Good Morning everyone, hugs to Elona and OH.
I am on half term this week too, topher - I am in nursery - started in there Sept, OMG cannot believe the paperwork - will have to knuckle down to it this week. Along with tidying house from top to bottom and clearing out the junk. Oh, I live for the holidays so I can sort out!!!
The toilet hunt is still on, I had a look but they can be expensive, especially as I need to replace the sink too - thanks for your advice, I may well contact insurance. Will keep you updated. At least we have another one, can't imagine going real OS and using a bucket!! Its harder than I remember though, having one toilet, three kids and a hubbie, why do we all need the loo at the same time! lol
Haven't got anything ready for dinner today, went out to a 40th BD last night and didn't give it a thought about today - maybe we can go out, hint, hint to OH!
Whilst out yesterday, I bought new quilts for the winter (others were wrecked) and ooh, I was soooo cosy last night and had a good sleep. I also made an OS purchase of a slow cooker, haven't a clue what I'm going to do with it - but I'll read your recipes and try something tomorrow.
Have a wonderful day, everyone xxxxIf you don't have something nice to say don't bother saying anything at all.0 -

Could you do a display using pictures of the children looking out of port holes on a spaceship using either photos of each child or self portraits done by them in a circular aperture framed in silver foil. Will try to think of more ideas but it has been a year since I worked with children.

Thanks loads Queenie. I've been on some of those sites, but others are entirely new to me. The kids are aged 9-11 but I can see them getting a lot out of some of the craft ideas if I age them up a bit. Thanks

Topher don't forget the blue peter style robot in the corner (green as well as using up loads of cereal boxes, kitchen rolles etc:D )Our days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

Morning everyone
Sorry for your loss Elona and what an awful way to find out. (((((hugs)))))
Being relatively OS today (well for me anyway!)
Found some beef in the freezer so defrosted it but then didnt have a clue what I was going to do with it:rolleyes: Anyway have chucked it in the SC with some onions, potato and a very strange combination gravy (bisto, garlic chilli powder, tomato puree worcester sauce and a bit of balsamic vingegar:eek: ) and a tin of green lentils:beer: (now put your pen away Jamie this one,s patented to me:rotfl: ) Anyway its all in and at 7pm I will be [STRIKE]chucking it in the bin[/STRIKE] enjoying a lovely lobby (my mates mum used to make lobby ie just chuck anything in!)
So after a bit of work thats needed today I am planning to go and put my garden to bed for winter. Everyone keeps saying the weather is awful but its gorgeous blue sky here at the moment so I suppose I had better make the most until all of your bad weather head over here.
Also need to do a bit of "Anthea" round the house so its on with my tight white jeans and poncho to help me really get in the right state of mind:D
Anyway hope you all have a lovely sunday and I will report back to let you know if [STRIKE]Im alive[/STRIKE] I enjoy the lobby:j

Hi all
Hugs Elona:grouphug:
Topher - I really wanna be in your class.:T
Joannasmum - stay away from the fish pie:eek:
Well. I've settled down a bit but yesterday I wanted to kill some of the local kids. They've kicked off one of our wing mirrors - again! Just as I think I've got our finances licked something comes along. That'll be at least £150. Probably more. They hang around the local park drinking cider - specially on the last night of term - and then someone has to look the "big man" on the way home and kick the cars on the way.
DH is out there now playing with it. I had hoped to sneak off today for 1/2 an hour out of the house by myself. Just some time to get a thought through to the end rather than having to stop and sort a little person out. But that's not going to happen. how will I make it to the end of the week without strangling someone?
This rant isn't getting the ironing done is it?
Anyway. Going to build up the bookcases we got from homebase (selling them off for £15 each) they're pretty boring - but they'll do the job. I am determined to sort this house so everything has a place to live. Then once it does I can order people to put things away - cause there'll be somewhere to put it.
Better go - someone is shouting for a drink. (I need one too - wine OK at this time of day?)"You can't get a cup of tea big enough or a book long enough to suit me." - C.S. Lewis0 -

Morning all.
So far I have sorted one load of washing out, and I have another load to put in. Also got a few of OHs shirts to iron so will do that whilst watching my X-factor recording laterWill also have to break out my Stardrops and give the flat a bit of a swiffer whilst I have some time to myself!
Guna pop to Meadowhall today as well for a few bits and whilst I'm there I'm going to pop to Boots to locate everything I want and price stuff up before their Xmas evening on Wed so I can just do a Supermarket Sweep style dash amongst the crowds, grabbing mince pies and mulled wine along the way :rotfl: May also pop to Hobbycraft to see what they've got as I have a £3 off £15 spend voucher
Had a very strange dream last night: I dreamt I went into labour  It was a very strange feeling and I had to check that there wasn't a baby in the flat when i woke up this morning!! :rotfl: OH has banned me from cheese before bedtime now though
Happy Sunday everyone0 -

Afternoon everyone
Freezing where I am this morning, but I have had a good night's sleep so feeling bright eyed (for once!).
DH is yet again locked in the bedroom working so the kids and I are amusing ourselves. we just had a yummy luch of lentil and bacon soup and tuna sarnies, and are about to make a banana cake, just waiting for the oven to warm up. I also need to make a spag bol for tonight and one for the freezer.
Sunday is always my chores day so have a pile of ironing to do, have a hoover and tidy and then pack up some ebay parcels, I also promised ds a game of junior monopoly (he always wins!). As an aside, what age did anyone's children start playing the adult version, ds is almost 7 and the junior monopoly is a little tame?
Kids are tired and we have a busy week ahead so it will be an early night for them and a late night for me watching Prime Suspect with gin and tonic and a nice glass of red or two!0
