    Morning all!

Hugs to Peem :grouphug: - I had a friend at work who had miscarried a baby and got quite upset on the anniversaries too. What a difficult time for you.

Got wm on and BM has already brought forth a loaf. Its getting chilly now so I must resign myself to the fact that summer is over. :( Ive got to turn some new trousers up today (I hate being short, its such a pain to buy clothes!) as its my birthday on Friday and I want to wear them as we're going out for a meal. May have to buy some cotton in the right colour though.

Can't decide whether to have HM chilli for tea or pork chops with HM stuffing. Decisions, decisions!

Put the whites on while my toast was grilling and now having a little time on here while I eat it

Chook and quails done. Cat fed. Boys away til tomorrow morning, so now I can get on with moving furniture upstairs.

Not sure what the weather is doing today, but the washing will be dried on airer's across the bath and in the airing cupboard!

((hugs)) to those who need/want them.

    Have a wicked Wednesday

  • Morning all.
Oh, my, everyone. This week was supposed to be getting better!
(((peem))) (((JackieO))) Thinking of you xx
Nix - hope your arm doesn't hurt too much
Cat, Jcr16 and LMLOD - hope the colds go really soon.
Mrs. mix and Penny - hope the pain relief gets sorted soon.
JW1096 - hope finances get sorted quickly, just use up your stockcupboard and stuff in the freezer.
Hope everybody else feels okay xxxx and ((())) to anyone who needs them.

Snowy Owl - thanks for the tip, I think you're right - but I'm not too worried about the sink at the moment, toilet is in the living room at the mo, (hope none of the kids use it!) and hopefully will be fitted today along with the plumber having another look at my weird central heating system. He's a friend of my mum's BF so hopefully his charges won't be through the roof - but I haven't asked him how much, yet!!!

Will definately sort out my bedroom today, only mine and DD1 & DD3(who share) bedroom to go now then the house is sorted, ready for me to go back to work and to get all messy again! I really hope we can keep on top of it this time!

I've promised kids if house is sorted, that we will go out tomorrow! So i am on a timer!

Slow cooker is having a well earned rest today (as I don't have anything defrosted to stick in it!) so will be back to a fast out-the-freezer meal tonight. If I had been clever and bought a bigger SC I could have frozen left over meals, but OH has other ideas and the lot goes xx Never mind, at least its easy!

I am definately making a loaf today in my BM, a malted brown one (ready made mix! so easy!) as I'm running out of bread now and I didn't make one yesterday! My girls asked if they can bake as part of their secret club (they've made up a song and everything) Of course, I'll let them, I'm so pleased to see the three of them get along I'd probably agree to anything!

Hope you all have a good day xx thinking of you guys xx

Make wunderweb your new best friend! I've started using it in the past year for hem turning-up (I'm 5'2) & it makes life so much easier.

take care, we are all thinking of you
    xxxx

Morning everyone. Another wet soggy day here. WM has just finished a load so I will drape that around the house in a min.
Have both kids with me today so think I will sort out their bedrooms and give them a good tidy. They love helping me do the dusting part and then hide when the hoover comes out.

Have some friends round this afternoon so am going to bake a cake but can't decide between the weetabix cake or lemon drizzle?

Lunch will be sandwiches or cheese on toast.
Dinner will be pesto pasta for the kids and think I will make daal for me and DH. Don't have any naan bread so ill stick BM on to make dough for them. MMmm, nice hot bowl of daal on a cold wet evening.

Then I need to plough through all the Christmas ideas on here so that I can get properly organised. We don't drink alcohol (!!) so can't make my Christmas cake until closer to the big day - unless anyone knows differently?

Right, off to start the tidy up - well, after a coffee first.

    Have a good day.

    Good morning all!

A day to myself!!! Home educating doesn't often allow for such luxuries!
DS is off with Boys' Brigade, doing some conservation work, so he will come in cold, wet & hungry I expect!

Hugs to Peem & all who are feeling poorly, especially those with this rotten cough thing that's going round. DH has got it, but has gone off to work anyway, as he is the only engineer in this week.

D/w is emptied, todays washing up done (I don't use the d/w every day - depends on how much washing up I am making - today's won't be too much, so hand washing it is.)
Washing is done & mostly dried - TD once again cos of rain, but mostly on economy 7 rates.
Bread made this morning, also before cheap rate finished - I won't be able to do so much of that after next week when the clocks go back though. I did a silly thing this morning. Once the BM was on, I looked around & couldn't find the 1/4 teaspoon measure that came with the BM. I normally keep all the measures in the BM bucket so they are easily to hand when I make some bread. Obviously it hadn't been in the bucket or I'd have seen it, but where could it be? After the loaf was finished, I noticed a rather suspicious looking patch in the bottom of the bread machine when I took the bucket out....
....well, it was an interesting shape (it came out fine once the machine had cooled down) but I don't think I will be using it for measuring any more!
Incidentally my BM is a MR fastbake - Mr & Master Chipps really like the fastbake loaf, which is great if, like this morning, I have run out of bread. I can have a fresh loaf ready in about an hour (58 mins cooking time!)

Anyway, now it is time for a quick whizz round the house tidying up then I can go out to coffee morning & be sociable for an hour!

    Have a good day!

    Morning all :j

It's a thoroughly wet and miserable day here, but DH is at work and DD has gone to FIL's for the day so I am alone and left to my own devices :D

Bit of a slow start :o Haven't done anything yet apart from getting DD ready and sticking a load in the WM. Just phoned my friend in Hawaii (free with Talk Talk) so I'm in a much cheerier mood than yesterday. DH didn't apologise but he has been making *extra* special efforts in the being nice department ;)

Well I'm going to wash up, make tonights tea - Ranchero Pie - and clean the floors downstairs.

    Have a great Wednesday!
Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )
Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)

    Morning all

Damp and overcast here this morning - feels a bit on the chilly side too but I've not really had time to notice. The drive home from "doing the hotel thing" was terrible, took us much longer than expected and then there were long delays on the local motorway as there was industrial action in Calais yesterday evening - they just stack the lorries along the motorway until the port is able to take them again, good job we knew how to divert along some country lanes.

Only one little one here today - one's off poorly, DD's are still in pj's and happy to be home and are quite happily playing with the little one whilst I have a quick cuppa and recharge - then they've requested playdoh...will get out the premade stuff today - not got the energy to make it.

DH goes away again tomorrow so need to crack on with the washing and ironing today and get him packed and ready to go, TD in full action for that very reason.

Must crank up the BM in a bit - got just enough bread for lunch but will need to get some made for breakfast and lunch tomorrow. Dinner tonight will be a complete no-brainer - Jacket spuds and various fillings, got in far to late last night to even think about getting anything out the freezer.

Decided, after looking in the hotel mirrors (I'm sure they lie - my mirror at home is much kinder) that I want to loose a stone before Christmas - I've been very guilty of snacking of late - I always do when I'm stressed and what with the builders and work and money dropping off, I really have over indulged. We've got a full house all over christmas and new year so I really would like to be able to put on some of my nice dressier outfits that are hiding in the back of the wardrobe.....wish me luck!

Hugs to all those in need today.
