    Yaay!!

DD has dressed herself this morning, thank god we aren't going anywhere. She is wearing red Argyle tights with cream socks with pink and brown dots on them over the tights. A denim pinafore with a white top underneath (I chose them), a khaki bolero style jacket with puffed sleeves and peach trim and to top it all off a very fetching necklace of fuschia, yellow, lime green and lilac. If we do venture out she will be sporting grey fluffy boots too.

My DD (coming up for 3) is exactly the same, pulls everything out of the warobe and puts it on. On the school run the other day dd put on this thick pink fleecy sleepsuit from last year (so a little tight) with pink wellies on top, she looked like a little pink telly tubby! A fairy dress with wellies is another favourite as is swimming costume over trousers, I love it!

Edit: Waves to Shez! (can't get little waving man to appear)

Standing for 2hrs with our backs to the persistent rain doesn't quite come under my description of "entertainment" and sitting down to drive home when the back of your jeans are 'soggy' is not on my 'wishlist' of things to do before I die! However, a full length, waterproof coat now is :D

gingin - I was also looking forward to Prime Suspect last night ... got as far as the DNA results .... woke up sometime after midnight and dragged my body off to bed. I'll have to watch the repeated version next Saturday on ITV3.
Oh Queenie, I totally sympathise re. the rain. Just come home from a weekend at Alton Towers, and yesterday queuing/walking around in the lashing rain for 4hrs - even went on the Log Flume - heck we couldn't get any wetter - could we? I think I lost the will to live after the 3rd go on Nemesis, rain lashing my face at 40 miles an hour. Driving back to the hotel was shivery torture, jeans stuck to our legs, my face resembling Shakespeares Sister (mascara everywhere), dreaming of a hot bubbly bath and a huge hot choc. I have never been so happy when the check in desk said, "Yes, there are hairdryers in the room". :rotfl:

Thankfully today was dry, so we went to the Monkey Forest which was close to hotel - it was lovely - the baby macaques are sooooooooo cute! :o

Chuffed to bits that Prime Suspect is repeated next Saturday - gutted that I missed it yesterday.

Hope everyone is enjoying the start of half term. :j

    Take care all

ageandjo - well i went and viewed a house recently, decor left alot to be desired, so effort had been made there, and they still seem to seel - im one of those people who look beyond that and see what the potential is in the house - you can always change paintwork etc can you? so i wouldnt worry too much.

    Hello Everyone

Hugs all round to those who need them

I'm back at work now after a week off. Very busy couple of weeks ahead

Had a good break though, with more Christmas shopping done. Got a book for Mum that she REALLY wants. Was £12.99, marked up at half price, I had £4 of vouchers for Waterstones, so got it for £2.49:j

My total Christmas spends on decorations, pressies etc so far is £192.50, which includes over 30 pressies, so I'm really pleased

    Hope everyone's ok

Too busy feeling sorry for myself to be constructive about anything really :(

My "man flu" has turned in to tonsillitis, which happens when I'm overdoing it and run down .... so I'm on strike! Which DH is finding a bit of a shock, but hey.

OS wise, managed half the ironing, but erm .... that's it. Sorry folks.

    B - Cereal
    L - Cheese on crumpets
D - Depends on what DH manages to rustle up.

((hugs)) to Shez, I always think of you as one of the OS posse.

I did manage to watch Prime Suspect last night, tonight will be Spooks.
After yet another bath (already had one), sitting here with scarf, jumper and fleece throw ... still got burning head and freezing body.

You bring back memories of Summer '98 when DH and I treated ourselves to a day at AT! Do please note I said "s.u.m.m.e.r" Off we went, T-shirts and shorts ... queuing to enter ... the heaven's opened and it bucketed down!! Some wiseguy behind us quipped: "Don't you listen to the weather reports" (I fixed him with my evil eyebrow!). Went straight on the newly arrived "Oblivion" Asked dh if we could get those cape thingies that they sell for the Log Flume ... but he priced up 2 exclaimed: "How much!?? I'm not paying *that*" I skulked behind him muttering "You only had to buy one ... for me!!" Ended up trying to dry my bum off in the ladies under one of those hand dryer things - useless!

Delighted you had a better weather day today at your visit to Monkey Forest, you are such a lovely Mum ... mine are clearing their clutter (with occasional instructions bellowed by yours truly) and I've been skinning nuts between browsing :o

PS: ((Get Well Soon hugs for Zed))
