on quilts too) has cost me very little, the footstool recovering cost i think a couple quid, cos the material i'm using is old samples of curtain material that i was lucky enough to get, all i had to pay for was some nice cording and the upholstery tacks, and i'm making quilts with the other samples, as well as the sausages and various other things to go around the house. Very OS!!
anyway.. here's to a productive day - i hope all those with cold/coughs feel better soon (and don't give em to me!!)

Hi everyone!
Phew I finally made it. Usually a Saturday at work is a good bet for a nose around the board between students but it's been quite bonkers here. People turning up who I wasn't expecting, phone ringing lots....anyway have sent them all home now and locked the door to get some peace before hitting the shops for Chrimbo shopping:D
Penny Pincher...you may find https://www.bbc.co.uk/skillswise has something suitable for your daughter. There's loads of good free resources for both literacy and numeracy [you can guess that's part of my job can't you!!]
I'm definitely a grumpy old mare today. I think OH was pleased to escape down to the Planetarium down at Chichester with the small person!! Anyway one of the students has just given me a box of shortbread biccies so that's cheered me up.:rotfl: :rotfl:
OS today has been a white wash so far along with all the usual tidying up and decluttering. Have also pulled out the small person's winter clothes and was pleased to find a load of perfect fleeces that I'd bought from a jumble earlier in the year for 10p each which will now fit him. Shall have a poke in the charity shops to see if I can find him any long sleeved tshirts.
We had parents eve this week and his teacher said he found it difficult to add up amounts of money. OK I'll test him I thought and deliberately shortchanged him on his pocket money [gave him loads of changes]. He knew immediately!!!! He also resisted the mega expensive booksale they had at school this week because he knew they were holding a sale yesterday of all the old library books. He'd sussed that he could get loads more for his money and staggered out triumphantly yesterday with loads[ plus the keyboard he'd bribed my Mum into getting him but it was only a £1] OS is definitely genetic!!
Enjoy the sunshine
