    Hugs to Elona :grouphug:
Dp just off to footie, leaving me with the darling children

Poor baby boy (ok he's 14 months now) has had a really high tempreture so not had as much sleep as I would of liked, but hey ho thats one of the joys of being a mum;) .

Was planning to go down the lottie today, bit the weather is awful, so that might have to wait until tomorrow. I will probably pop into town instead and put some money in the bank (through the hole in the wall) so I don't spend it:rolleyes: :o . I am not being very good with money at the momment, it just seems to disappear, so I am trying to be really good and account for everything.

Trying to use up all my store cupboad items, as there are things that have been in there a while and need to be used up - same goes for the freezer.

Will make beef and onion pie for dinner today and have leftover stew for lunch.
Really anoyed with myself yesterday as I had managed to forget about a bag of tatties:eek: and they had gone rancid, so up to the composter they went:o
Also need to make a loaf of bread or some rolls can't decide which, probably rolls with onion and cheese on top(yummy) Yes I have a few onions need using up and lots of flour. Hopefully when I next go shopping the cupboards and freezer will be empty so I can start afresh.
Question- How long should alfalfa sprouts be before I eat them, as I bought some seeds and they are now about an inch long:smiley:

Can't beleive it is getting so close to christmas, I am not half as organised as I should be, will get the kids to write to santa later with their lists:eek:
Right I better stop going on,
    Hugs to all

    Morning All

((Hugs)) to Elona and Mr Elona, what a terrible shock.

Had a wonderful time last night, the food was everything I hoped for.

Today my sister is coming to see me and then we are off for a late birthday tea at my MIL's.

Back to OS today, I need to make a couple of loafs and a fish pie for our tea tomorrow night plus while the oven is on I will see if theres any fruit that needs using up and make some muffins. I've got one wash load and then a basket of ironing which I'll tackle while watching prime suspect tonight.

    Have a good day everyone

Hullo to everyone on here this morning.
Here in Yorkshire we've woken up to a very fine day. I'm now on half term, but I can't belive my "To Do" list, and a few days worth of "To Dos" for next half term.
I'm trying to do my classroom up as a space ship/outer space environment. So DH is going to build an M.D.F. tubular entranceway across my classroom door, so that it looks as if you're going into a space ship as you go into my classroom. Then we're putting foil, and star covered fabric all over the ceiling, with some papier mache planets circling a central sun (Sun-plastic teracotta garden bowl covered in yellow crepe with crepe flames radiating from it, and stuck to ceiling. We're blacking out some windows, building a small planetarium with fairy light stars on the ceiling (as a reading area) And painting up a full sized Magic Letter Box (again DH made) Its all costing me a fortune, and as the previous head made the school's budget mysteriously disappear, it has to all come out of my pocket I'm afraid. I had a lovely trip to Au Naturel for moon rocks and shiny things, including the fairy lights. Any O.S. ideas for decorating up a classroom gratefully received. I obviously have to consider health & safety including fire risk.
This half term I'll be going to the Space Centre in Leicester to do a risk assessment for a trip next half term, again, own time, own money.
Its not very O.S. being a 21st Century teacher.

Then I'll have to do all of the lesson plans for the half term...... Huh! and I thought I could get away for a break. I'm not complaining, it should be interesting to teach, and this year I'm not worried about my efforts being vandalised, as I have a lovely class.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch, mother has issued a command to take my whole family to go for Sunday lunch with her, as my Bro. is over on a rare trip from abroad. That's not bad, as she's a great cook, it's the command that's difficult, and rounding up my two 20+ers from their respective homes.

Looks as though my work is cut out, and indeed we can now barely see through the windows as they're so filthy. Methinks my home could do with a bit of attention.... as well as DH who is ill and not being very well looked after by myself at the moment.

    :A :A :A :A :A :A :A :A :A :A :A:A :A :A

Now :D alfalfa only take between 3-5 days to be ready, they are one of the faster sprouting seeds :)

It went well and I have to go back in a few days for part 2 but pain is intermittant and no where near as bad now, Thank you Queenie for the pm and support, much appreciated. Spending the recovery period watching a couple of my cheap bargain boot sale videos, yesterday was Down with Love (£1) today is Alfie (£1.50) don't have to bother with blockbuster anymore;)

Elona so sorry to hear your news how awful for you! A friend of ours has just had heart surgery (at barts) such a shock as he is younger than us, still in his 40's. ((((hugs))))

Topher your space themed classroom sounds great fun! The kids will love it! Can I be in your class?:D

Could you do a display using pictures of the children looking out of port holes on a spaceship using either photos of each child or self portraits done by them in a circular aperture framed in silver foil. Will try to think of more ideas but it has been a year since I worked with children.
