    Hello again,

Well, back from DSs football match (and yes, it was a very cold muddy field, so WM now on!!!) and not only did his team win (and they were playing the team that won the league last year!!) but DS scored the only goal of the match!!!! Very proud mummy now.
As we are now back home (and all i have done this morning is cough) i have locked the door, and we are staying home until Monday, and tomorrow im having an extra hour in bed (i love it when the clocks go back!)
Right, going to get the pizza dough in the BM, we've had an early lunch (bacon rolls and they were delicious) and might see if DD would like to help make some cakes in a minute, just going to finish my cuppa and have a little bit more of a browse.
Welcome to all the newbies, hope you will enjoy being here!!!!
    Have a great afternoon,
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

dlb - yeah your DS too!!!! 18_3_106.gif
  • Hi, DLB and Catowen, after a lean patch in the last few footie games, DS's team won 7-0! That'll be brill for our goal difference.

DD's friend left at 11 a.m. and I have made breakfast muffins from the recipe in Tightwad gazette.

As I have not made them for ages - they were very much appreciated - the word "scrumptious" was used!

Washing is on the line, dishwasher is on and books sold through Amazon have been posted.

DH will give me a lift to York so I can get envelopes for Amazon and look for Christmas pressies.

Huge box of 23 books arrived yesterday from the Book People so have stashed them away for Christmas.

Hugs to everybody and welcome to new people as well.

    Afternoon everyone.

and you new guys - hello

Kids are painting with dad - well will be for 5 mins anyway.

Been to sainsbugs and grabbed a few bargains. Only had one child with me (the little one) so that was much easier.

DH managed to get second hand wing mirror for car from scrappie - so that's a bit cheaper than we thought it would be. Just need to get someone to fit it.

Off to hopefully buy new dining room table and chairs today - I hope the offer is still on.

    HM soup for lunch
Baked potato and salad for dinner for me. Meatballs and pasta for everyone else (Nigella's meatballs - the star meal in our house, have to have them at least every other saturday)

    take care everyone

(ooh ooh - just noticed - Ive got 2 stars now! wa hay!

    morning OSers...

didn't get much done yesterday.. had a bit of a wobbly moment.. (ok wobbly hour) with OH, mostly over money (or lack of) and despair.. pulled myself together though, but decided to hang the diet (its mostly being torn between healthy eating and finances and christmas that is causing the problem - its quite hard to eat healthy & save money once you get past a certain point) last night and made a syryp and cherry sponge pud in the microwave and curled up to watch a video with OH, ate half of it and ended up feeling thoroughly sick. which serves me right i suppose.

didn't help either that the dog spent last night under my feet cos of the fireworks which the local idiots were letting off right outside our garden gate... one of them even knocked on our door and asked if he could have back the firework that "someone" (he "didn't see who", yeah, right) had tossed through the communal letter box (we live in a block of flats) - the second time this has happened. The first time it was lit.. created a mess with the smoke...

to top it all off didn't sleep well last night, we're trying for children but had a bad dream that i was pregnant but having a miscarriage. not pleasant and i woke up crying. i hate that. takes me ages to get going after a dream like that.

today's plans: bacon and egg butties with home made bread (to keep OH happy, our regular saturday morning breakfast LOL) first, then i've got so much to do that i;m not sure where to start. lets see....

    - christmas cake - huge pile of ironing - bath - listing/photographing/weighing stuff to go on ebay - christmas pressies to make - christmas cards to make - rug to sew the non-slip-underside to - frozen pizza for dinner (before you say not very OS, it isn't, but i can't make two pizzas for less than £2 and thats what these two cost, £1 each) dusting, general tidying up and hoovering... its never ending. i feel tired just thinking about it..

so ... see where we are by tonight.. laters, folks -

    keth
    xx
  • Hello to all oldies and newbies,
Very busy day - trying to load the car for the skip (old loo is going- bye, bye!) DH decided now is the right time to cut down all the bushes (!!) so he is busy at work with the secateurs (spelling??) and after the sleepover (no.2) I am still shattered, as are the kids - serves them right!

We now have heating, but now there is a small leak by the hot water pump!! and the new loo still leaks slightly. I think I am hoping they will stop all by themselves (I wish).

I must get this now messy house back into some order before brother-in-law comes later for his daughter. Oh well, hope everyone has a good day, see you all later xx

    Hello everyone

Just got into work on my "day off"!!! Off to watch the football today - yawn. Working for two stations, so I can cut myself in two. Then when the match is finished, I get to come back and chop up all the interviews and send them all over the place, before returning to work tomorrow

At least coming in today means I get an extra day of daily clicks on cashback sites. See every cloud has a silver lining!!!:D

Football pitch is about 5 minutes walk away, think I should get there about half hour before kick off. At least I'm getting some fresh air.

    Hope everyone's ok

am back. still feel like death :( still only whispering too. have got full pot of tea and a piece of HM cake next to me though :)

Turkey is out of the freezer for tomorrow, BM has just gone on and I've sort of half heartedly tidied the kitchen. Anything else can wait. Will probably make spag bol for tea on the gounds that's it's easy and doesn't involve much effort (and I can rest my head on the worktop at the same time LOL)

Tonight I shall mainly be .... drinking tea!! :rotfl:

((hugs)) all round but be gentle please, I'm still VERY delicate

Oh well, good intentions & all that.......... my plan for this aft (DH is a work) was to have a massive pre-holiday tidy up / marathon ironing session, but I see it's already half past two & I've succumbed to the MSE distraction!
Was up early (7:30) to watch the rugby (GB V NZ), bacon sarnies at half time & off to the gym after the game. Had some smoked salmon that needed eating, so we had a yummy creamy salmon pasta for lunch. To save fighting with DH over the solitary sirloin steak in the freezer, I've decided to have it myself for dinner whilst he's at w*rk!! :shhh:

Right off to make a start on the kitchen. Hugs to all, especially Queenie on the quail loss.
