My daughter has only been gone for 2½ weeks, but it feels like months lol
She has still not figured out how to get the duvet in the cover!
She says she may come home Friday night but will go back to UNI on Saturday as there is a charity thing she wants to go to. I miss her, but the house is so much more tidier since she has been gone :)

    phone calls so far panicking;

" what temperature did you say to wash my clothes on"

" the internet won't work in my room"

and most panicking of all was yesterday

    " I;ve got a bill for £4,439
for my accommodation that needs to be paid - what do I do about it? "

I KNEW he wasn't listening when I told him all these things !!!!!!!!!!
but the house is SO much tidier and quieter without him !:rotfl:

Haha I asked my mum about the washing and she gave the reply

"Everything on Synthetics 40", and I've done that ever since ha!

Although I'm in my final year too, my parents came up at the weekend as it was my birthday, so we went out for lunch and went to the footy :) lovely day.

Going home next weekend to see rest of family :)

I phoned my daughter at 11am and her voice was very croaky. I suspect I woke her. I just hope all this partying will end soon as not good for her liver!

My daughter did end up coming home this weekend. She is still at home now, but will be going back to UNI by train some time this morning. It was lovely having her back, but boy, you could tell she was here....mess followed her all through the house.

DS came home again this weekend, he came home friday evening and stayed till after sunday tea..

He came home with a migraine and badly needed to sleep. He says the noise and riots in his halls haven't calmed down yet, plus the cleaners have taken to knocking them up early for the culprets to clean up the mess they leave.

And like you say Lynn2, the mess (and noise) has followed him through the house - i had forgotten in just 2 short weeks how demanding he is!!!!! That said, it's been a LOVELY weekend. Saying goodbye wasn't as hard this sunday as it was last sunday, but it's going to be 3 weeks now till I see him again.:(:(:(

Mrs7ones, same here, my daughter was so tired the whole weekend and has slept alot and kept saying how nice it has been to catch up on some sleep. It has been so noisy on her floor level and even though she has also been 'partying' she just wishes that there were some quiet times so she could get some decent shut-eye lol.
  • Im third year now and I'm just gettng used to being seperated from my parents for weeks at a time. The average seperation for us is about 4-6 weeks. This year it might be logner as I have to split my weekends betwene my boyfriend and my family. at the moment my parents came up two weeks ago for my birthday. I'm thinking I might go home at the end of the month although honestly I dont get home sick anymore.
