    Morning folks

Thank goodness it's Wednesday. Last day of work for me until Monday.

Had a horrendous day yesterday. Sometimes I can't believe the rudeness of some people. A customer I was dealing with yesterday felt the need to scream and screech at me (didn't even find out what the problem was as she was talking no sense and didn't really give me a chance to speak). Her excuse for doing so was "the customer is always right and she can do what she wants and I should have shown her some respect and not "politely" asked her to stop screaming"

Tonights plans will be just a quick tidy up and putting some washing away. Everything else will keep until tomorrow.

    Time to go

    Have a great day :D

  • Morning all! Off shopping with children today. That'll be fun.   DD loves to browse for hours, DS hates it and wants to go home!

We'll be browsing the charity shops for clothes, and I have a stash of Freecycle to deliver and collect (chair for DS's desk, lovely table).

DD off to a sleepover and "nail party" tonight, so DS, DH and I will lay a fire and snuggle up, as it seems to be colder here today.

Snowy, we've missed you. Hope you soon feel better, hun. Have you seen TNG's halfterm Flylady challenge?

    Have a great Wednesday!

    Good morning everyone,

Bad night for me as well, but only due to my cough, i do wish these antibiotics would start kicking in!!!!
(((HUGS))) to those who are in pain today, im sure the change in the weather has a lot to answer for!!!
3 extra here today, and DS is back from his dads (complete with the attitude he always comes home with, does make me wonder what his dad says to him!!!!) but hopefully that wont last long, and i am so glad hes back, its doesnt feel right when hes not here, like my arm is missing or something!!!!
Will def be making halloween biscuits today, yesterday i ended up making a large chicken stew in the SC, and a weeks worth of butternut squash, sweet potato and red pepper soup for me (must start eating properly, would love to loose a bit of weight before xmas, that last half a stone is not wanting to leave my backside  !!!!) I also want to start 'feeding' the xmas cake DD and i made a few days ago, so that should impress the parents, a lingering smell of brandy in the house!!!!
Right, first little one due any minute, so better go and get ready, ive already put the WM on, and must put the BM on so we have bread for sandwiches at lunchtime.
    Have a lovely day everyone,
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
  • Bertie, you and your wife sound like wonderful grandparents. I'm in my 40's now but so miss my own. You never forget all the love & little things they did.

Many tx... apart from the old quote "you can give them back" we love them to pieces. They're great kids (and beautiful too... their mum is Thai). They're very caring also. The older one rang us up the other day to say she had been awarded a certificate "for being caring to my friends"... we were so proud of her!

Fortunately they are at a great school and that helps.

They absolutely LOVE singing along to the "Children's Favourites" in the car... people who see/hear us must think we're mad :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Their favourites? "Gillygillyossen-thingy" and "I've lost my mummy" (good old Rolf... one of the nicest performers ever to exist :)

Older one also loves learning new games (hence Monopoly and others to come). Younger one like to be the banker so she can hold on to the money ... I sense a future MSEer :)

Anyway... that dog is yapping again... time to get up...

    Morning everyone:wave:

Quite a busy day ahead, my mum is arriving at about 10ish where we will all venture to my sisters for a spot of lunch, good gossip and the kids can hang out together. Have already made a large vat of leek & pot soup to take with us, just need something to transport it in.

Really quite chilly the last couple of nights so have decided to make some sausage dogs draft excluders, well 3 actually, 1x cellar door, 1 x utility door and 1 x front door. The trouble with our house being old is its a bit on the wonky side and nothing fit perfectly IYKWIM. Have dug out a old quilt and some jazzy material so that will be tonights project.

Have a nice day, take care

    Morning All

((Hug)) to all that need them. Just a quick one again this morning as I'm off to w**k in a minute. Just a half day today then I get to be fulltime mummy for the rest of the week. DD is off to SIL this morning, hopefully she will enjoy herself with my niece to play with.

This afternoon I need to get on with tidying up this pigsty and theres another pile of ironing to get on with. Plus I'll go to the shops tomorrow so will use the time later to use any left over fruit and veg up I think some soup and muffins are in the offing

    Have a good day everyone
