    Hi All
Well, the Oxtail soup was fabulous, but not ay all like the thick brown stuff I had as a child. This was a very clear soup with a light taste. Definitely a "make again" recipe.

OH being very OS today. He's made 6 bottle of HM Ketchup, and this batch is his BEST EVER. (I've been eating the spare dregs spread on hm bread, delicious).

He has also made some super-hot chilli sauce, and now he is making some hm "Tabasco" sauce. This last one is stinking the house out, and every time I go in the kitchen my eyes start to water.

My contribution is to design the labels, keep track of which recipe he used and to make notes on what he did differently to the specified recipe, just in case we get a "BEST EVER".

Incessant rain, but at least its warmed up a bit. Perilously close to firing up the central heating. Will have to lay a fire tomorrow I think. If I do it in the morning it'll warm the whole house without having me passing out through overheating (We have a solid fuel stove which is sooooo efficient its often too hot).

Jackie, I saw that your daughter found your passport - where was it?

Cat, My god, poor you! Try your insurance company, just in case. I wish I could think of something more constructive to say!

Hope everyone who is feeling under the weather feels better soon.

Sorry Guys, this isnt OS at all. Just wanted to tell you all how pleased I am.

The village I live in is being threatened with the building of a bypass that will see its traffic increaed by 3000 vehicles a day. Traffic is already dire and walking the children to school has become genuinally scary and stressful. It seems our protests are being heard though. All the school community who walk are being contacted and asked to meet at 8.15am tomorrow morning. The BBC are sending someone to walk to school with us all so they can see just how dangerous it has become. YAY for the little people!!!!!!!!!!!:T

PS-Am a bit peeved with my BM, have done a lovely dried fruit loaf and the sodding fruit dispender didnt open so its got no bleeding fruit in it
    WW Start Weight 18/04/12 = 19st 11lbs
    Weight today = 17st 6.5lbs
    Loss to date 32.5lbs!!!

I had that problem once. I had packed so much fruit into the dispenser that it jammed on me!

    Go, Kiwi, that's brilliant!

Will you come to my primary school. When we (Governing Body) last discussed this I was seen as very quaint. Why encourage children to walk to school, when it's so much easier to get out the 4x4 and drive them 1/4 mile?

Cat, crossing everything for you. JackieO who was the saint of lost things you implored?

I have orange cake and cherry muffins in the oven DS is playing football for the school again, so will be starving when he gets in, then has footie training at 6:30. HM chilli, with HG chilli beans in.

Got my new specs yesterday - Karen Millen, so v flash, but not cheap   Oh, well. I do use them every day :D Got a free daily contact trial week after next. Hoping I can get the prescription, then buy more online.

Off singing later. I've caused a bit of an "incident" as I was improperly dressed for our recent concert (wrong uniform, not indecent!! :rotfl: ). Thing is, the choir is run by people who aren't direct, so never tell you what's needed, then whisper about you behind your back. I've never been told what the uniform was (anything black was all I was told). Apparently it should have been long sleeved, and mine was short. I wish someone would just tell me to my face!

Had curry for dinner, just remembered had naan breads to go with, but forgot, never mind will have them with cheese for lunch tomorrow.
Feeling better this evening, not sure what has made me so down the last few days.
And YAY my washer is finally fixed, just need to catch up now:eek:
An update on Jons Grandad sean, unfortunately he is now come to the end of his fight and only has a week or so left, which has hit the family pretty hard, we were hoping to get up to see him, but looks like we wont make it in time. But he has had a really good life And wont want us to be upset, so we are all putting on brave faces for his sake, he was always the life of the party , its horrible how suddenly diseases like lukemia can jump on board.
Right must go and do the washing up before I leave.
    Hugs

Hi everyone. Been up and down with some fairly minor but frustrating health stuff so haven't had anything much to write here. However, although I have sent a fair few threads to discussion time, I don't often want to do it the other way round. But here's one FROM there that I wanted to share with all of you here.

Read the links on the opening post. Have the sound on if you've got any on your computer. Very powerful and moving story.
May all your dots fall silently to the ground.
