    Good morning everyone,

Still rough here, so will be hitting the phone at 8.30 for the 'rush' to make a doctors appointment!!!! Feel fine apart from this cough, but starting to get a sore throat and pains because im coughing so much. Its also keeping me awake, nearly came down to start the thread at 4 this morning, but decided against it!!!!
Have 1 little one here today, and my 2 are out with their dad (well DD says she will only go if he brings her home this afternoon, so we will see) with DS back tomorrow afternoon.
Not sure what plans are for today, depends what time i get back from the docs, and when my 2 are picked up, but will do something nice with the little one!!! Do need to do some dusting, so that will get done today (positive thinking there!!!)
Right, better get started, hope everyone has a lovely day,
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
  • Morning all!

I'm lying hear listening to the rain hammering down outside! It sounds horrible... daren't put my nose through the curtains to look. It's at times like this that being retired really has its benefits - although the dogs will get walked whether it's chucking it down or not (and whether they want to or not :))

JW... sympathies over the fish! We had a dead one in the pond the other day and, as with all previously, a hole is dug and they are buried (and somewhere where the cats can't dig them up :))

Our animals just about rule our lives! On the job list today is revamping the "cage" in which we keep the cat litter tray and cat food - originally designed to prevent our Jack Russell from getting at them! However, he has recently discovered how to get into it when we aren't around so it's back to the drawing board!

Next job is some minor repairs to the shed in which our goose lives!

We're also inheriting our DDs Jack Russell for a couple of days whilst she goes off to Dublin with a pal! Ah well!

Ah... sounds like the downpour has eased. Time to get up for a cuppa... have a nice day all.

  • Morning everyone

What a weekend! Mum in hospital so spent the weekend visiting. Still have cold type thing so have a very croaky voice this morning and was looking forward to a lie in.

OH woke me at 6.30 to let me know the cat had had an accident  resulting in me having to strip the spare bed, our bed and the throw off the spare bed. Can't get everything in the WM so have 1 load in and am hoping to get another 1 in before I go to w**k. Smell is awful so have every window in the house open and have left the beds unmade to air them

Being up early, I've tidied around, descaled the kettle as it didn't get done last week and hoovered up. Have a huge basket of ironing to do when I get home and the bathroom needs a clean too.

    B - cereal
L - wholemeal rolls with chicken & salad
D - sausages in red wine sauce, mash & veg

Have a good day everyone xxxx
Its nice to be important but more important to be nice!

    Morning everyone :)

Sorry to hear people are unwell/down.

I am sleeping amazingly well at the moment :) so feeling very refreshed. I am so pleased it is half term because I worry a lot about ds when he is at school for a few reasons so it is nice to have him at home with me.

I need to do some more washing/ironing that I didn't get a chance to finish yesterday, I need to head off to the post office to send a lot of ebay parcels (cue much grumbling from the people behind me :o ), and then we are meeting up with a friend and her ds for an afternoon of play.

I am really hungry this morning so might treat the kids to a bacon sandwich. Dinner tonight will be chicken curry.

I hope everyone has a good day and ((())) to those that need them.

    Morning All

Quick one before I head out to w*r*.

Had a nice day yesterday and my sister came round with a lovely watch from Next. Then I went up to my MIL's for tea. The meal was lovely but DD played up something rotten, she certainly knows what buttons to push with grandma. Consequently I ended up coming home and crying as the in-laws make me feel like such a carp parent. Anyway I've got to back there in 10 minutes to face serious questioning about how she was when we got in, dont think she'll beleive me that she went to bed fine with some Calpol as she was obivously teething.

Sorry to off load, I know its not OS but none of my friends have kids or in-laws so dont know what it can be like. OS wise not much going on as I'll be worn out by the time I get in so any early night I think as I've got the dreaded cold as well

    Have a good day everyone

    Good morning.

I feel awful this morning, throat is so sore. feel like i have the worst cold ever. NOt very o/s but lemsip is keeping me going and with 2 kiddies running about the house i need it.

i have just disenfected and washed all the downstairs floors , one cat had an accident last night. so thought it best to do everywhere as my kids love rolling around on the floor.

i've finally got my tesco online order sorted , and lucky they have a delivery slot for this evening. so very impressed. although i do stil need some bits from morrisons that i don't buy from tesco.

I'm planning to make toad in hole or somethign similar for dinner tongiht. i need an easy meal to cook.

i've got wm on, will prob have to td it tho as the weather is so damp , and airer is already full.

Hubby has gone to work. i would love him to stay home today. i really miss him so much when he's at work and he been working so much lately it feels like we are passing ships in the night. but he has only got 1.5 hours of over tie a day to do this week so that is good.

i'm going to see to my little darlings now. they had a fantastic birthday party yet. my little girl is 3. ahhhhhhh. seems so grown up. and although my little boy is 15 months, he seems also grown up.

i feeling broody at the mo. but it not right time to have a baby. think i'd go even more insane than i am. lol

Anyway sendng hugs to those who need them, and giggles to those who need a laugh.

Enjoy your day Fellow o/s friends.

    Morning All,

Whats going on? Everyones poorly and all the animals are deciding to pee everywhere!!

Not a great night for me, poor DH is really quite poorly, have just dosed him up with three very strong pain killers to see if he can sleep, he was up all night and his throat is very very sore and his voice almost gone. I really sympathise, I had a quinzy a couple of years ago and it was such agony, hope it's not that.

Trouble is he was on childcare duty today as it's half term and I really feel he isn't up to it. Will need to speak to boss and try to work from home I think. Not ideal but I don't see what else I can do.

OS for today well as I was planning to be at work so not sure, need to tidy up a little and do some washing, better get the kids some breakfast now anyway. Dinner tonight is Calzones.

Have a lovely day all, wishing everyone better.
