Where are peeps still getting their R&R's from on the PSP's/XBOX's etc... -I've tried Cov, Leicester and most of the midlands, but they've taken down the signs. Where are these unobservant stores then? Outer Hebrides?

I agree with this but if you want to avoid a confrontation just ring microsoft. They'll have it turned around in 7 days FOC, including carriage. Very efficient provided you can get the dumbass on the other end of the phone to spell your address.

why is he a "Sir" anyway?! Do you get a Knighthood for making unfair monopolies and killing local shops these days or something?

Read the post!!!!! I have done enough R&R ing to know peeps won't tell me where the R&R' are available from. What I want to know is, the posters who have had recent R&R's on these, when all of the Midlands stores have removed the offers entirely - no offer whatsoever - where did they get them from. i.e which are the unobservant stores - Coventry has 2 large Extras which are hit repeatedly by other MSE users. IF however Inverness is a slack store then surely we'd all want to know for referencing future offers.

Seems he is also a director of the Liverpool Vision Regeneration Board - the very people responsible for the gentrification of many areas including kensington, where people are being made roofless so their homes can be demolished to make way for middle-class 'cockle-pickers' (use your imagination... :> ).

I happened acrossa store today which had the offers up so thought it was worth a try. Store didn't ahve any standard DS consules on display so as the poster didn't say not DS Lite we bought that and Fifa 07. Discount didn't come off. Went and got items then came back querying why the discount didn't come off. CS sent off a young lass to get the poster and they both looked at it and said sorry our mistake, let me give you the £10 and all will be well. We said no as its a package deal. buy the game and consule get the money off. She said yes I can't authorise that much so I'll get the manager who came along and said that we bought the wrong consule and it only applied to the DS not the DS Lite. i asked him what the difference was and that the receipt stated DS hardware not DS Lite but he stuck to his guns. We overheard them CS talking that they'd already had one that day and don't know how the poster got back up.

Consequently I came away with the game and consule as I felt it it wasn't right that it didn't specify which consule exactly it was. Was this the right thing to do? Am I right in my thinking or is the offer only on the DS and not the Lite. they did try scanning the barcode with the DS and it didn't take the discount off either.

The manager was really nice about it all and even photcopied the big poster advertising the promotion for me. He wrote his name and CS telephone number on the receipt. Couldn't fault him except for not giving me my money back:rotfl:

I have read the thread and understand the next step would be the phone call but I don't want to do that if I am in the wrong so any experiences of this would be useful please.

Yes (or you could just "lend" quarter of a million quid to the Labour Party (or £1m for a Peerage))

Evilwitch - so far you have done everything absolutely right. Next step is to phone CS in Dundee at the phone number the local store gave you and explain what happened. Make it clear that the store checked and even if you'd bought a different console type it would not have given the discount.
Stick to your guns and hold out for that R&R.
