hope everyone is well and if not so well *hugs* for you :grouphug:
have had a very productive, motivated day at work -maybe it's my new vitamins
am very excited-me, my sister, my BIL, and two of my best mates have all decided to go to NYC for a week in April! We found cheap flights and have now found a lovely apartment for us all to stay in (much cheaper and more fun than a hotel). I know it's months away, but :j :j :j ! Even more fun, it will be a week before my 30th birthday so we can do fun things to celebrate my impending old age
oooh, am all giddy.:rotfl: And there's home made lentil dahl and aloo gobi for tea.0 -

I am so peeed off:mad: Just come back in and the dog has chewed through a brand new rug that was in the hallway:mad:  I shouted at him and he went for me:eek:  He needs some serious knacker chopping at the vets me thinks:rolleyes:
Apart from that I am ok. How is everyone elses day going?
Our 2 youngest dogs chew their beds up, huge holes in all their bedding, just have to chuck it and start again every so often. The older dog doesnt so I dont know why they have to ruin their lovely beds .
ageandjo you have my sympathies!
Have had a nice day at home on my own.Stsrted to paint our bedroom and hope to finish it at the weekend - a 4 day one for me:j as I've got to stop in for the plummers on Tues so have sat, sun, mon and tues off!:D
DS2 came home soaked and frozen but had had a good day at the Pioneer Centre and is now soaking in the bath with a cuppa.
Have a lovely evening folks ! xxDo what you love :happyhear0 -
Just back from town - cold and wet!!! Gotta love OH who promptly took the dripping wet brolly, bags of shopping and coat off me, handed me a towel to dry off, then sat me down with a huge mug of tea and 4 squares of aldi's cheap chocolate as a treat.. mmmmmmmmmm...
did get some good stuff in town tho: cashmere/wool material mix, to make handwarmers with, some rug edging to edge off the end cuts of tough material that i'm gonna make rugs out of, which i got very cheaply (the material i mean), the edging cost me about £4, which is ok for 2 rugs - total cost £8. also got some more machine needles and ribbon and green felt for xmas stuff, and some stuffing for my sausage for the front door.
also got some sewing stuff to fill out the emergency kits i've made, spectacle cleaning kit for dad, bike pump and emergency repair kit for the OH, pound coin "replacements" for trollys for mum and gran, some sharp knife thingies for dad, and some other stuff, all from the pound shop, so happy with that.
now i just gotta settle down and make everything! (and do dinner)

Hellooo!:hello: (just using someone elses connection so havent got long)
Just wanted to say hello to all my OS buddies and ((Hugs)) to those having a difficult time.
Got my work computer finally sorted out today (thank god) I was on the phone all day - finished at 6pm:eek: - was so shattered when i got home just had tea and went to sleep. Now ive just got to get boss to put internet on when we get back from Dubai. Ive still not got my home internet sorted out with talk talk so that will now have to wait until i come back in 2 weeks.
you never know i might have my Go Live package waiting when i come back:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: then again Pigs Might Fly!!:p
Think ive got most things sorted out for trip - money, insurance, passports, ironing done, etc, Factor 5000!!! - just got to go and pack in a minute. havent got a clue what to take as ive got to take work clothes, but the weather forecast is 90! dont fancy wearing suits in that heat! and with my footballers knees and white pasty old mans legs I dont fancy wearing a skirt or dress either:rotfl:
forecast for dubai is errmmm sun, sun, sun, oh no partly cloudy! then more sun:rotfl: (i can honestly say i wont be sorry to see the back of this wet weather for awhile!)
If I get time to get on internet whilst out there I will try and post.
Gotta go now, take care all, and see you all when I get back.
Bye for now.....:D0 -
Shez, have a lovely time in Dubai!!!! Think of us back here in the rain :rolleyes:0

:hello: Evening everyone :hello:
Sorry I haven't posted recently. I'm really down in the dumps about work etc (and I'm not even there this week!!!) and I'm trying to work out what to do. Doesn't help that we need the money, especially as we've put in an offer (and it's been accepted) on another house. Fingers crossed that this one goes ahead for once.
I've been to the nasty dentist today and then met up with a friend who I did my teacher training with. We sat chatting in the pub for 5 hours  It was all soft drinks too.
Tonight, DH and I are popping to the Boots Christmas Shopping evening in our local Boots. You get 1000 (!!!) extra points for every £50 you spend. We normally get lots of presents from Boots, and they're 3 for 2 on pressies... Oh, and they've had snacks and nibbles in the past......
Better go for now, but thought I'd better "check in".

Evening, hugs to all that need them
Ds1 had his flu jab today, his arm is a bit tender from it though, dh at opticians yesterday, had to have orange dye put in as he had said there is a lot of dust at his work from the barley that he is working with at mo, and it gets through the eye protection and is affecting his eyes! everything fine, he is getting new glasses tomorrow.
He was originally meant to be on backshift next week but his boss and asked him to do nights instead! he is so looking forward to that!:rotfl: he will have to work an extra hour on sunday as the clocks go back while he is working!:rotfl: :rotfl:
Bm on last night, surprisingly there is still bread left! tomorrow kids getting haircut, lo gets new shoes, and weekly shop in tesco, just off to make a menu planner for the week.
