Morning all and welcome to newbies:wave: .
I also like it when the clocks go back. I'm a very early riser as I sleep very badly and its lovely to see the sun coming up a bit sooner.
I'm very excited today as I asked for a breadmaker on Freecycle and a lovely lady emailed me the next day to offer me one:j. I have no idea what make or size it is as I got so excited I forgot to ask. Think its a bit of a cheek anyway to quiz someone who is giving something to me for free. We are going to collect it this afternoon so I'll let you know what its like. Now I must offer something on Freecycle to balance the Karma!
Dinner tonight is lovely joint of beef rib on the bone with all the trimmings. We are having my Oh's Mum over for dinner. She is such a lovely lady but sadly is becoming very confused and her short-term memory has gone. I'm preparing myself for answering the same question many, many, many times but I don't mind as I love her dearly.
I hope you all have a lovely Sunday.

Morning All especially newbies
At work yet again. I really think I might as well move in here. It would be much cheaper!!!
Plans today are to pull up some beetroot to give to work colleague tomorrow. Why we grow it when noone eats it is beyond me. Mum likes it one way, Nan another and I hate it. So Mum won't do anything with it as she's not doing two variations. Fail to see the point!! Our onions were a disaster this year thanks to the weather. Think we salvaged about 4 which we can pickle. Out potatoes failed to do anything too. Useless year crop wise. Althought the strawberries have gone mad and are trying to grow fruit now
Planning on getting some extra sleep this afternoon, as I'm back on the early shift now and have lots of evening appointments so will be ooober tired.
Think we have beef for dinner with carrots, pots and broccoli
Hope everyone's okComping, Clicking & Saving for Change0 -
Good morning everyone and welcome if you are new to the OS thread,
Well, I've managed to sneak onto the computer under the guise of looking for a new sink! (as if!) and OH is laying in. I had forgot about the clocks too and thanks to my computer, I realised and how nice it feels to have an extra hour,(for today at least.)
Again, not too much OS going on in the house, apart from the usual wm and cleaning.
Taking my mum and her OH out for Sunday lunch at a wonderful carvery that only charged £4.99 for all the trimmings. Suppose I'll have to buy drinks for them too, though - the pub usually let us have a jug of iced water, all my girls always ask for water at the pub! (bringing them up the moneysaving way - if you can get tap water, anyway!) So I'm looking forward to that.
I can't believe my wonderful week off is at an end, and I'm back to School tomorrow - we're having an inspection in the foundation stage on Tuesday, not looking forward to that, but we'll get through it. May not be able to post until the afternoons (unless by some miracle, we're all up and ready to get out the house!)
Hope you all have a really great Sunday and a lovely week.If you don't have something nice to say don't bother saying anything at all.0 -
Morning All
Did quite well with the clock change, kept DD up till 7.30 and she slept till 7.30 this morning. Its supposed to be my lie in but I'm wide awake proberbly as I was in bed for 10pm. Not sure what going on I cant keep my eyes open at night at the moment.
Plan for the day is toy sorting and DIY. At least half the toys have got to leave this house before anymore arrive in December (Its DD birthday at the begining and then Xmas). Freecycle may be coming in handy today I think.
Might nip up to the retail park later that has a Next on it, I'm still on a hunt for a coat for DD the one I was given DH thinks is foul and says we are not yet to poor to buy our child a decent coat.
Have a good day everyoneSorting my life out one day at a time0 -
Good morning everyone,
Another one who loves the clocks going back, wish they would leave it like this now, i hate it when they go back forwards and we lose an hour!!!!
Just sat here having a cuppa and some biscuits that i found in the cupboard yesterday and then im going to put the roast lamb on for lunch. Apart from that, i havnt got any plans for today, apart from vegging out with the children!!!! We have strictly come dancing to watch (taped from last night) but no other plans at the moment.
Right, off to do something!!!! Hope everyone has a lovely day
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -
Morning all! Lovely sunny day here so Im going to get lots of washing done as well as clean the car inside and out. M&S were selling their chickens at half price yesterday so thats what we're having for dinner (along with hm stuffing). £3.50 instead of £7 and it says on it "guaranteed succulent"! Yum!
Had my birthday Friday and went out for a meal at a local restaurant owned by a Spanish guy. The meal was lovely and enjoyed the Spanish music playing in the background. The owner came and sang to me too and he had a lovely voice!
Just took a lovely loaf out the BM and had some toast from it and will make banana bread later as well as HM rice pudding for the OH. We will be putting weight on at this rate!
Have a happy day and welcome to the newbies!0 -

Morning!
Lillibet - he he, thats funny!
I was going to have a whinge about waking up late, (late night last night) but then I remembered the clocks have gone back! Yippee!! I joined the library online last night (I didnt know you could do that!) as ive recently got back into reading in a big way. I think my degree put me off it and now I know that reading is fun again, so im going to go to local library on Tuesday and get a couple of books out.
Plans for today are fairly limited, Im determined to get the cushions sewn up today, a bit of ironing and a bit of general tidying up. Then I think ill pop a DVD on while OH is at work and have a relax for a while.
Anyway, hope everyone has a great day!
