Are you kidding? Were the parents not just thankful that they were lucky enough to have happy healthy children (assuming they were happy and healthy) regardless of the sex?! Some people just don't know they're born!! (Excuse the pun) I would snap my own arm off to have a child regardless of sex, even if I had been out and bought pink stuff and had to put a boy in it or vice versa.0 -
it never even entered my head to sue the hospital, is it too late now after 16 months? lolHave a Bsc Hons open degree from the Open University 2015 :j:D:eek::T0

It must happen a fair bit.....I personally know three people, so it can't be that rare!"One day I realised that when you are lying in your grave, it's no good saying, "I was too shy, too frightened."
Because by then you've blown your chances. That's it."0 -
I know a girl who was told at two scans she was having a girl (she had an extra growth scan late on), and it turned out to be a boy. That was only 7 years ago too, so not ages ago.:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0

Personally i would never find out! I just loved the surprize esp as i thought i was having a boy all the way through and actually out popped a girl!! There's not many true surprizes left in life and i find it boring when people have found out and named the child before its even born. Even the midwifes were very excited at my birth as it's not often the parents don't know what they are having nowdays as everyone seems to find out
I have to say if i had another child, i still wouldn't find out, its tempting ofc but i loved giving birth and it being such a shock lol!
Funny thing is though, the one dream i had about the baby it was a girl, but me and everyone else was conviced it would be a boy! I think deep down your body knows but i really enjoyed the suspense!0 -
I think if you're told you're having a boy (like me - 6 weeks to go!), then the statistics are high that it is a boy (due to a certain piece of anatomy spotted on the scan that makes it obvious...).
If you're told it's a girl, however, then as there's no "external anatomy" to look for on the scan, so it's more likely a mistake can be made, hence most of the above describe those who are told they are having a girl, and it turns out to be a boy.
In short, it's easier to see and be sure if something is there (i.e. a willy!) than to see and be sure if something is not there!
(and they always make you sign something saying they can never be 100% certain).Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
