Well done and how did you manage it? I could do with losing "quite a bit!";)

Went to Lidl and the house is now full of food. DH has just kindly informed me that the soup is not as nice as I used pork ribs!

Do I get a medal for agreeing that it is better with hock or gammon? (Not rising to the bait!)

May make sweet potato cakes for tea with salad if I can rouse myself. Took ages to put away all the food.

    Hugs to everyone.

Made the Christmas cake yesterday - Jane Grigson's orange and ginger one - one big one and 4 little ones in small baked bean tins for pressies - have to feed them with Cointreau each week.

    Lucky cakes!!! :D

I hope your purse gets returned, Catowen. Awful to lose much-needed money like that. What a wonderful friend you've got though!

StressedoutMum - Horrible to have your bike stolen too. Thieving b*****rds! Ive got a bike you could have too. Its a small, white, fold up bike and not that comfortable but I was going to list it on Freecycle. I live near Coventry if thats any use?

Freyaluck - I can't believe that! Taking your dog for a walk in your car! Ive seen people on their bikes with a dog running alongside, but a car!!!!!

I was quite pleased with myself today. Got my polishing, hoovering and loo cleaning jobs done in time to take dog to the vets at 10.00 (just a check up after a dental procedure last week). It meant that when I got back at 10.30 I could get lots more done! Put WM on and BM has so far made a white loaf and a banana loaf. Will be doing a 'best of both' type loaf later, which looks and tastes like white but has a few wholemeal flecks in it. Its very moist and scrummy. :D Plus, the sun has come out this afternoon, which is lovely!

Glad today is going better - yesterday was awful. Got a phone call from the docs to say that the results from my 'sample' had come back and they found that I had got a bacterial infection (which has been causing my runs! :embarasse: ) It was really quick though because I only handed it in on Tuesday. Im now on antibiotics, but I felt really sick yesterday thinking that Id got some sort of lurgy! Never had that sort of infection before.:( Besides all that, because it just kept raining and raining my little puppy kept doing her toiletting in the house all day even though I was watching her like a hawk in order to put her out (I go with her holding the umbrella). The amount of sneaky poos she managed to do is amazing! Im sick of the smell of it and my hands are dry and red from having to keep washing them! At least the house smells fresh and clean but its just impossible to toilet train when the weather's bad!

B: toast made with homemade bread
L: Cheese salad sandwich made with HM Best of Both Bread
D: HM Chilli con carne and rice (with a glass of red to go with it! Yum!)

hi - only really started posting a few days ago, and still very much learning my way around.. we had a late morning here - didn't get up till 1pm  but then i didn't get to bed till 3.30am and OH didn't make it till 5.30am.. needless to say we don't work.. LOL..

focus today is getting into town to pick up some free photos that i got via a free offer on jessop's snapfish (I'd post a link but the offer's ended), i'm printing some wintery photos from last year's early snow at the beginning of december to put on the front of xmas cards, as well as some other photos to cut out and turn into fridge magnets for xmas pressies for people :j while i'm in town i gotta post a "thinking of you card" to my Grannie (its the anniversary of my Grandad's death on saturday) then i'm stopping at Aldi on the way home to pick up a few bits n pieces, then when i get home, got to do the washing up, make some bread, (so OH can have bacon/egg sandwiches with HM Bread which he *adores*), cook chinese food for dinner, and get to work on making some sausage-style draught excluders for the front and back door. I made a new cover for a footstool we have last night, but the upholstery tacks need hammering in and the neighbours would not have thanked me for trying to do that at 2am, so if i get time today at a reasonable hour, i might do that too, if not, then it'll wait till saturday.

and on that note, since its nearly 3pm, i need to get going!!!

To the lady who had her purse stolen and the lady who had her bike stolen: *insert rude word here*... i hope they get caught and you get your money/bike back..

    keth

    Afternoon all

Not posted for a while as we've had no connection for ages....grrrr.. Builders have cracked on with the extension but of course as soon as they started stripping the roof back it's been raining cats and dogs - I've got plastic sheeting everywhere but all the rain and muck is blowing in....ah well.

Had a really naff week work wise - one of those - "why do I bother weeks" - Am seriously thinking about giving up childminding, I love doing it but hate being taken for granted so much. DH is just about to move offices and get a huge increase in wage (£500+ per month) so I could afford to give up without it being to much of money worry - would have prefered to put that money to paying off the debt quicker though but think my sanity might be worth more than a few extra months interest.

Need to do a major cupboard and freezer inventory - it all went a bit haywire this week, meal plan went out the window and I'm not sure what's what. We've had 3 schools to look at this week for DD1, she's decided which one she liked the best and luckily did very well in her mock 11+ and should manage a grammar school pass - fingers crossed!

Got all the winter duvets out of the loft this morning - being that half the roof is off, everything feels a little damp to say the least - hoping they'll all dry out over the weekend so I can get them on the beds....can't even put any heating on as they've had to remove 2 radiators to knock down walls.

Anyways - I'd best go put another load in the TD - the only way I can get anything dry - much as it pains me to use it (but I am putting in a claim to the landlord for all the inconvenience caused by the building work - so that will help pay the extra leccy bill!)

Hope you all have a great weekend.

    Good Afternoon All

(((hugs to those feeling unwell))). Welcome to Kethry and Pink Parrot.

Well done PoshPaws - that is fantastic. Also it really gives you incentive to carry on.

Nothing OS done here so far. Did one load of washing early this am which is still in the machine! Went to DS Harvest Festival which was much better than previous years but was still too packed with too many parents (we have a very small school hall). Then had friend come round unexpectedly and then spent the afternoon so far running errands and getting soaking wet.

Luckily DD is more organised than me and has tidied her bedroom, done her homework and packed her bag for monday morning.

Therefore when get off here will be emptying the wm, reloading and trying to fit the washing on rads. General tidy up downstairs. Cook tea - we are having bacon eggs mushrooms and fresh bread. Will then finish ironing and maybe put another load of washing on. Tomm will be dropping DD at horseriding then DS and myself will go and visit my Nan who lives in London. I have been invited out for a drink tomorrow eve in a town 20 miles away, will go and will have to drive but at least that will save me some money.

Sunday after taking DS football plan to just chill all day. Have the Xmen DVD and popcorn at the ready.

Well really better go now. Hope you all have a fab weekend.
