    Morning folks

Just getting ready for work but really don't want to leave the house as it is so bleak and miserable. My bed is calling me back to it ;)

We got home last night from our caravan weekend. Have already done a load of washing :j

When we were away we went to visit one of hubby's old friends who lives quite near to where we were. I have only met him a few times but he seems a really nice guy. However he has a few big dogs and I am not much of an animal lover and don't like dogs jumping and slobbering over me.

No plans for tonight as yet. Everything was done in the house before we went away so just a quick tidy up will do.

    Must dash

    Have a great day :D

    Morning everyone

    :grouphug: to everyone especially mirakl

Back at work for my first of five weeks of 5.30am starts. Working loads this week. Tonight I'm staying over night in one of the most haunted places in Sussex_pale_ Three of us are going, and will broadcast live from there in the morning. I might not get on here tomorrow, as when I've finished that, I'm off to a photo call, then helping out with another show at a pub:beer: before picking up sis, heading to a footy club to do some interviews then on to Halloween party. I'm going to be whacked!!!!

Think lots of caffine is the way through the next few days!!!

    Hope everyone's ok

((mrs_mix)) Enjoy your shopping, hope your sausages are soon chipilata's!!
    Great news from yesterday's match .... WE WON!!!! :j 3 -1 :T We won, 3-1!! We won, 3 -1; 3 -1 !!! :j
Today, d12yo is off to spend it with a friend after his successful win yesterday (3-1!! :D )
I get d11yo aaaaaalllllll to myself for the day :j :D Doesn't happen often, so I shall be giving him the lead and letting him decide what happens, when! He must accept though that I *do* need to go to the library today, come what may! :naughty:;) I think making Jack O'Lanterns will be on the list using his free pumpkin :)
Was meant to be taking a meal over to friends today, but, there's been a change of plan, so now it'll be Wednesday :)
Need to put in an online order, so need to do a bit of searching to make sure I get the right quality, right price for what I need. But I also need to hook up some new equipment on the PC and I've avoided it the past couple of days. If you don't hear from me for more than 48hrs, send out the search party because it will mean I'm all hooked up wrong ;)
Have a good Monday, ((hugs)) to all.

PS: Good luck tonight, scuzz ( ) ;)

    Make lovely weetabix cake. Yummm

    ((hugs)) Mirakl.

Well, this w.e has been busy in the house of Zed's.

It's DD's birthday tomorrow, so we had a little birthday tea for her on Saturday with both grandma's. She enjoyed it :)

She will be the grand age of 3! (and I kinda hope her bike turns up or we're in trouble!)

Sat morning was spent making her cake, and supervising grandma and DD cutting biscuits and decorating them with icing ... I'm not sure which one had more fun, but much hilarity ensued :rotfl: . So now we have lots of halloween biscuits (owls, witches, bats, pumpkins)

DH has carved the 2 pumpkins, is going to do one more tonight :)

Sunday was spent in the garden, yesterday was beautifully warm and sunny. It wasn't sunny enough to dry the 4 loads of washing, but it helped, so it's now all hanging on airers in the utility room. I splashed out on one of those wooden ceiling airers the other year, it's ace.

I scrubbed the decking down, and DD and I washed all the plant pots (that took 2hrs!!!). DH has almost finished constructing my greenhouse :j :j .

My alpine strawberry plants have a load of strawberries on them, surely that's not right?! My fuchsia's are looking wonderful too :)

Last night DH started to attack the hall wall, so now we have one wall back to brick  . It needs to be re-pointed, re-tarred, painted, then new insulated plasterboard put up. Yep, that's right, this week DH and I have the week off to attempt to do the hall. I would say it's the largest room in the house walls wise. So, cleaning will be at a minimum, food will be quick and easy (methinks SC will be making an almost daily appearance!).

We had the steak and mushroom suet pudding on Friday, none made it for the freezer (we did have it Sat night as well though!). At the same time we made colcannon, and made enough for the freezer ... that is, enough for 6 more meals!!

Next thing I want to try with the sack of spuds we bought, is to partially prep some roast spuds .... if I peel 'em, par boil them, shake them, then freeze them, do you think that work? Would I cook them from frozen?

Right, I've wittered long enough, time to venture in to the frozen kitchen and put the kettle on.....

Snowy - Good luck today! Fingers crossed that everyone will be nice for you!

Pinkwinged - Ill also keep my fingers crossed for Tilly for you!

    Well, morning all!

This extra hour in bed really did me a favour, I feel much better for the extra hour sleep. Got to go to w*** today unfortunately but at least im off tomorrow and wednesday. I intend to use the days for solely sewing, going to the library (which im really looking forward to as ive just joined) and job hunting, and maybe a quick flylady style clean of the house.

Ive got to stay late at work tonight for a 'staff meeting' which is a bit of a pain, but I do believe im getting fed so at least it cuts out a job when I get home! Aside from that there really isnt much to say except have a good day all!

I hope everyone has a really nice day.
