Penny Pincher, it all sounds really rotten for you, it sounds like you have a lovely little family though.
I have managed to get myself completely worked up at the moment. I posted a thread yesterday on the families board and have got myself in a bit of a state, so much so that I drove into the back of someone this morning. Luckily it was in really slow traffic and there was no damage to her car but I feel like such an idiot  . She was really nice about it but I just lost my train of thought and turned round to tell dd to stop banging her magazine against the back of the seat and boom! I went into the back of the lady in front, how stupid is that....
I am so worked up inside about things (son's school think he has adhd) and I am not even going to tell oh about the car because he too is haveng a really bad time (at work). Anyway I am going try and find a speech and language therapist this morning as it might be something to either take further or eliminate with my son.
O.S wise, I'm not sure.....have stuff to do but will probably end up putting it off. I have 20 ebay parcels that have to be posted by this afternoon so that will take me a few hours. I probably need a good walk in the fresh air too.
Hugs to all that need them0 -

PP - Sorry to read about your night/morning((hugs))
re: dd and the buses ... any chance that on one of your better days, dd and dh can do a 'practise' run with the buses, say at a weekend or the next Bake Day? I'm sure with a practise run or two, not only will she grow in confidence, but you will too, so on those days like today, it will be one less worry for you?
tap - hope your boiler man is prompt!
kiwichick - thinking of you and sending loads of posi-vibes your way ((hugs))
sammy_kaye18 - sounds like you have a full baking day ahead ..
.. ... all over to sammy's for elevenses(well, you'll need some OS tasters, won't you?
Time I turned of the computer and got on - all this sidetracking is no good!

Morning all!
Ive decided to get my computer calendar out today and fit in the jobs into hourly slots as I did last week because I managed to get so much done, but realised id put everything in on Wednesday, so ive got today 'off'. Woohoo! Ive decided the order of the day is - go and take a shower and get dressed, get a bus into town and get a haircut, have a little browse and drop in on a friend in my old branch. On the way back ill get off at the stop right by the library and pick up my registration card, and choose a couple of books.
Then im going to come home and have a whip round tidy up and then sit on my bum and relax with a nice book, and apply for jobs (Thanks Snowy for yesterdays kick up the bum - I find job hunting awful and I know i need to get it together and get out of there! Thank you, I wont let you down!)
See you later folks! Hope you all have a good day!

Good morning OSers *waving*
Well, in some ways it feels like back to reality for me. I've been so focused on party and decorating etc etc that for the first time in ages it feels like a normal regular day, kinda odd
Anyway OS stuff to do tonight after w**k is look at what food I have and find ways of using it before it goes off - need to make soup and sausage casserole and get those frozen. I have a load of cheese in the fridge and don't want to keep eating cheese butties so need some recipes for blue cheese stuff that can hopefully be frozen. Then I'll be putting my feet up and doing nothing, I feel burnt out.
Big hugs to PennyPincher and anyone else who needs them, the insomniacs have my sympathy. And a wonderful OS day to the rest of you xxxComps £2016 in 2016 - 1 wins = £530 26.2%

Morning all,
Blowing a right gale here today, nearly got sweeped off my feet several times whilst taking DD to school and the forecast for tomorrow is frost
Halloween party tonight, chilli already in SC, so later this afternoon will just need to bung the jackets in the oven and cook the sauages, heat up the pies and put on the peas and plate up the cold stuff which is made and in the fridge. O/H will make the adult punch when he returns home from work. We have been busy making our costumes, me - devil, O/H - frankinstein, DS - corpse and DD - batgirl and I must say they look rather good to say I'm not a sewer.:o
Have a lovely day and scary night:eek:
Take care

Morning all ....
Well, today my DD is 3
She has gone to playgroup this morning, for everyone to make a fuss of her, then this afternoon's activities will be dependant on the courier! If her bike turns up we will be going out and practicing (fingers crossed the weather isn't too wet, LOL) otherwise (and more likely) we will be going to Enginuity, which is a techie museum full of interactive stuff for kids and adults (not been before but friends have raved about it).
DH is going to give blood this evening, he's been saying he's going to do it for the 12yrs I've known him .... but he's now registered and psyched up (and w/o a cold!) So a big cheer for him
sammy_kaye18 - sounds like yours is definitely the place to visit for afternoon tea and cake
Right, bills to pay .... ciao for now!GC - March 2024 -0 -
Morning all! :grouphug: to all, especially Penny Pincher.
Beautiful morning here, wish I wasn't quite so efficient as I have no washing to do :rotfl: I bet it's raining by the time I have another load ready to go.
Still not feeling the best, just hoping the antibiotics are doing their job slowly. Just been to the dentist for a check up, only one repair to a broken filling needed, phew.
Not doing much today, think I did a bit too much yesterday and I need to rest up a bit I think.
Have a good day everyone
