Forgot to say yesterday, found this wonderful little antique shop and I wanted to buy everything in it. But not too flush at the moment (when am I) but especially not with the move. Anyhoo, bought a lovely quilt to keep me warm a perfect condtion paisley and rosebud one foor a bargain and a old fashioned cake rack wire thingy, I love those for £2. My last antique quilt the dog ripped up in the night and I woke up surrounded by feathers!
My visa card got cloned yesterday and has been used by someone in Turkey, they rang me up yesterday and asked if I was in Turkey, eh no your talking to me on my landline in East Sussex!

  • Good morning everyone - it's FRIDAY!!! :j :j :j

Just one more day of work to get through and then it's the weekend :T

Packed lunches are all made, clothes are all ironed, I'm sat here in towels at the mo whilst having a quick surf before I get dressed.

I've got an appointment at the nurses after work/school to get some patches to hopefully give up smoking. With the patches and my incentive of putting all the money in my new terramundi pot - hopefully this time it'll work :D

    B: Cereal
L: DH - Noodles and chicken, DD school dinners  and me last night's leftover ranchero pie

    D: Chilli

Hope everyone has a great Friday

    (((((hugs)))))
Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )
Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)

    Morning everyone

I've just got up...a vast improvement to the usual 4.00 am wakes up I so often have! My 24 hour wakeathon was a disaster - really put me into a horrible grumbly upset mood, then when I did go to sleep I slept for far too long! Don't think I will be trying that one again in a hurry.

I'm off to meet two ex-colleagues today for a spot of lunch in Belfast. It'll be fab to see them as I haven't met up with them since Christmas. On the subject of w*** I have now finished that krap job which made me so unhappy. Put in my notice last week, and my official end date is Friday the 13th:eek:. It would have made more sense if I'd started it on a Friday the 13th - isn't life funny! The best bit is that I am still not fit for work so don't actually have to go in again. I have been offered a temp job in a supermarket, start date to be arranged and which will last until after Christmas. After that...well, we'll see!

Catowen maybe you dropped your wallet and someone will hand it in - well, you never know! If it really was stolen then I hope they find the piece of poo and s/he gets his/her comeuppance. Your friend sounds really kind, how lovely of her to do that for you.

Off now to read a wee bit more of my book, see you all later.

    Morning everyone.

Sorry about all the sore throats. But glad you slept better Snowy.

Off to "that place" in a mo (ie work).

DD and DS are having a sleepover tonight. Granpa and Granny are keeping them 'cos DH and I have hired a sander and will be sanding the floors of the Dining room and the hall tomorrow. I am sooooo not looking forward to it. But the results will be worth it.

Going to try Chilli in the SC tomorrow. It'll probably have added sawdust - it's all fibre:rotfl: .

DH and I might go to pictures tonight since we'll be kiddie free. We're so not used to going out that we can't really think of what to do. Don't fancy pub on a friday (goodness how some people change - you wouldn't have heard me say that a few years ago! ):A

    Take care everyone:)

Forgot to say - thanks for that link Queenie - looks good. I have spent so much on knitting patterns over the years.

    Morning folks

I woke up at 7:45 this morning :j :j Usually I am awake from the wee early hours and then tired throughout the day (and falling asleep at 9 o'clock) so it's a nice change.

Have put a load of washing on. One more to go and that's my holiday washing done. Thank god. We have been home since last Monday

Yesterday was very productive. I started in the bathroom as that is at the furthest end of the house. Made it all sparkly and clean then moved onto one of the hall cupboards. This was all cleared and tidied. Next was the kitchen which just needed a quick tidy and wipe over. The living room then got dusted and tidied. Moved into the bedroom where I did the ironing. This took me an hour and a half as it had kinda piled up. I then tackled hubbys wardrobe as he has no idea how to hang or fold clothes and everything is just rolled up and thrown in. He has now been warned to keep it that way. After all that I was done for the day!

Today I need to go out and get some food shopping. Either today or Sunday will go to Costco as well. Must pop to the bank and post office as well. If I have time I want to go up to the loft and see what Christmas stuff I have and make a list of what's still to get.

Have a great start to the weekend :D

    Morning Everyone

Catowen - Sorry to hear about your purse yesterday, even more low of them considering you had a small child with you.

I had a good night's sleep last night. DD is sleeping in her own bed now but still comes into our room a couple of times a night, however Oh put her back to bed as he has been away for a few days.

I need to pop to the shops to buy a few bits. Ds has lost his coat at school and is not allowed to play outside without it, I am debating whether to buy him a very cheap cagoul as a fallback or whether to wait until we find this one. I will take the kids to the library after school, ds is very excited as they have all of the Horrid Henry books and audio c.d's that he loves.

My neighbour popped over the other day to ask if her son and friends could do their band practice on a friday evening 6-7pm in their basement, considering we live in a terrace with paper thin walls it will be interesting to hear, I just hope they are good!

Dinner tonight will be a chicken curry. I hope everyone has a cosy and warm day. It is miserable here in Cambridge.

Have my slow cooker on again today, which is good as I have a stinking cold and when I get home from work I will NOT feel like cooking!! Just doing a spicy casserole but it will be sooooooooooooo good :D

However I have to do some work today :p I#m baking cakes tonight for a fundraiser this weekend, but I find it quite relaxing thankfullly, now that I have got used to the quirks of my oven :o

I have been so lazy on the cooking side of things we have more takeawys this week than we have had in years:o I must get back on track and start to organise a bit better.
In the evenings this week I have been washing down all the walls and woodwork:eek: how gross:eek: we both smoke and the filth that I have tipped down my sink was disgusting, I used a whole bottlw of stardrops in 2 days:eek: I have STARCLEN but I have no idea what to clean with it the smell is awful too. Miserable weather again today so the TD is on full whack  and I seem to have muddy paw prints on my clean flooring:rolleyes:
    I hope everyone is well
