Good morning everyone,
Had hoped for a desent nights sleep, as i pursaded DD to sleep in her own bed, but half way through the night, in she came to wake me up, keep wriggling, and then started chatting. Got told to be quiet and go to sleep, and que more wriggling and 'strange' noises. Im just not meant to sleep at night!!!!
Anyway, hopefully a quiet day today, yesterday i decided to clean my oven, and im mighty proud of the results!!!! Took me ages, but even if i say so myself, it does look clean and sparkly now!!!! If i can get myself moving later, im going to clean all the cupboards, and also make a list of everything ive got in there, really need to cut back next month so might even do a months meal plan!!!!!
Right, can hear DS moving around and little one due in the next few minutes (DD, although speaking to me when i got up, seems to have gone back to sleep, typical!!!!)
Have a lovely day everyone,
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Edited to add - Has anyone seen Kiwi Chick recently? Also, i know Bargain Rzl cant get on MSE during work now, and PP has been poorly but hope they are all ok too!!!!0 -
morning all. Still full of cold, it just seems to mornings and evenings which are the worst.
Well car failed MOT but then we knew we'd never be lucky to have it sail through. but it failed on silly things like light bulb and a small bit of welding. garage gonna do work today and give us the final price. so it should be within our mot budget which is all good stuff.
i made a gorgeous hm pizza and hm garlic bread last night. my 15 month old son loved it , 3 yr old daugther was keen tho. she picked it about, then ate 3 hm fairy cakes and 4 small fromage frais yoghurts. what a little pickle. but she is suffering with a cold as well so i'll let her off this once.
B-Crumpets
L - not sure yet
D - chicken breast wrapped in bacon with mash and veg.
enjoy your day eveyone.0 -
Good morning everyone!
Had a great day yesterday! DD and I cleaned our cars, and found a money bag with £55 in notes under the carpet in one of them!! I'll be cleaning cars more often.
Went out for a meal with friends in the evening, which was great, but didn't stay too late as most of us have w*** today.
I'm still sorting my spare room - we want to have it completely redecorated (not done since we moved in 10 years ago), so have to empty it of stuff!
Children having time with friends today, then they're having 2 friends each for tea (HM lasagne and garlic bread and salad, then jam doughnut muffins) and to sleep. DS and his friends have an important footie match tomorrow, so they need to sleep, or I'll be "well dead".
Cat, have your antibiotics kicked in, yet? Hope you're beginning to feel better.

Good morning everyone.
I've been so busy this week, I've not had time to post here, so I hope all are well.
Isn't it dark now when you get up? I'm still awake really early, planning how to fit everything into my day, thank goodness I'm organised!
The BM has been brilliant, and I gave a loaf to my Dad who was so impressed he wants one too (Xmas present maybe?)
And although we threaten to live from the freezer, it never seems to get much lower, as there is always something else to add too - like the soup I always make from the veg box, extra bread I get given from a cafe who make their own delicious olive rolls (at the end of the afternoon, they always offer me a bag full if they've any left!)
Today its:
Breakfast = Toast, HM bread with boiled egg from farm.
Lunch = ham and avocado sandwich (and the avocado is perfect)
Dinner = beef and veg casserole (OH is cooking:eek: ) Maybe that's a bit unfair, he 'knows' exactly what to do, and how to do it, but somehow, it's never quite perfect  .
So maybe I'll have to knock us up an apple crumble later.
Take care all, and have a productive day.
PS. PP I so prefer you writing w*** rather than w**k, as I can never read the latter without a giggle  (or should I say childish snigger?)0 -
Gooood Morning, Good Morning

Welcome Charlie
Take care GinghamRibbon.
Not in work this morning - and kids at grannies. So I might just be doing some flying. Do have to drop some pants off for DS though - he went down in his jammies and has all his other clothes - just forgot the pants. He could go commando?
Anyway - Don't know what's for dinner tonight - going to have to sort out meals for week. November Grocery Challenge here I come!
Going to try the weetabix cake. The weetabix brownies went down a storm.
Next doors alarm is going off and has been for the last 1/2 hour. Nothing seems to be wrong - but good grief the noise is getting to me. Why is it happening when I'm in the house?
Better go - got an underwear delivery to make.

Morning All
Welcome to little Charlie and well done Michelle.
Yesterday turned into a disaster, the garage had a look at the car said the problem wasnt covered in the warrenty and told us it would cost £700 to fix. No thank-you took it to our local garage who said it would be £150 its a none urgent problem so I'll leave it until I've saved up the cash.
Have to get into serious housework mode this morning, a friend is coming at lunchtime and I would like the house clean and tidy before then. Later on DD is having her pneumococal jab as part of the catch-up program, not looking forward to that but it has to be done. I've got the Calpol on standby as I've heard on the grapevine it can cause temperature spikes.
Have a good day everyone.
PS. I think I have a budding moneysaver on my hands, DD keeps emptying my purse and putting the money in her moneybox. :rotfl:Sorting my life out one day at a time0 -
Hey everyone...
This is my first time on this thread (but I've been reading it for a bit, you all have such interesting lives!)
I'm at work today, but my boss (whom I share an office with) is out most of the day - and its dress down day for Breast Cancer charities, so all in all not bad for a day at w***!!!
You all encouraged me to bake bread last weekend for packed lunches and the like. Went down a storm, so guess what I'm doing tomorrow...

Good morning everyone :j
After my busy day at work yesterday, I am going to gut my kitchen - with the help/hinderence of DDI can't believe it's November next week  That means it's nearly Xmas and I am so unprepared - I have been buying in bits and pieces over the last month - choccies etc - but I've only got 2 pressies (and one of them was a freebie - shush don't tell
) and I've still got to sort out the booze  trouble is if I buy it in advance - will it still be here at Xmas
Have a great day everyone - (((((hugs)))))
PS Anyone seen Ticklemouse latelySquares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)0 -
Last day in the office today. I'm taking my remaining hols (3 weeks) and then I'm on maternity leave. Feels very strange and I'm not sure whether I'm excited or sad. No doubt I'll burst into tears on the drive home. But I'll worry about that when I get to that point.
Partner left a very sweet message with my stack of snacks that actually nearly set me off. Bless him.
Not sure what I'll manage Old Style today....except making sure that I have transferred all my personal documents from the office computer to my home computer. Couldn't bear to lose all of those receipes that I've collected.
So next week I will start my Old Style SAHNM (Stay At Home Nearly Mum) routine in earnest. Which begins with a car service first thing on Monday (so no lie in for me).Baby Year 1: Oh dear...on the move
Lily contracted Strep B Meningitis Dec 2006  Now seemingly a normal little monster.
Love to my two angels that I will never forget.0
