Does anyone know if the ps2 had an offer on with game of the week. I was in tesco today and it had a yellow sel in front saying offer ends 28/9. There were no posters to say anything about game of the week. I wasn't sure if the price might have gone up but I didn't have the nerve to try buying it.0

mcdonag how do you approach CS? Do you go up to them and just say "I believe I've been overcharged for this" or do you say something more like "this bundle was advertised as saving £20 together, and that's not the true price, do you realise that's illegal?"
was just wondering about your methods!

Just had terrible experience in Kilmarnock store. Noticed £20 of Virgin & Vodafone handsets was still up. Bought a Motorola L6 and discount didn't come off. Pointed this out at CS and SA went back to shelf, removed the A$ poster and said she'd speak to her manager. She said "It's not your fault, you'll get your money back. This is out of date" I replied I was familiar with this policy as it happened a few weeks ago too with a book I'd bought.
Waited at desk for a few minutes and the next thing I know 3 or 4 staff were around me with the manager waving the A4 poster in my face saying "Where did you get this, this is not our point of sale" I replied "Excuse me" at which point he started a total rant and told the CS guy to call the police! He was saying "I'm fed up with this, we've had this in here before, I'm not giving you a refund, just call the police" He then proceeded to rip up the poster in front of my face stating "THERE!" I asked him exactly what he was accusing me of and if he thought I printed my own poster. He answered that he wasn't giving me any refund and that was that. I asked for his name which he gave but was very aggressive and attempting to be intimidating throughout. This at the front door of Tesco at 5.45 on a Friday evening, very embarrassing. I asked what he would like me to do now as he had stated that he was calling the police. He replied "Just go" He still had my reciept and top up voucher which I asked him to return and he had crunched them up in his hand in his anger! I then left the shop and I went to the police station to report his threatening and abusive manner and to keep myself in the right. Head Office closed by the time I got home so I'll be calling first thing tomorrow.
Is it better to do this in writing or over the phone?
Any help greatly appreciated.0 -

Call HO in morning, inform them police involved and see what they say. If they ask what do you want to happen say you would be willing to call off the heavies if you were compensated accordingly and the manager gave you a verbal apology in front of his staff.

With the xboxes I just go to CS and state that I notice that the £20 discount hasn't come off.
I say as little as possible really, let them make verbal errors instead. I'm a very big lad and I let my military gait do the rest.

don't threaten them/tell them they are breaking the law, you'll only get their backs up - its alot easier if the cs staff are happy and on your side0 -
OOOOOO MG! I cant believe you were treated like that!!
Firstly, get a cuppa, sit down and write it all out again, then try to have an evening not thinking about it.
Tomorrow, phone CS, EMAIL and write a letter, state you were SOOOOO intimidated and scared of the threatening behaviour, in front of so many other customers (make sure you get that in) that you had to go to the police station and make a complaint. (That will get the little hitler some serious flack) Make sure when you phone CS tomorrow, you ask to speak to a Supervisor straight away, ask nicely and you should get one. And relay all info you have written down! DEMAND (in a nice way) AN APOLOGY FROM THE JUMPED UP SH!TE AND YOUR MONEY BACK!! Really lay it on with the threatening behaviour, because no matter how you describe it to someone over the phone, it wont sound as bad as it was!!
I am in shock for you!Sig ah Sig Ahhh0 -
I have noticed in a local tesco that the game of the week poster week commencing 22/9 is still up advertising just cause when bought with an xbox 360 console is £20 off, just cause does have a yellow sel but with an expiry of 28/9, will that work correctly tomorrow if I buy it or will it go through wrong and leave me entitled to R+R?0

Probably not because someone else would have got it. If you go now you might be lucky. You have a very good chance of an R&R.
Be there or be square.
