  • Welcome back, everyone. :D I'm still ill, though... :(

Although we're not meant to speculate, I would guess that the site received a complaint from Tesco re: the two threads. As a matter of precaution, the threads had to be closed and looked at to see if Tesco's complaint was valid. As the threads have re-opened, I assume that the site has decided that there's nothing wrong with the threads. All purely speculation, however.

Still, be nice and keep it clean and legal, kiddies. :D

  • Only discovered the threads this week after getting a chance R & R last week. Had a good laugh when I popped into Tesco's yesterday and found every console poster stickered despite them having fixed most of the problems (think they're going for the belt and braces approach). If they are on the ball they won't advertise this weeks promotion unless they know till prices are accurate but I bet they have new posters up tomorrow......

  • Ive seen 2 stores today with the posters up & the ds was working correctly because I tried it.
Still think the PSP base pack isn't bringing up a discount. Can't be sure, though. I guess it's a case of try it and see.

Will tescos change the game of the week or leave it as it is if they have it all sorted?
  • It wasnt working yesterday as I had a refund on one :)

I reckon the base pack isn't meant to be in the offer at all. If that's the case, Tesco should sort out its POS to clearly indicate which items it refers to, as per Trading Standards guidelines.

I dearly love my PSP - it's a great piece of kit. More impressed by it than the Xbox 360, to be honest.

  • I went in to T Llanelli last night and there was a yellow label saying that the PSP discount didn't include the black one. As they don't sell the white one then only the giga left.
They also had 360 + gotw Just Cause with £20 off, wasn't sure if right or not so I left it.
Tonight there are no discounts on these at all advertised.

  • It is great to have the misprice thread back but if the moderators have concerns that the R & R policy is being abused by this thread and that the thread is seen to encourage this one could see why the moderators closed/reviewed the list.

Maybe the emphasise of the thread should be to highlight items that Tesco shoppers need to double check their receipts for to make sure there are no errors.
eg "If you have recently bought a PSP console in the last day or so, please be aware that some mispricing has occurred so check your receipt carefully"

    Just a thought........

That's the thing, though. How can you abuse a policy that has been put into place in order to re-assure customers that overcharging rarely happens in their stores. If there was no overcharging, there could be no R&R. If it was such a rare occurance, it would not be possible to abuse such a policy. However, people have been able to buy lots of highly expensive items then claim a refund because overcharging and misleading POS is widespread in the stores.
