Churchmouse - don't know if you'll see this, but hope the trip to Devon goes okay.

Thanks ivyleaf, I have seen this!! Will be yet another VERY long day tomorrow, since I can't face the drive and am getting the train down!! Will leave the house before 7am and won't get back much before 10 pm:eek: And my purse will be £76 lighter!!!!

Not looking forward to it at all as Dad has been very depressed of late. I'm not blaming him, but do feel that he's not making any attempt to cope better. Perhaps I'm being hard but he seems to have decided he's the worst case on the planet and that's that. He has little sympathy for my brother who was widowed and left with 3 children three years ago, saying it's worse for him because he's older!!! Sometimes I think I must be a monster!!!!

On a lighter note isn't it exciting that Michelle has had her baby? Do hope she feels able to post pictures at some point, or at least tell us the names they have decided upon!

Ivyleaf I can barely believe it's 9 weeks since James arrived!! My 2nd grandson is due on armistice day (11/11), I've told my DIL to cross her legs until after my holiday to Malta!! ( I get back on 2nd Nov, late)

We must meet up again when I get back, I'll PM you then.

I suppose I should go and shower and prepare for tomorrow now, so Good Night all and hope to catch up Friday sometime.

PS Give her hell AussieLass!! That's what MILs are for!!!! Even ex MILs!! I'm sure you're actually being the epitome of sweetness and light! How could you be otherwise?:rotfl:

    Morning everyone

And especially good morning to Michelle - your first whole day as a new mummy! Congratulations on the arrival of your son.

My old style thing today will be very unexciting indeed. I intend doing a spot of flyladying in the bathroom and the spare room. The spare room is the dumping area, and most of that stuff I haven't looked at for a long time. So gotta grit my teeth and decide what is useful and then dump the rest.

My carpet purchasing isn't going at all well. Maybe I just have unusual taste but everything I have seen is terribly uninspiring. I have fairly modern/unconventional taste, but the shops seem to be stuck in some sort of nylon time warp. I'm not that hard to please really, but I haven't seen anything I'd be willing to part cash for.

Hope you all have a fabulous Thursday.

Hi, this is the Daily Thread for 19th October. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!

When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints.

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.

    Morning everyone

Congratulations Michelle and Mr Michelle on the arrival of your son.

Well first load of washing is in and a few more to do.

Going out today to meet my mum, dad and niece for lunch. Will get my weekly food shopping when I am out as well.

Have some paperwork to sort so I will deal with that this morning before I go out. Must pop to the post office as well.

Gonna go for a browse now

    Have a great day :D

Congratulations again to Michelle, hope you managed some sleep last night
