Its the first day of my 'new life'. So to speak. Yes I still woke up at the appropriate time ready to 'go to work' except as I'm now waiting for bean to appear there was no need. Even got fidgety when the time for me to leave the house passed.
Have taken the car to be serviced. Didn't really need doing for another couple of weeks, but didn't fancy having to do it when I'm 38-39 weeks pregnant. Besides, this way I know that the car is okay and won't go weird on us when we need it.
Have finally started to pack my hospital bags too. OH gave me a subtle hint this morning by dumping everything in the lounge. Will finish that off later. I need to go through all the baby stuff and give it a wash. Suppose that should be my next job really.
Washing up needs to be done (along with tidying the kitchen), need to sort out a load for the washing machine, and am intending to put the breadmaker on at some point.
However, right now I'm taking things easy with the excuse that I'm slowly getting use to things.Baby Year 1: Oh dear...on the move
Lily contracted Strep B Meningitis Dec 2006  Now seemingly a normal little monster.
Love to my two angels that I will never forget.0 -

An early start this morning, cooked bacon Tommys and scrambled egg for breakfast, OH just gone out for a couple of hours, in my dressing gown reading the DT.
Big Tesco shop this aft. along with a visit to the library and the chemist to pick up a script.
A bit dull here, yesterday was a lovely day, sunny but cold, I love those sort of days the air, even in this scrffy hole, is so much cleaner.
Upstairs clean this morning once I get myself into my clothes..... OH brought the cleaner upstiars before he went, bless, its quite heavy........ I find it easier to caryy it down.
Right need to make a couple of phone calls................. see ya'll...........
:j good luck to those of you starting new jobs today:jWas 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -

Was at Stepson 2 this weekend. Spent some time with Grandchildren and by the end of the visit they were getting used to us. They don't see much of us as they live in Staffs and we live in the West Country!!!

Penny pincher - you have a cleaner - how wonderful, I used to have one but need to save the £15 per week these days so the house is cleaned by me, boo hoo.
I have sold 10 things on EBay some have paid and one in cash so will send parcel today. Have found a box full of emergency Xmas pressies from last year in the top of my wardrobe, will put these on EBay in a couple of days as I hear that Monday Morning is not a good lisiting time!
I have a copy of Martin's book that I am afraid I do not find very helpful, have had more help from Jane Furnivals Mr Thrifty, so if anyone wants to PM me for a copy for their own use, not to resell or pass on then I will gladly send it to them.

Hi all :hello:
:grouphug: to those in need
Seems minor in comparison, but after an appalling weekend at home have decided to redouble efforts to save my deposit and get out. Any help would be appreciated, as I'm at my wits end

Apart from the OS board, i love the 'mortgage free wanabee' board, there is a thread on there about a 'mortgage pig', but this concept can be used for savings as well as paying the mortgage off!!!! So could be a good idea to have a shifty over there!!!!0 -

:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: to every1 (even to those who doesnt need 1 its always nice to get a hug!!!)
today, dd is off school (goes back tmz) so dd, ds n me are off to parkgate to get my xmas pressy from dh. (mem upgrade 4 pc.... thinkin about it, i could do with one 4 me.... :rotfl: ). the thought of tackling parkgate doesnt excite me as its just over 1/2 hour on a dirty, old, non pushchair access bus. so i gotta put up with ds bouncing all over the place.   he does walk but its the 2 year old 'bull in a china shop' effect that makes struggling with a pushchair seem easy. ds is very boisterous and is the typical 'glad he's not mine' scenario when we're out! dd will help me on & off the bus with him so thats why im goin today instead of later in the week.
so this morning im gona get tidied up n get kids fed before goin out, so when i get back in all frazzled i'll not have much to do!does my bum look big in this sig?0 -
