The best option is to find a scanning point on the wall and check prices there.

 my local Tesco store must still be in the stone age then :(

    thank you.

REDFOX- the scanner link in your first post doesn't work. would love it if it did work. Thanks

I think this may be the latest updated page......although there is a thread dedicated solely to Scanner locations as well

The address is the same as in redfox's post.....but this one works??

Ok let's get rational about this,l it is going to be back to "old style" r&r tomorrow, Tesco now have a team of professionals on this and the big ticket items will be first on the priority list so its back to spot the misprice rather than dodge the correct price. There will be misprices out there but you can expect them to be rectified a LOT quicker than usual as I suspect that from now all r&r over a fixed price will need to be referred back to head office. That having been said they WILL be there.

The importance now is on getting back here and posting so that the window of opportunity can be maximised for ALL. No point in keeping your finds to yourself as all you will serve to do is give Mr T the opportunity to plug the hole. So if you spot one it's back here post and hit the stores.

Well done Mr T your finally understanding the power of the consumer.

Together we can make a difference.
  • Silly question but if the posters are still up tomorrow surely they would scan at the correct price???

What if there is a pos or sel that has expired, do the tills automatically update when the offer ends???
    Its all to confusing

They should scan at the correct price but it's a bit of a lottery

Scan at correct price - everyones happy

Scan at a higher price and you are really happy ;)

I just posted on the misprices thread, about 2 different annuals R&Rd today:

    Open Season, and
    Thomas the Tank Engine

Also posted this spiel, hope it makes sense, discuss on this thread please......

I wonder if both these are the problem? I have had quite a few annuals and the offer seems to fail when the annual shows on my receipt as 'book'. Both of these 2 showed as 'book' today'.

The only 2 I have bought where the offer did kick in were The Beano and Dr Who......these both show on receipt as 'kids book'.

I have one other receipt from a few days ago (another Dr Who plus Pokemon).....one shows as 'book' (Pokemon) and one as 'kids book' (Dr who). I am pretty sure that my Scooby Doo annual from last week scanned as 'book' too, so that could be another winner(?) can't be certain yet...I bought it with Noddy anyway.

Got it everyone? If your store has a scanner you may be able to find the glitches if the ones described as 'book' are at fault. Not 100% on this theory, anyone else like to check their annuals receipts (where the offer worked or not)?
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Just popped to Tesco for a flying visit as I fancied a couple of new PS2 games that were posted on the other thread. None to be seen

Walked down the aisle to come out of the store and saw the Philips CD players with the £39.97 barker still up. They were right on the top shelf and I could not reach them so they had to get the steps to get one down. The bloke who got it down said "oh they are back to £49.97 on the other shelf down the other end" "Really:rolleyes: "

Paid and walked out. Went back in and the manager tried to give me the difference. "Errr I think you need to give me the full amount back"

Well we cant do that after 10pm you will have to come back tomorrow.

He gave me the receipt and the CD player AND the Barker to prove it was there!!! :rotfl:

Hmmm now if I was feeling really naughty this could obviously be used in another store. Not that I would do this of course but I did think it was strange when he gave it to me
We took on Mr T and we won:D

Shame it had to end, will have to get free stuff from comps now

I bought Noddy and Art Attack Annuals (multisave didn't kick in) but they both came up as 'Kids Book' :o
  • Had a disaster with PSP R&R his week.

Spurred on by my success with X Box R&R on Monday after Kevin’s intervention I tried for a PSP in a different store.

No discount came off & like the X Box manager only offered me the free game. So I called HO next day, this time speaking to Joanne & again emailing my receipt but used a different name, home and email address but foolishly the same phone number. Got a call form Kevin later in the day saying many checks are made with refund claims & wanted to know why my mobile number was the same as another claim & suggested I was making a claim for my own personal gain and abusing the policy. I denied it & said it was my cousin & I just made the call on his behalf, which makes no sense whatsoever!
He then asked for his number. I said I didn’t have it but would get him to call. I thought I’d blown it & decided to return for a ‘normal’ refund.

Next day I got this email from Joanne

I have spoken with your local store and arranged a full refund for you. Please return at your convenience with your receipt and the console and they will action this for you.

    Regards

    Joanne

I thought this was strange after my chat with Kevin the previous day but went to claim my prize anyway. Compared to my Xbox experience they all knew I was coming. I felt like a big brother contestant at a film premiere. I must’ve been the talk of the staff canteen that day! But this time there was nothing. CS lady & manager didn’t know anything about it. I asked again for a full refund showing her a copy of the email but was getting nowhere. Manager offered to ring HO the next day as it was after 6pm but since Kevin’s accusations I decided against it & took my ‘normal’ refund.
I assume Joanne & Kevin work close & her email to me was an error intended for some1 else. If only I borrowed a friend’s mobile it would’ve been so different.
