Keep us updated, and good luck with sorting it out.0 -
Guys, please don't forget to also put your misprices on this site, as it's very quick and simple to both read and use - just click add at the bottom and it's fairly simple. http://www.cpjackson.co.uk/cgi-bin/misprices/index.pl?orderby=&startat=00

I say as little as possible really, let them make verbal errors instead. I'm a very big lad and I let my military gait do the rest.
Thankyou mcdonag, went very quickly to tesco following your r&r (had to go shopping) started to shake (as im not very big and knew cs was looming if i got it lol) as i saw the gotw the godfather and xbox £20 off poster, didnt have enough cash on me but text my cous (fellow mse'r)to quickly check your game you bought via my mobile lol she confirmed was godfather, dashed home borrowed a couple of hundred off hubby(looking very confused but handed it over nevertheless) shot back up there with my 13 yr old, he played it like a champ, 'thanks mum', got to cs, 'mum wasnt £20 supposed to come off'...'oh was it go and check.'.nice cs lady..goes with him, 'yep your right', too much for her to authorise, half an hour wait manager came full r&r name and address taken, not mine tho lol and a very happy 13 year old and an even happier 11 year old and a very miffed hubby
thankyou mcdonag.
thats xmas taken care of for them.;)0 -
twocoats that's a terrible situation to find yourself in.
I can't imagine that HO will be best pleased to hear that, R&R or not. That is a truly disgusting way for anyone to conduct themselves, regardless of whether they're a Tesco employee or not.
Unbelievable.
My experience with HO has been overwhelmingly positive, they seem like a genuinely decent bunch (at least KK/JL are), I would expect them to fully support you.0 -

I'm with mcdonag on this one. Tesco broke their own policy by letting you buy 3 in the first place. Get on to customer services in Dundee first thing in the morning and tell them how amazed, gobsmacked and confused you are.
If you let them get away with it, every other store will start making up their own loopholes to refuse r and r. Good luck.0 -

Pointed this out at CS and SA went back to shelf, removed the A$ poster and said she'd speak to her manager. She said "It's not your fault, you'll get your money back. This is out of date" I replied I was familiar with this policy as it happened a few weeks ago too with a book I'd bought.
Waited at desk for a few minutes and the next thing I know 3 or 4 staff were around me with the manager waving the A4 poster in my face saying "Where did you get this, this is not our point of sale" I replied "Excuse me" at which point he started a total rant and told the CS guy to call the police! He was saying "I'm fed up with this, we've had this in here before, I'm not giving you a refund, just call the police" He then proceeded to rip up the poster in front of my face stating "THERE!" I asked him exactly what he was accusing me of and if he thought I printed my own poster. He answered that he wasn't
giving me any refund and that was that. I asked for his name which he gave but was very aggressive and attempting to be intimidating throughout. This at the front door of Tesco at 5.45 on a Friday evening, very embarrassing. I asked what he would like me to do now as he had stated that he was calling the police. He replied "Just go" He still had my reciept and top up voucher which I asked him to return and he had crunched them up in his hand in his anger! I then left the shop and I went to the police station to report his threatening and abusive manner and to keep myself in the right. Head Office closed by the time I got home so I'll be calling first thing tomorrow.
Is it better to do this in writing or over the phone?
Any help greatly appreciated.0 -
leadhead wrote:I think the problem with HO only arises when your details "flag up" that you have had at least one other large R&R........making you a "serial R&R er", in their eyes...Although you seem to have got away with it quite well.....Ive heard of others getting banned for less, when they go in to get their refund.
I also had an Xbox the other week and I was treated equally well by KK, so I can only imagine there is some other factor.
I hate to say it, but is it accent or perhaps the style with which you conduct your side of the conversation?0 -
Hi,
I've finally found the leaflet/poster but I'm worried about the wording.
'Game of the week, £10 (or £20) off when bought with a console'
To me is seem the money is off the game so how do you argue/persuade the CS that it is off the console? The poster is new and has W/C 29/9, the current GOTW was FiFa on the Nintendo DS.
Any help so I can decide wether to go for it?
Thanks.0 -
