    Morning everyone

Just a quick post as I am hoping to leave the house earlier this morning as I need to tackle a set of roadworks twice before getting to work

Tonights plans are to wash a load of towels. Most probably will get tumble dried. Even underwear just now is taking two days to dry so heaven knows how long heavy towels would take.

I have a new manager at work who has set us all (unrealistic) targets and yesterday was constantly checking up on us so I have that again to look forward to today

Have a great day folks :D

Didnt get the chance to post yesterday. Today is another w*** day. DD is off to SIL this morning then shes being dropped with grandma this afternoon. The SC is on already with a stew in it, does anybody else think that the house feels warmer when you come home to the smell of cooking? Tonight I've got some ironing to do then it another early night, cant seem to get enough sleep at the moment.

    Have a good day everyone

Got to take little one to docs this morning as it looks like she's got impetigo  . Had a disasterous meal out last night, sent the starters back, then had to send 5 main courses back as they were cold, called for the manager who cried when I told her why we wouldn't be paying the bill.....she said they'd had 7 complaints that evening alone, not my problem! Decided to come home via the chinese, it was closed, so inlaws and DH got indian instead - I'm not an indian lover so had a cup of tea and a biscuit...but by then I was so fuming that I didn't care.

OS wise today - ironing, something in the SC and a clear out of my wardrobe, a good clean of the shelves and steam clean the nooks and crannies (I've promised to throw at least 3 pairs of old shoes out too.....do his count? lol)

Hope you all have a great day.

    Good morning everyone,

Im still in the non sleepers club, not sure whether its worth lying there trying to sleep (and at least getting some rest) or getting up and seeing if that works. Ive tried reading, milky drinks, warm baths, alcohol, ive even had some sleeping pills that didnt work!!!!! Any other ideas????
Anyway, im up, showered and dressed now, just one little one today, and she is at nursery this morning, so i have 2 1/2 hours to pop into Plymouth and do some more christmas shopping!!!! It will be a rush, but will be a lot easier (and quicker) on my own.
Right, little one is here, and i still havnt made the packed lunches, so better get on.
Hope everyone has a lovely day
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Kiwi - ((HUGS)) to you, and hope to see you posting soon as well xx

    Good morning everyone!

Well, the washing is done & out on the line. Actually I had started by putting it in the TD, but then the clouds blew away, so I hauled it out quick & put it on the line.
Need to make some bread today, as I am completely out - not even an "emergency" loaf left in the freezer.

DS's first assignment for his English IGCSE went off to the correspondence school in the post yesterday, so when it is marked we should get some feedback of how he is doing.

    Have a good day, everyone!

    Morning all.

Another good night fro me. Bf complained that he was aching adn sore when he come in adn figured he'd just hurt his back. He went in bath came out and fell asleep on the couch , anyway woke him to put him in bed, both went to bed and he was burning hot, couldnt cutch him he was that hot but it hurt to touch him, so last ngith was full of lots of huffign and puffing form himand me worryign that he was really bad. He doesnt seem marvellous this mornign but hes still hot. btu Ben had the same thing a few ngihts ago so think it is just some bug. please god i dont want it!!!!! I dont have time to be ill!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyway plan for today is Baking and lots of it.

I am aiming to make :
fairy cakes (have a harry potter lot to use up)
    victoria sponge cake
    apple pie
    apple crumble
    raisin biscuits
and if ive got time some jam tarts

plus im hoping to make a shepherds pie for tea. I hate having the oven on for one dish so i plan to cram it full to the brim so i can get lots of baking done at once and no nagging for cake from bf and little one ( whos a mischief so must make sure i put everything out of little hand reach as he'll eat them all before i can make the icing,

so thats the plan for today. Also have lots of washign to get doen too so i dare say WM will be on a fair bit today and i think i might have to end up using TD today to get some of it dried or putting the central heating on. Its not nice enough outside to dry clothes out there adn my airer is full already and its taking donkeys years to dry. Am going to hang a few thins round the shower curtain rail today though (havea sock drier thing) and the bathroom always seems to get hot if the central heating is on so airer might go in their too if i can find somewhere to put it.

plus need to bleed the radiators as havent had the heating on sicne february and it was dodgy then.

    so plan

    a) baking
    b)washing
    c)radiators
    d)drying
    e) make rice bags at soem point too

ok im off got a busy day again. going to give little one breakfast, get bf up and put first load of washing on

    love
    Sam

Just learned that Hugh FW is coming back on our screens next week: Clucking Disgusting (there's a trailer in that link)
.... Each week he is inviting a different group of fast food loving, urban dwellers to spend a week at our River Cottage HQ. Hugh's mission, of course, is to change their ways forever.
The first show takes a group of chicken-lovers living off takeaways and cheap supermarket chicken. Unafraid to use shock tactics Hugh exposes the gang to the full horrors of factory poultry farms in the hope that they will embrace the free range alternative. So he asks them to care for the River Cottage poultry flock, bond with the birds and at the end of the week, make them dinner. But will he succeed?

Think it will make interesting viewing for us OS'ers ;)

Also, there's an interesting thread elsewhere on MSE: "Forgetful Gardener" which highlights another useful website for OS'ers :D:D
