    Morning all

I've been up since 4.30am and have been catching up on all the computer things that were either outstanding or had to be done today. I'm still not done, but its good to not have to keep remembering it all!

The BM is currently cooking an eccentric loaf entitled "what can I put in this?" bread. All of which was sparked off by accidentally putting waaay too much sugar in the pan. So, its now got Sunflower seeds, Caraway seeds and Raisins. It'll either be nice or the birds will love it! The other pan has got a standard wholemeal loaf, so we won't go hungry if the other one becomes bird food. :D

I'm ahead of the game and have got the defrosting out for tomorrow's meals already. Makes a change from scrabbling in the freezer at midnight! ;)

I've realised my age, this morning, having been listening to Radio 2 online and relating to all of it. OMG, I've become my parents.

Its Food Festival weekend in Rochester today and tomorrow, I'll have to consult the weather forecast as to which day to go. I'm tempted to wait until almost closing time and see whether anybody's marking stuff down rather than take it home!

Better go - got a pie to make before dinner tonight.

    B : shreddies, weasels (raisins), h/m yoghurt & honey;
    L : lovely lentil lunch with h/m bread;
D : chicken & sweetcorn pie, veggies & spuds. Chocolate ice cream.

Oh, by the way, I've discovered that Asda's chocolate ice cream is less than 5% fat, even though its not marketed as low fat. :T
:hello: I'm very well, considering the state I'm in. :hello:

    Morning folks

Haven't had time to post much this last week - anyone know where i can buy a 27 working hour day and at least 8 hours sleep a night please? :rotfl:

Sorry some of you are not well. I sorted out my wardrobes last night and ended up with a huge sneezing attack but with shivers, so I don't know if it was dust related or whether I'm succumbing to the lurgy that every kid in the neighbourhood has been coughing at me all week :o Anyway, I have nice tidy wardrobes, summer stuff is in the attic and I found clothes I'd forgotten I had :j

DS1 and Mr TM are camping this w/e (D of E stuff) but it's DS1's "first mass" tonight so they'll be back for that. I have lots of errands to run this morning and have to go and pick up lots of rotastak stuff I won on ebay last night - the gerbils should be in heaven :D The tonight after DS2 is in bed, I can watch the new series of Strictly Come Dancing (I love it :D) with a glass of vino.

You can tell autumn is well and truly here - the heating is on, the SC has been well used this week and all my curtains are getting closed early on. Soon be Christmas

ok, must dash - showers to have and bits to collect before the mad rush this morning. Have a good day everyone and ((hugs)) all round

I had this a couple of years ago, when i heard myself say to DS "pick your feet up, your scuffing your shoes!!!" Took me back a few years!!!!!
  • Hi all! Hugs to those not feeling well. It's a fabulous sunny day here so there's a chance that the washing which has been on the line for three days might eventually dry today :rotfl:

DD22 is coming home from uni for the weekend so will have to dash out to the supermarket in a moment to stock up on chicken and veggies so I can treat her to a home cooked roast dinner tomorrow (it was a last minute decision otherwise I would of course have already stocked up my freezer in anticipation :p )

Going to whip up a couple of batches of muffins in a moment, so that she can take some back up with her tomorrow. Also must put the yogurt maker on before my starter batch goes nasty again :o Might also make DD one of my delicious seedy loaves to keep her going next week too. Hmm, maybe I'd better get off here and go and have my shower.......

    Breakfast: HM muffin and banana
Lunch: Cold salmon and potato salad
Dinner: Not sure, may persuade OH to treat his beloved and his daughter to a meal out somewhere???

Have a lovely day, everyone! Enjoy the sun, those of us who have it!

    Morning everyone

I've been awake for a while, but didn't want to get out of bed. It was so toasty in there and so cold out. I can't wait to have the baby, and get back into my thermal fleecy PJs. I'm certainly not buying any more now. :D

Got up to find the cat is still being sick. Not all the time, and no other illness symptoms. Or the vet couldn't find any when we had him there earlier this week. I may attempt to worm him today as DH will be around to give me a hand.

DH had a minor prang in the car yesterday. (the one he only got at the end of august). (damage to the fog light and bumper) He drove into a bollard as he tried to enter a one way street. He felt really stupid, but he is being worked way to hard in the run up to the baby, because he has told them he will take two weeks off. Basically he runs the company for his boss, and he will struggle to do it himself in that time. DH now feels guilty, so did about 14 hours on thursday and friday. No wonder his head is a mess. And he admitted to struggling to concentrate as he keeps expecting me to ring and say its now. Poor thing. I will try and take it very easy on him this weekend so he can unwind a bit. That's why i got up and left him in bed. ;)

OS this week has been using the SC twice. I made chicken curry in it the other day, and it was more like chicken stew, as it was very bland. I don't think i put enough herbs in.

i'm going to have a crack on with dismantling the office today to become the babies room. Then we have to go to my dads cousins wedding reception this evening. None of us want to go, but feel obliged to for my dads sake. Will stick my nose in for an hour and then claim fatigue. It's not like it will be a lie. I've been a bit tight and put one of my argos vouchers from shop and scan in a card. Then again, he didn't even get me a card when i got married last year. Families hey - what would we do without em.

    Enjoy your weekend everyone.

DH off to collect floor sander from hire place.

DD & DS with Granny - where they have been all night. Seems odd for them not to be here. Too quiet - I've got the radio blaring.

Day to be spent sanding floor so I'm going to but GinghamRibbons 3 bean chilli in the SC and see what happens. I know it doesn't take long in the pan but this way I can forget about it while I do other things and we won't be tempted by takeaway later. (Most of the stuff I have in the house anyway - only need some veggies).

Spilled wine on my white linen trousers last night - washed them straight away - but stain still there. Trying again. At least they're really white so if the worst comes to the worst I can use a little domestos. (I hope we don't get that far though)

    Take care every one.

    Morning all,

Great drying day today, wind has died down abit but already got one load done and another about to be hung out.:D

Spent the last two days trying to get organized with xmas pressies for the kids, have bought 30 so far (15 each) totalling £250 which I know sounds alot but it equals to just over £8 per present and the stuff I got are really fab, getting quite excited now:xmastree: Need their main ones now which I leave to O/H as there the most expensive, DS wants a new guitar and ipod and DD wants a singing machine as she puts it.. They also usually get a joint present aswell and have a feeling O/H will come home with a Xbox 360:eek: only because he fancies one.

Loads to do in the garden today, I will be out sweeping and collecting whislt O/H will be attacking with the chainsaw cutting everything back ready for winter.

Lunch: HM Leek & pot soup with crusty rolls
Dinner: HM chicken curry & rice & garlic bread

Have a lovely day & enjoy the sun if you have it.
    Take care
