Many Congrats to Michelle and Family and your new arrival.
Got woken up in night by the biggest thunder clap ever, i thought i'd fallen out of bed i was so disorentated. the weather is awful here , blowing a gale, feirce showers. i love it. but the cloud is breaking and the sun is popping it's head around the clouds.
i built a pine ottoman yesterday . ( well flat pack from b&q) i so pleased. and this is for the kids toys. but i think i may need another one. so got some more sorting to do.
I am going to try and do some baking today , now the nights are getting longer i like to have homemade biscuit or soemthing after the evening meal.
My daugtehr asked me to make some playdough as she went up to bed so i amd going to make that in a bit. she wants yellow playdough so we can make butterflies and then she wants to catch the butterflies in the sieve, like they do in winnie the pooh. bless her.
hope everyone else has a good day planned.0 -

Good morning OSers, hope you're all well today
Would like to add my congrats to Michelle!
At w**k today then off to see school about getting DS some support after half term, fingers crossed. Spoken to my boss and I am re-jigging my hours so I can be home when he gets in from school and then work later on other nights. I have a really good boss for which I am very thankful.
OS stuff today? Well I am halfway through my first batch of Curry Queen's base sauce making - the house ruddy STINKS of onions and garlic and I am sure I have a faint tinge of it too. So I'll be making up a massive batch of curry tonight to go into the freezer for my big birthday party next Saturday - guest numbers have risen to 22! But am feeling good because so far there is a vat of chilli, a huge lasagne and two tuna plait things in the freezer already so I know no one will be going hungry. The hopefully I'll be flyladying DS bedroom to create a bit more space and help him get a bit more organised.

Morning All
Congratulations to Michelle and Hubby, now the fun really start, enjoy every second it goes so fast.
Got nothing done yesterday, so I really need to get on with lots of jobs today. It horrible and damp so I need to get a couple of loads of washing dry may have to resort to the dryer. Other big job for the day is going to Tesco which should be fun as DD hates going.
Tonight i get some me time as I'm going to my SIL for her to cut and colour my hair, it a freebie because she has some of my colour to use up from a previous client so I'm well pleased.
Have a good day everyoneSorting my life out one day at a time0 -
Congrats to michelle and hubby:j
Finally got my rolls sorted last night after a disastrous attempt in the afternoon in bm, forgot to add water!!
The pizza in bm turned out really well, everyone loved it, not decided yet whats for tea tonight, water will be going off at 10am until 2pm as they are working on it, they are building new houses not far from us.
So bath is full to the brim with water, kettle boiled etc, hopefully they finish on time!
Hugs to all

Morning all :hello:
Is it me or is this site misbehaving this morning!??
Didn’t sleep well last night. Was asleep by midnight but woke around 2 and lay awake tossing and turning for a couple of hours. I was just stressing about the lack of progress on my house move. The copious quantities of red wine I drank earlier on were a bit counterproductive as well. Speaking of which, I really don't know what my removal men are going to make of the fact that most of my packing boxes say "Quality Wines - please handle with care" on the side :rotfl:
People keep offering me stuff for the flat - luckily most of my friends have quite good taste - LOL! The latest offer was a dinner service, which I haven't seen yet but I know it's from Muji and I trust the taste of the person who's offered it to me. It means I will be able to Freecycle the enormous set of crockery given to me by my dad's then-girlfriend when I moved into my last place 5 years ago. It's far too big a set for me, it's been packed up in the loft since I moved to my current place, and I never liked it much.
I think I broke the fish pie jinx last night :j with a fairly successful cod and haddock pie. Before you have a go at me for buying cod, I only buy it when it's extremely reduced, with the reasoning that it's already on the shelves by then and if the supermarket is making a loss by selling it to me for 40p, it's hardly encouraging them to keep selling it!
Edinburghlass – I think you’ve missed out a day somewhere, I think there was a whole day between Michelle’s last post and when she had the baby
Talking of babies, my colleague is being induced today.
I've got w**k all day and a singing lesson this evening. And of course the usual tedious round of solicitor-chasing
EDITED TO SAY: Happy Birthday Ivyleaf!
Catch you later

Hello everyone.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY IVYLEAF!!
Another quiet day here today. Will do some cleaning around house this morning while I wait in for a parcel.
Off to MILs for dinner tonight so no food for me to prepare here today.
Has been raining overnight and is still very blustery so kids had wellies on earlier this morning and had great fun jumping in every puddle they could find.
Not sure what we will do this afternoon - feel a bit sniffly so we may have a crafty afternoon and stay indoors. Oh! I know! Yesterday we made gingerbread men and DS keeps asking for flapjacks so we will make some of those.
Hope you all have a good day!
Edited to say, yes, I have also had real problems with this site this morning! I press a thread to read and it brings up something different or it just won't do anything.0 -
