you must be utterly exhausted? you should be paid for any over time, ie anything over your contracted hours, if not they have to give u time of in lieu.
how many hours will you of worked by the end of this week?
I reckon I'll have done around 60-65 hours by the end of the week, and will probably do around 75 next week
I do love my job, and I've fought so hard to get to where I am, I'm reluctant to just step out of this highly competitive career choice. If I was left to just do my hours, I'd be fine.Comping, Clicking & Saving for Change0 -

Afternoon all
A late one for me today as to be honest I've not felt like speaking to anyone today, in fact I just want to hide from the world. I was sitting here feeling very sorry for myself and I could just here my nans voice saying "you won't get anything done sat on your backside all day!" :rotfl: :rotfl:
So I've decided that I can't mope about so I'm off to clean the house from top to bottom and I'm going to make a cottage pie for dinner.
The funeral is Monday and to be honest the way I feel at the moment and all of the family arguments I'm not sure if I want to go. I know my nan would be hopping mad if she knew what was going on.
Anyway, enough from me, here's hoping you all have a productive weekend and spend times amongst the ones you love.
Take or leave the :grouphug: as neededYou laugh because I'm different - I laugh because you're all the same0 -

Scuzz - have you opted out of the Working Time Directive? If you haven't you shouldn't be working more than 48 hours a week, and there should be a break of 8 hours between when you finish work one day and start it the next IYKWIM. Sorry I'm not sure which profession you work in - but give yourself a break hun :grouphug:Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)0 -

My contract just says I'm not entitled to overtime. So guess that means I'm out of the WTD. We have no choice here. It's sign or no job. I never get a lunch break either, but they only pay me 7.5 hours a day, not 8.5, which is how long I'm here (minimum) I work in local radio.Comping, Clicking & Saving for Change0 -
Hi everyone,
Charlie is a lovely name and ds's middle name (well charles otherwise known as "Charlie boy" by his Grandad), congratulations!
I am back from a bootiful trip to my mum and Dad's in Norfolk, the children and I loved it and the weather held up o.k. I have come back with a bag full of homegrown peppers, so we will be eating peppers served with peppers on the side for the next week! Also managed to get some Aubergenes, carrots, parsley, coriander from the veggie patch and basil of which some Mum blitzed for me to make some homemade pesto. Dad offered to shoot me a couple of pheasants but I had to wimp out of those. We really had a great time and I feel very refreshed and invigorated from taking their dogs for some lovely walks in the fields.
Have a lovely weekend0
