Surely they can't take your partners points away, she hadn't done the R&Rs. So its nothing to do with her. Surely that can't be legal.

Just got back from tesco's again...

Still no posters up but there are still no yellow price labels with expiry dates thus I don't know if they've taken them down or not put them up.

This was in Stafford.

I know of 3 more stores in other places (one a massive one) so gna trek over later on today. Want a 360 so bad i could cry

i have checked all the stores in my area, they don't have the big poster up but they do have a smaller notice saying £20 off the game when bought with the x box. This seems to me like the get out clause because it actually states £20 off the game but you have to buy the console to get it !

I think some people on this thread should get a check of reality.

Yes, there is a loophole where some Tesco stores have forgotten to take down an old poster, and yes, you can then go and exploit it. Would you buy all these PSP's etc and keep them if the discount came off correctly? No.
Do Sainsburys offer the same kind of R&R service for their mistakes? No.
People like Taxiphil moan and say that Tesco are acting terribly, but I dont see you campaigning against every other company in the world who misprices items (without the benefit of R&R). It seems to me that Tesco offer a better service on misprices than any other company.
Yes, play them at their own game... but if they say enough is enough, and ban you.. then you should accept it. (Im sure they did it because you are a repeated finder of "overpriced high items, with little else going through your credit cards etc)


This is not just about customers being treated badly, its also about people looking at Tesco's for anything that they can get free.
Tesco are 100% allowed to ban anybody that they want to... and as much as I would like a free Xbox etc, I can definitely see why they have done it, and I am sure you can too.
Casinos can ban people if they win too often, but I dont hear them threatening "trouble" over it.

Threatening them back with all kinds of "trouble" shows that you are hardly Mr Perfect either

I agree that some members of staff have acted terribly (From reading this thread), and I understand that Tesco have made their own bed by offering this R&R, but banning you is their own choice. I doubt you are worried about being banned because you can no longer shop, but more because you want to use them for a supplementary income

If taxiphil had his own shop, do you think he would offer the item free if he overcharged by mistake? No.
And if he did, do you think he would let 1 person come in again and again to try and swipe the most expensive items for free? No.

I know lots of people will start to moan at me, and tell me its all Tescos fault, but at the end of the day, they all know the truth too. I have no problem with people trying to get a bargain, I really dont. But if you keep on coming back for more, then what do you expect?

If you are that disgusted with Tescos then why dont you go to Sainsburys, or Asda, or Morrisons, and give them your money instead? Im sure we all know the answer ...

I feel this is a savage and ridiculous stance for them to take, and could result in alot of very bad publicity when all this is brought to the general publics attention, which in time i'm confident it will.

In this context, I sympathise with your loss.

But in this R&R game if you push the boundaries, you risk consequences.

Don't get me wrong - I'm not pro-Tesco as readers here know.

I'm not sure of the timescale but £3,500 of R&R is a good way of creating a high profile for yourself - and you've paid the price.

In a similar context personally I don't womble - but again if you do, you risk Tesco catching on and putting the brakes on.

Of course a nationwide ban cannot be enforced - but you will have to limit any R&R activity to straight-forward items - not the buy x and z and save £10 deals.

Like I said - each to their own - but you've created this situation for yourself - perhaps sell some of the stuff on eBay and create a wedding fund?

I have no problem with the Ban and I can see why they have done it. I do think it is a little unfair they have then come back and taken all the points though. They would surely be able to see what has been gained through R&R and take those away instead of a blanket removal. Think that is very unfair.
