Good morning everyone.
Congratulations Michelle and Hubby, a little boy Os'er to join our ranks. :footie:
Couldn't sleep, I've been so busy that by 10 pm I'm finished, and last night I just went to bed - lovely, but woke before 6am today which isn't
Its still dark here! And wet - luckily OH will walk the dog
Over lunch I will pop to the Farmers Market - and my veg box yesterday was so full of greenery I'm going to have to think of some new ways with Cabbage/Spinach/Kale etc I will try 'dolmades' with the big spinach leaves - a greek friend of mine does them that way and they're delicious. Oh, and stuffed cabbage leaves might be nice too. I wonder if I will ever post without talking about food .
My thanks button seems to disappear and re-appear, so apologies to those I miss - I really enjoy reading this thread so Thanks to you All :grouphug:

Morning All!
Michelle, you said that Tuesday was your first opportunity to post so early - bet you'll have lots more chances, now! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Have a great day!
This is the first day of my 2-week holiday! Hurrah! DH and children off tomorrow, so want to get lots done so that we can have fun tomorrow.
Went for a contact lens trial yesterday. I've worn gas permeable lenses on and off for years, but thought I'd try some soft ones. Getting them in was fine, but I couldn't get them out!   By the end my eyes were realy sore, and they wouldn't let me take any away to practice with until I'd been in again and shown I could get them out more easily. Anyone else have this problem?
Some sad news, one of our hens died yesterday. She was a few years old (not one of the ones we hatched this spring) and had been going lame and looking quite poorly.
Can hear the small penguins, so need to get breakfast for them - I'll be back when I have the house to myself!

Pen-Pen-Sorry about your hen.
Slept well last night and feel a little more focused today:D
WM is on, DW has been emptied, breakfasts made and toilet cleaned. Another washload to be done once this one has finished. Kitchen has been wiped down.
OH finishing small touch ups in toilet this morning.
DD's parent evening went very well last night and we are very proud of her work and the teachers all said she is a good student. However, she has lost a couple of bits of loose HW and am not sure what method would be best for filing her HW etc.....any ideasHer bedroom is quite small, but she does have wasted space under her bed which could be used. She is currently getting about 1.5-2hrs of HW per night and think she just looses track of some of the paper that is not put in her books IYKWIM.
I would like to get some stuff listed on Ebay today as its a 10p listing, but am not sure if I have any energy....suppose I could put 10 items on.
Well I have to go.
Breakie: Scrambled Egg on toast
Lunch: Baked Spud, ham and salad
Dinner: Probably a roast dinner
Hugs to all.

Good morning all!
Well I am up, have got washing going in the TD (on economy 7 electric of course). Have sliced my HM loaf that I made last night; years ago I bought one of those bread slicers with the handle that turns. I got it at a boot fair - there were quite a few for sale at that time. I don't know why everyone was trying to get rid of them, cos it's brilliant. I hate cutting bread with a knife, it always ends up diagonal somehow.
Pen Pen - persevere with the lenses. I use daily lenses, and love them. But even now I still have problems getting them out occasionally, usually if my eyes are tired. I used to have monthly lenses, but have problems with one of my eyes so daily lenses are ideal. I had hard lenses for years, from when I was a teenager, although once I had small babies I couldn't be bothered with it all & stuck to glasses. But when I first tried soft lenses it was brilliant. The best moment was when we were walking along the beach at Walton on the Naze & it was a windy day with the sand blowing about - and I realised that it wasn't the painful experience that it would have been with hard lenses!
Have a good day everyone!
especially Michelle & family0 -
Good morning everyone,
HAPPY BIRTHDAY IVYLEAF
Well, back to work today, although little one is at nursery this morning, so i will have chance to do some cleaning (that shouldve been done yesterday). Need to put the WM on, and keep meaning to make a loaf to go into the freezer for emergencies, so want to do that today.
The weather here is horrible too, whilst i was in the shower i could hear the wind blowing outside, so stayed a bit longer in the shower as it was lovely and warm!!!!
Right, need to put a rocket up my 2, still no movement from upstairs!!!!
Have a lovely day everyone,
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -
Morning Chums ,
dark and dreary outside but I have been up for awhile. I have got the SC on with some veggie soup and the oven on with a HUGE turkey leg that has been lurking in the freezer for awhile I am going to cook it then strip the meat off and curry it for my DD. She has too much month left in her month till payday, IYKWIM.
Youngest DD is coming this morning and we are going to the outlet centre in Ashford to look for a loooooong chenille table cloth for her new dining table .With five children, three under 6 she wants to keep her new table as nice as possible for as long as she can.She has a heat protector for it now we just want something longenough to go over it so the children can use it for their jigsaws, crafts, cards, games ect,.
Her extension is galloping on, and we have our fingers crossed for a finishe date of mid November if the weather holds out.
Eldest DD and husband are off to see Level 42 tomorrow night, so I am (baby-sitting)a.k.a.keeping a 16 year old and 13 year old from falling out with each other .DD & husband are staying in London overnight so I shall sleep at DD's as well.
Hope everyone has a smashing day and (((hugs))) for those in need and everyone else try a Smiling day .Everyone you meet today smile at them, and tell them to pass your smile on .Spead a little happiness on this dark and wet autumn day .
Cheers folks only 67 more days till Christmas, get knitting, baking, making ect0 -
