Morning everyone,
Sorry to hear people are still not feeling well, at least it is the perfect weather for snuggling up and staying warm. Oh has been booted out of bed into dd's junior bed! so he can have a lay in whilst the kids and I are in our bed watching cbeebies and pootering!
A fairly busy saturday here. d.s has to be at the pool for 8am for his swimming lesson but luckily oh takes him. Then I need to take the kids to the library as we didn't manage it after school yesterda, we are then going on to a play centre to let them run off some energy and where we can sit and have a coffee and a sandwich. Finally I think we will head to the video shop as we can rent 3 dvd's for £5 for the week, some maltesers might be calling too! I could do with having a tidy round as well. I am looking forwards to the X factor and Strictly Come Dancing tonight a bottle of white wine shall be needed methinks!
Dinner tonight will be a chicken and mushroom risotto, I need to make the stock and cook the chicken which should last us a couple more meals, I will also use some of the stock to make some tomato soup as my mum gave me a big bag of the last of their tomatoes which are definitely starting to look past their best but ideal for soup.
Stay warm and enjoy your day.0 -
Good morning
Yesterday was anoter productive day. Got the weekly food shopping done. Lidl are doing half price fruit and veg in October so made a bit of a saving there. Made it to the Post Office and bank as well. Another Greasypalm cheque arrived in the post just before I left the house which was lucky!
Today I am at work until 1. No plans for after that. If we end up doing nothing I will pop up the loft and sort through the Crimbo stuff.
Tonight is X-Factor night. Will just cosy up and watch that
Last night was the first night I have felt a bit chilly. Hubby was all for putting the heating on (he wasn't even cold) but I refused. I put a cardi and socks on and I was fine
Must go as really should be getting ready.
Bye for now.0 -
Donna, just put a cupfull of water in the bottom of the slowcooker and it will cook in the steam. You dont want it in too much liquid as lamb is quite fatty. A shoulder/leg will take about 6/8 hours on slow.Pawpurrs x0

Morning all :hello:
Trago Mills - I would like to live thereYou should see the Christmas stuff :T  , mr troo was going  behind my back (he thought I couldn't see him lol) then I spotted the craft section and a woman got chatting to me about making cards, her hubby and mr troo were both going  and while we talked about cards, they talked about locally brewed beer
Master troo was supposed to ring us last night to let us know what he was doing, he didn't ring and his phone was switched off. I fell asleep and woke this morning at 6am, ran to his room in a panic and there he was tucked up in bed, and one of his mates is asleep on his floor  He thinks because he's 16 and pays keep, he can do what he likes and it's none of our business
Is that too many smilies? lol. Not very OS either, so I'll add this - today I'm going to make some candles
Off to catch up with yesterday's thread, see you later.Bulletproof0 -

lots of hugs to all who feel unwell or cannot sleep have a good day0 -
Morning, all!
DH has taken children to swim club, so I'm tidying round, making chicken casserole, bread, and some baking, but not sure what yet.
DH will be coming back to clear a nest from our dining room chimney, so we can get it swept. Think I'll light a fire in the living room, tonight. Makes it sooooooooo cosy (but then the rest of the house feels cold!).
DS has footie training, later.
We're clearing loads of old junk from the loft, so it'll be interesting to see what's been up there and not missed for the last 10 years!
Off to the theatre this afternoon, to see To Kill a Mocking Bird. Can't wait!
Snowy, you'll have a great time! Keep us informed.
Get better soon, if you're feeling:

Good morning everyone,
Off to stand in a muddy field this morning to watch DS play football, it was raining most of yesterday, so i had hoped it would be called off, but this morning looks quite bright out there, so never mind!!!!
Have put the first load in the WM, (my bedding) and im hoping it will be finished in time for me to hang it out, and get another load on before leaving for the footie.
Shouldve made some bread last night, but forgot so not sure what we will be having for lunch (no money to buy any shopping) Will put the BM before we go out, so might cook something at lunchtime (lucky i like to keep a full cupboard!!!), and then use the bread for sarnies tonight!!!
Looking forward to the telly tonight, the main dilema is what to watch and when!!! DS will be wanting to watch the England match, so i think this week we will tape X Factor and Ant and Dec, and watch the footie, Robin Hood and Strictly Come Dancing (along with some HM popcorn!!!!) what an exciting life we lead!!!!!
Right, off to get the BM on,
Snowy - hope the induction goes well xx
Troo - i love Trago, we normally go to the Liskeard one!!!!
Hope all the poorly peeps feel better soon (know how you feel, still cant shift this cough!!!! )
Have a lovely day
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -
Hi everyone,
To all sore throats - get well soon.
Are you gargling with salted water? (Tastes foul but clears out a lot of bugs). And remember SPIT not SWALLOW
To everyone else - have a lovely day
Todays a busy day, forgot to collect prescription from doctors yesterday - hope they're open on a Saturday! I've got to get some more home insurance quotes too - or no chance of money saving. Farmers Market is on this morning, so I have to stock up on their bacon and sausages - which are absolutely the best.
The windfall apples in the garden need picking up, and if in good condition stored and if not prepared and frozen.
And I mustn't forget the football! OH will be sitting in front of the tv by 4.45 and I quite like an England game too!
Dinner's probably the Tuna we bought for yesterday and then didn't fancy - we had a very naughty pineapple crumble instead!!!! (If you haven't tried it do, it's lovely).
Happy days all0
