Constanine, does this mean that it should be easier to find given that the staff always rotate the stock, IE the new stock has a longer date so would want the older stock with shorter date at the front ?

Did you really say "staff always rotate stock"?

    :rotfl: :rotfl:

No, go on, tell me another...

    :D

But yes, in this utopia you describe, that would be the case. Sorry, still laughing at that one....always rotate stock heh :D
Who or what was I before you came in to my life

Well, back in my youth, I worked in a butcher dept for a large supermarket.

The butcher guy used to tell me to make sure to rotate the sausages and burgers, as if we didn't sell oot, along with the mince, we'd have more mince for the next day to SEL, LOL but very true, also the offal..used to label that premium mince !

Today they've issued a nationwide ban on me visiting their stores for the rest of my life.

It was Kevin Kelly, of all people, who broke the news to me over the phone. He said they don’t have to give me a reason. He did, however, say he was currently arranging a full refund on my latest PSP overcharge, so it was nice to have an admission of guilt (again).

In my opinion they don’t like customers who insist on being charged the right price for their goods. It’s far easier to ban these customers than to operate a clean, honest, law-obiding company.

I must reiterate, for the record, that all I have done is seek R+Rs on a number of high value items after Tesco overcharged me for them. My behaviour in store, and on the phone to Tesco, has always been impeccable. Sadly this can not be said for their staff.

I don’t believe they can resrict the access of citizens wishing to gather evidence of crimes being committed. I'll be seeking legal clarification on this one.

It came as a far greater shock, however, to see they have deleted my partner’s entire Clubcard balance of 9,000 points. This is theft, plain and simple. We acquired every last one of these points in accordance with the terms and conditions of the scheme.

This was effectively our Wedding Fund - we were collecting these points to spend on a holiday from the Virgin Weddings brochure in a year’s time.

They have also said that they have voided the codes on the vouchers they have already sent to us over the last year. These vouchers are worth £340 - i.e. £1360 off a holiday.

Therefore they have just robbed us of points worth £1720 off our wedding. My partner is devastated and has been crying all night. Right now I am shaking with anger and can not really think straight.

If T can SEL (lol) ARGY meat at cheap prices, what do peeps think Mcrap and Buga kink can buy frozen end cuts and reform into juicy ZIT burgers ?

  • A quick mention about the annuals offer. There have been so many combinations mentioned. Dr Who and Bratz as a combination trigger the discount.

I genuinely wanted these for Christmas presents so I was disappointed but at least I didn''t have to go down the refund route. Dr Who is so popular with school children I thought I should buy it early anyway, in case it is difficult to find nearer the time.

I got 2 last week. cs scanned both twice, and neither triggered the discount. They were Star Wars and Pokemon
There have been loads of posts about these - my list so far incs
    StarWars
    Pokemon
    Noddy
    Princess

But Dandy, BEano and Art Attack DO get the discount

I also THINK I remember someone mention the England one and the one about the wild animals (sorry forgotten the name, but can picture the front cover - cartoon wood with bear I think it was) -just had an email about the film coming out. The annual is called Open Season !
    Sorry to ramble.
What I meant to say is if you want Dr Who, but if you buy 2 you will get the discount kicking in, Try Dr Who with Star wars.
Then on another shopping trip get the Bratz with say Pokemon.
Even if you don't want the other annuals, you will be getting both free, so you can afford to give them away as presents, or even donate to your school/church christmas fayre.
Again i think an earlier poster observed that the ones with Pedigree on the bottom of the front cover was the problem one for the discount NOT coming off
  • bratz and thomas get the discount so if you want the discount dont get this combo :)

I have no intention of obeying the ban, as I don’t believe they can restrict the access of citizens wishing to gather evidence of crimes being committed. I will continue to visit their stores and gather such evidence in the future.

But I can tell you the criminals at Tesco have now got an all-out war on their hands. I have some big plans, but I can’t reveal too much as I know they definitely read this thread.

    Mate, I'm so sorry.

S'all I can say at the moment, I am so shocked. I will mull overnight and contact you another time to help you in anyway I can.

Come on everyone, lets all get our heads around this new tesco stance. They have obviously had legal approval before doing this but surely there is another loophole we can exploit to get taxiphils missus's points back.

    (Every Little Hurts!)
  • I bought Noddy and Dr Who annuals today, and
    the discount came off
I wanted these anyway, but it would have been good if they
    had been r&r
    I AM WHAT I AM ;)

taxiphil - Banned for life and they've taken our Clubcard points

Gutted for you and your girlfriend, i'm sure i speak for alot of members/followers of this thread when i say if theres anything i/we can do to assist you in this plight we will.

I feel this is a savage and ridiculous stance for them to take, and could result in alot of very bad publicity when all this is brought to the general publics attention, which in time i'm confident it will.
    :j I'm keen :j
 The name has been changed to protect the innocent:mad: Well almost :D
  • Taxiphil, don't know what to say...

    ...this IS indeed shocking.

    Leaves me speechless.
